    Grilled cheese sandwich and chips
    Mage L.

You really can't be $6 for a grilled cheese sandwich and chips. No, it's not the best food ever, but it's cheaper than basically anything else in the area. If you're having trouble finding the place, you go in through the main entrance on Temple, go up the stairs on the right, and it'll be on your right next to the gift shop.

Valero grill located here in church area. In la. Great spot to chill and relax after mass we had some breakfast burritos and they was yummy yummy. Price not to bad and there is plenty of seating here. Staff was nice and friendly. I recommend stopping by. But there only open on Sunday at this time till 2 pm. Hopefully they get more support

Turkey pesto panini with no tomato
    Jennipher C.

I came here after mass one day on my lunch break. The menu is very simple and includes soups, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas, among other items. I decided to try the turkey pesto panini. I'm a bit picky and ordered no tomatoes in it, which wasn't a problem at all. I waited only a few minutes for my lunch to be ready. It was served with potato chips, which weren't oily or greasy. I think my panini was pretty good. It did have some cranberries in it, which gave it a good flavor. The pesto wasn't too prominent, which is something I would want. I'd definitely come back and try some of their soups. The prices here aren't bad either. With tax my sandwich came out to a little over $8. It was filling enough to hold me over until dinner and didn't make me feel too full. I do recommend this place and I'll definitely be back!

Galero Grill's the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels on-site Cafeteria. It's small with a good selection of breakfast and lunch foods. They recommend 3 vegetarian salads for lunch ($9). I just wanted one ($4). My small salad was a nice size. The cheese danish was too. Tasty. Spiritual lunch on the patio by the water fountain with city workers and tourists.

This place is in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. It's a pleasant place to eat, but the prices are a tad expensive. I think the nice outdoor seating makes up for it. The Cathedral is such a beautiful place and most of the people I saw there weren't going to church. Like another reviewer said, some guys were just talking about politics and having lunch. (I saw people like that too, maybe we saw the same group of people haha) I had a cheese pizza and it honestly wasn't very good, but the tranquility and beauty of the Cathedral kind of made up for it. Maybe the pizza here just sucks, I don't know. It was totally not worth the price so next time I might order something different. It's just such a pretty place to have lunch at! My friend had the cheese danish and said it was really good. I guess I'm getting that next time.

BBQ chicken pizza with Farro salad on the side. Very tasty.

This restaurant is located on the second level of the Our Lady of the Angels cathedral, across the street from the building I work in. There are a lot of marginally acceptable cafeterias in these government buildings, but I really enjoy this place. It can be a bit pricey, but if you stick to the soup and pizza slice combo special for lunch, you won't be disappointed...as long as you remember it's cafeteria food and not a gourmet cafe.

I really like this place. Every time I have to come to the Cathedral for an event, I like to come in for a cup on Coffee, sit down, and chit chat with some friends of mine who also arrive early. I haven't had the food there yet, but hope to have the opportunity in the near future to dine in. The staff is very nice and cater to their customers well.

Been here a few times now for lunch. It is sort of like cafeteria food mixed with a lunch counter. The location is great and if you attend mass they will validate you enough time to eat lunch as well. Service is ok for what it is. The food however can be hit or miss. There are several menu options - usually an entree or two, a pizza of the day, and a few regular items. I tend to like the pizzas, some of the entrees (usually pasta but sometimes other dishes), some of the sandwiches, and almost all of the soups which are some of the best things they offer. Downsides? When I come on Wednesday for the music they are often out of the specials by the time the performance is over. While nothing here is bad, there are also few hits. Unfortunately the prices are somewhat high for what is not guaranteed to be a good meal. That said, I always enjoy eating here and it is one of the few places I enjoy where the location is more important than the food quality. I am also guilty of hitting the coffee and cookie bar in this place which offers several tasty dessert treats. Worth a try - just don't expect too much.

    Quesadilla.

I love the chicken quesadilla of Galero Grill! I have tried the panini and the bbq brisket quesadilla and even though every thing was good my favorite will always be the chicken quesadilla! It comes with pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. The place is on the inside the cathedral building right in front of the main church. The place is super clean, the people working there is very friendly and attentive. The prices are affordable, and they have seating area inside and outside the place. I love it here!

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! I ordered The Spicy P ($16.00), featuring a chicken cutlet, spicy vodka sauce, mozzarella, basil pesto, grated Romano, and fresh basil, all on a grilled seeded baguette. As a big fan of Chicken Parm, a dish I enjoyed often growing up, I was thrilled to find a place serving it on the West Coast. I used to get chicken parm subs regularly when I lived in MA, so it was wonderful to find something that brought back those familiar flavors - a truly authentic East Coast-style sandwich. I appreciated the chewiness of the seeded baguette and the sesame seeds added a nice textural element. The bread was soft and fresh, and the chicken cutlets were excellent, smothered in gooey, cheesy goodness. While I loved the spicy vodka sauce, it wasn't very spicy, especially for a sandwich named "Spicy."I really enjoyed the Spicy P and would definitely order it again, but I'd also like to come back and try The Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap next time.
