I recently came across Oui Melrose and I need to talk about their khachapuri. This traditional Georgian dish has been part of my life since childhood. Sunday mornings were sacred in our house, my dad would always bring some for breakfast. We tried it from so many different places in LA over the years, so I know what real khachapuri should taste like. I've now had it from Oui Melrose (2 days in a row ), and honestly, there are no words for how incredible it is. Wanted some sandwiches and was not disappointed with Oui Melrose. Fortunately we went off hours and were able to find parking as well as being able to walk in and just order was great. The menu is not complicated or very large, and has a specialty item like a stuffed bread with different options named after possibly the founder of the restaurant. Khachapuri is the item, but we did not get it this time. We got a Chicken Ceaser Laffa wrap as well as a Chicken Parm and Bolognese sandwich. They did not take very long to get prepared and brought to our table. These are very good size sandwiches, you can easily eat it as two meals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us make our decision on what to order. It is a very bright place. Has odd artwork, not really a style or anything. A picture of a cow, a watercolor landscape. A fish chart. Something else that I forget.... Just odd, does not really work together, but oh well. Maybe these are from employees or were donated or something. But on to the sandwiches.... They were really good. I think I liked the Ceaser better than the chicken parm and Bolognese sandwich. But it was a hot day and the Ceaser was a bit more refreshing. The bread and wrap were good. Lots of sauce and dressing. Lots of stuff stuffed into the sandwiches. Good stuff. Parking can be tricky. It was the girliest of girls days and my friend planned a whole day for us to hang out since im leaving LA! She made the best choice for lunch and decided we would hit up Oui for Lunch! Arrived here at around 1pm and took a ood look at the menu before placing our order up front. So, ive been here before many upon many years ago when they only had the normal cod sandwich available, which was great! But, when I saw they had a nashville hot version, i totally had to get my hands on that. My friend got the garlic chicken sandwich. Both were amaxing! Hers was warm and cheesy with lots of garlic flavor. Mine was so so perfect. I'm a girl who loves spicy and this had a great amount of kick on it. The cod itself was flavorful, flakey with a beautifully crispy outside. Perfect for the warm day it was. We both had lemonades which were also very good. Also want to mention that both sandwiches were HUGE! We both couldn't finish either and had to take them home. The version of me who had it later that evening was very very happy. Give this small shop a big six (or more) stars. There is seating inside for about 10 or so people. Metered street parking is your only option. You order at the counter. The chicken parm with bolognese is fantastic. It is an extremely hearty sandwich and is about as good as a chicken parm sandwich can get. The garlic chicken sandwich is also wonderful. The garlic flavor is strong but not overdone. This is another very hearty sandwich and it is excellent. It sounds ordinary but the excellent ingredients and preparation make this special. The bacon and chive khachapuri is a work of art. You pick your crust preference. I chose za'atar at the recommendation of the counter employee and was very happy with its nutty flavor. Professor Google told me that khachapuri is a "cheese-filled bread" from Georgia (the country kinda near Russia, not the state) and that is a good description. It comes with a barely fried egg in the middle. If you love bread and especially cheese--and who doesn't--this dish is for you. It is a belly bomb but worth every calorie. I had it for lunch and was not a bit unhappy that I was too full for dinner. Do not sleep on the baked goods, either. Is there anything they don't do well here? The salted chocolate cookie was excellent and a perfect blend of sweet and salty. The cinnamon cookie butter cookie was very good, too. Oh my gosh. I will say that if you're coming to LA for a day trip and want a fast meal that'll blow your mind, please please come here. I'm actually so sad that I've already finished the leftovers I had from this place, it's that good. My friend and I went for dinner and split the chicken parm sandwich and garlic fries, both 10/10 in my book. We also got the orange blossom and pistachio donut which was an interesting flavor that slowly grows on you. All the food was so good that I went back for lunch the next day and got their spiced chicken laffas and it may have been the best thing I've eaten this month. So my bf and I wanted to save money but we wanted to eat some delicious and I realized after failing another restaurant with bbq, that this one was near by and the ratings were good so we headed in! And boy oh boy and I glad we did!!! One of the best burgers I've had hands downs. Got their mushroom burger. So juicy and melts in ur mouth. Def tastes high quality and they know what they're doing. Oui Melrose is it cool eatery located in the Hollywood area and they have tons of options. My food got here relatively fast. I'm pretty far away from it so great service on that front and they had to buy one get one free, which is always great. So I got a cheesesteak and I have a pretty high standard for cheesesteaks. In my opinion, the bread could've been a little bit more toasted the steak a tad bit more seasoning and it could've been saucier. The meat had good texture and consistency, and I didn't feel like there was enough cheese on it.Like I thought it should've been oozing cheese. After having this on my list of places to try for a long time, I finally found myself in the area and picked up two cheesesteaks and a chocolate cookie for lunch for my husband and I. Metered street parking was fortunately easy to snag at about noon on a Saturday. Food was ready on time and pick up was friendly and easy. Even after the 20 minute drive home, food stayed nice and hot! We both enjoyed our cheesesteaks, noting that they are on the sweeter side due to the caramelized onions. The sweetness made them feel untraditional and reminded me more of a French dip, sans the dip. Tasty! Reasonably priced for a fresh and flavorful sandwich with decent heft. This is going to be a very limited review; however, it is still 5 stars. I ordered (on the Oui Website) a Fried Cod Sandwich on 03/20/2026 at about 4:30pm. I ordered it for someone else and then dropped it off to them. After ordering online, it was ready in about 15 minutes and it was ready promptly at the time stated. There is easy neighborhood parking nearby, and the person at the counter was very friendly. The person who ate the sandwich gave it 5 stars. They said that even though he ate it hours later, it still held up very well and was so tasty. We did order the nashville hot sauce on the side. Our only recommendation is that if you want it "hot" order the sandwich with the sauce already mixed into the sandwich batter. The sauce does tend to separate if you order it on the side. I work in dtla and decided to take the drive to checkout this restaurant. Luckily I found a meter to park directly in front of the shop. I ordered the Chicken parm with Bolognese. Oui is one of my favorite sandwich shops! First off it's very organized, clean efficient. I've been there at least a dozen times the gentleman at the counter has a smile that would light up a room, beautiful guy and he acts like he really wants to be there. That's the first thing that hit you they're codfish sandwich is spicy and delicious. The coding is just the right amount. It's my favorite. The donuts over the weekend are fabulous.
