This salon is AMAZING. They are beyond friendly and willing to work you in last minute! They truly take there time and even gave my little girl some nail polish on her fingers to keep her calm down while I was getting my color changed and the nice lady was so good and patient with her from picking her polish to painting her nails. Stopped into this nail salon because it had good reviews and I was in the area. I waited about 10 minutes and they got me in for a fill, which I appreciated very much. I first asked for my cuticles to be cut before my fill but she said I didn't need it. Then she asked where I got my previous nails done and she didn't think they were done well and were too thick. Okay. Then she proceeded to make my nails square and when I asked her to make them more square round she said they would be reshaped after the gel??? Ok, she did a nice job of making them thin and smooth, but then once the gel was done she used the emery board to shape them again, which took the gel off the edges/ends. I have never seen this done before. Then once outside I noticed a lot of rough edges and she never cleaned behind the nail base. I had left by now so I sat there for 5 minutes smoothing the edges and taking off loose parts of the nails. Then next day I was opening a plastic container that didn't take much effort and ended up chipping off a corner of my thumb nail. Now my thumb edge is jagged and chipped. Needless to say I'm not really happy right now. I will not be going back because I believe it was one of the owners that did my nails and if that's how they train their employees I would not want the same to happen again. I gave them 2 stars because they got me in quickly, had a clean nice salon and were pretty friendly. read more

One time my gel manicure peeled after just a couple of days and they were happy to fix it and I noticed that they have since changed their application procedure and the gels last 2 weeks, which is great! I decided it was time for a change and wanted to be closer to home, I usually get my facial done at Hand and stone happen to see that their was a nail spa, I thought I am going to check the nail spa next time I need my nails done so I did. I was on my way to Holly Nails when I thought is not 10:00 yet and I will be waiting for half hour so at the light I turn to Galaxy Dr pulled up to spa at 9:30 and I see they were open for business I thought great walked in with no appointment was taken in right away and had the pedicure and full set of nails done and was very satisfy. It is very pleasant atmosphere people soft spoken and I also like that they had surround music very pleasant and lights light on the eyes. I personally will not be taking my business back here. As I waited for half an hour I didn't mind that part. It was the part when the employee took me back to the sit and get my feet done, as he says something to his co workers and they started to laugh and stared at me before I could take my shoes off and sit in the chair. Every time the nail tech asked me what I wanted and I answered they laughed when clearly nothing was funny. My feet were half way done, but my nails turned out good. ZERO Stars for Galaxy Nails on Manchester blvd in Lacey, NJ. My gel nails were breaking off & breaking apart within the first 7 days of getting done. I had to go back twice for repair, the first time I tipped the girl just to be nice, the second time they charged me to fix 2 other broken nails. After telling me they wouldnt charge. Ive been doing gel nails for many years & never had this experience anywhere else. Additionally, they were very rough and rude!! They also insisted that I need a new set and thats why they broke and that is not true Waste of time and waste of money. Will not be going back! Very disappointed. Called to confirmed if there's availability open and I was told yes 5-10mins so I arrived there and first of all the lady on the front desk is RUDE!! I told her I wanted gel on my toes and acrylic on my nails. She gave me a whole colors to choose from and so I wanted to confirm if all of this is the same color for gel and acrylic and she got all sassy with me raised her voiced like I do not understand what I'm saying. We had argument because of that simple question like seriously. This place sucks at customer service and do not understand simple question. i forgot to add that i think this salon might use mma? im not entirely sure, they could possibly not be using it. every time i asked for a soak off, they would pop off my acrylics, leaving my natural nails painfully thin. thinner than paper. salons that do use mma will pop off nails instead of soaking them because it's pretty obvious that they used mma when soaking them off, because the acrylic will come off all gummy. i could be wrong, they could just have no care or sympathy for the customers wants and nail health. either way, i don't think they do because one time the owner was working on a woman's gel manicure next to me, and she asked for her previous gel polish to be removed. he started using the drill to remove it and she asked why he was using the drill on her natural nail instead of soaking them off. he said that soaking them off takes too long and wouldn't want to make her wait. i think everyone in their right mind would rather wait than have their nails shredded off like how hers looked when he was finished. i would recommend going to another salon, or going to someone from instagram (what i am doing) there are many people such as @danyfloresnails @the.vanilla.nails @glamnails_nikki @thi.beautybox @sulysnailography @ttaonails @_channails etc. most of these are kind of far from this salon, but i personally think a long drive is better than paying so much for someone to ruin your nails. and you know theyll do a good job because you can see all of their past work. if you want to find more just look up #washingtonnails or #laceynails #lakewoodnails etc. read more

Went in for a mani/pedi with a friend, the technician doing her toe nails accidentally knocked a bottle of nail polish to the ground and it shattered dark purple (pretty much black) polish all over the floor, spa tubs, AND MY PURSE!!! The girl said she was sorry. A guy comes over and attempts to clean my purse with straight ACETONE, just smearing it around. Tells me he will finish later and goes back to the woman he was working on. Everyone in the salon was shocked. Mouths open. The women across from me getting pedis were like Omg sweetie I can't believe that you're not freaking out, I would be devastated, angry, etc. At no point did he ever come back, a manager never came over to apologize, to offer a discount, a new purse, anything!! To top it off, my girlfriend goes to pay for her services, and then he asks me for $60 for my services. I was like REALLY???? I need to talk to the owner or manager please. So she came over and said what's the problem?? I said I don't understand why I'm being charged after my purse was ruined. Then showed her the once gray but now entirely purple smeared bag. She goes, "SO.. It was accident." I said I understand it was an accident but I think it is wrong to charge me after ruining my bag. She goes " I don't know what you want me to do." I told her if this was my business I would have came over immediately and profusely apologized then said all services will be free today, or offer to buy you a new purse or give you money towards purchasing a new bag. She goes "whatever fine you not pay then" and walked away. I gave the technician who did my nails $20 for a tip and apologized to him for the situation then left. NEVER RETURNING!!! Not to mention mine and my friends gel manicures were peeling up 4 days later. :( read more

NEVER AGAIN! Went to have dip removed. My dip was done at another salon but the male employee at Galaxy said they could soak them off, no problem, in 15-20min. I arrived at my appt time. I was sat at a filthy nail station. A woman came over & literally said nothing to me, just took a sharp plastic nail and shoved it between my natural nail & dip. She ripped a quarter of my pinky nail off. I stopped her and asked about soaking them first. She sighed like it was a huge inconvenience & walked away. She never came back. A second woman came over & soaked my nails, drilled, soaked, drilled..and after 25min removed most of the dip. There's still a layer on all my nails, bits of dip stuck to my skin & underneath one of my thumbnails. I just wanted to get the heck out of this salon so I paid the $10 (plus $5 tip, b/c I'm nice) I will not be back! As a licensed cosmetologist for 10yrs, I must say...this was the most filthy, unhygienic & unprofessional nail salon I've ever encountered! Think twice before booking. There's lots of salon competition out there..this place needs to clean up their act. read more
