eggs, corn beef hash, tomatoes and grits

Stopped in randomly for breakfast on Easter and was pleasantly surprised! The service was great. our waitress was super attentive and went above and beyond for the kids. She even brought out little Easter eggs and bunnies for them, which was such a sweet touch. The food was delicious. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and grits. everything was cooked perfectly, and the coffee hit the spot. The pancakes were fluffy and so good. My husband got the Cajun breakfast special and said it was the perfect combo of flavor and spice. My kids said the chocolate milk was "super duper delicious" Definitely will be coming back.

Covered patio

Yum! Located on Summerland Key, this restaurant was packed with patrons when we stopped in around 11. We ended up eating in the outside dining area with jackets on but no complaints from us. I had a western omelet with potatoes and toast and coffee while my husband had a 2 stack of pancakes, bacon and a parfait with orange juice. The omelet was large and full of ingredients but THE POTATOES are worth everything and then some. Perfectly seasoned (not too salty) with spices including garlic, they were chunked with skin on. I seldom eat the potatoes but I scarfed them down. Pancakes and bacon were what you would expect but the orange juice was clearly fresh and the parfait was outstanding with what appeared to be home made granola and fresh blueberries and strawberries. The bathroom was outside of the building and single use- clean and tidy.

While on our vacation in the Florida Keys we while looking for a place to eat breakfast we were told my a local that the Galley Grill was a great choice. We were con the area so we thought to give it a try. After finally finding a place to park we went inside and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once seated the service seemed fairly quick. I had the brisket and gravy with eggs and my wife had eggs and pancakes. The food, service and prices were great.

This place was delicious! What an awesome lil greasy spoon! My husband had the omlet and I had the choc chip pancakes and they were amazing!! Would definitely come back to try other stuff!!! We loved to sit outside/inside in the open air area the blueberry pomegranate mimosa was also delicious!!

Gluten free veggie Benedict with grits

We stopped here on our way out of Key West for breakfast and it was good. I'm gluten free (celiac) and I ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with a side of grits. The portion was big with tons of veggies. Next time I'd probably order something else because there is a ton to choose from! They also have good protocols and she assured me it's all done in a clean part of the griddle. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and it looked delicious. Would come back again!

Sometimes you have to do a double take when something captures you. Greatness sometimes is hard to…read morefind. So I circled back to South of the Seven was still delivering the goods. Well, the answer is Hell yeah! (Steve Austin voice). The down home charm feeling from the staff is true warmth. What I think Keys hospitality should be! We had cocktails that were beautifully crafted. To start there was an amuse bouche of a smooth creamy bisque. Followed by duck wings and crispy fish collars! Yes I came back to them for a 2nd look. For awhile I kept seeing a special offering on the menu. When I would call to inquire, it was no longer available. Well, guess what was on the men? The Kan Kan Chop!!! Let me tell you. This beautifully sculpted cut of pork includes the rib, the chop and the belly!!!! 2 people carried it out on a board! I admired it in amazement. They asked if I was sharing it? Uh, no. Accompanied by super soft bao buns, Jasmine rice and hoisin it was worth the wait. Chloe was excellent at helping to select items to make for a wonderful dining experience! The steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Do not be fooled by the looks of this place! Pull up, pull in and enjoy. You'll thank me later

Amazing food, great vibes, and even better people. If you have not been yet, you are seriously missing out. Highly recommend!

I'm not a picky eater by any means, but the food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the burger, and it had almost no flavor. My wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and it was topped with what tasted like individually wrapped processed cheese, which really took away from the sandwich. Our soft drinks were flat and served in very small plastic cups. For about $70 for two entrées and an appetizer, we expected much better quality. The outdoor seating was covered with picnic tables, which was a nice break from the Florida sun and probably the most comfortable part of the meal. The atmosphere, however, wasn't what we expected. The staff spent much of the time sitting at a nearby table using profanity, and we never felt particularly welcome. As visitors, we got the impression that locals were the priority and tourists were just passing through. The one bright spot was the property itself. Seeing the Key deer and colorful chameleons wandering around made for some great photos and was honestly the highlight of our visit. Maybe this is a better stop if you're looking for a place to grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere, but based on our experience, we wouldn't come back for the food.
