This place should get 5 stars just for having a large gluten free breakfast menu. However the food was just okay. I enjoyed the gluten free blueberry pancakes that were large and fluffy and had big fresh tasting blueberries inside with a multigrain flavor and I enjoyed the coffee,but everything else we had from the soggy home fries that we requested to be extra crispy to the undercooked eggs on the Eggs Benedict, may be a preference thing, but they were cooked over easy and we're used to a more solid yolk ( probably should have been asked how we wanted them prepared just like any other egg breakfast) was just okay diner food. This is just my opinion about one breakfast, so give it a try if you're looking for a diner with gluten free selections. read more

I'm always skeptical when ordering crab cakes bc not everyone knows how to make them. The crab cakes here are AMAZING and moist, tasty sauce to go along with it and Just perfection on a platter! The bacon Gouda burger was also spectacular. Super juicy and the meat was made just as requested with a great combination of flavors to boot. No extra muffin- which made it just right. (not a bread fan all the time.). Let me start by saying that I've never in my life encountered such a rude bunch of women (employees) as I have this place. Not once but TWICE. First day was the hostess on duty who refused my friend and I to live the two front chairs out of the way of the rain. I've had two back surgeries so for me standing very long is painful. I try and sit if it will be a lengthy wait. Her response to us was, and I quote, "We are still trying to work". In no way were we keeping them from working. She just didn't like that we moved them over out of the rain because that's not where "they" had them placed. Day Two: Our waitress started out nice and that quickly went downhill as we were placing our food order. I wanted to know the portion size based on the fact of making sure it was worth my husband ordering it (costly for what it was). When she answered my question she really wasn't sure so I responded with, "Oh goodness!" She looked at me and turned extremely defensive in a split second and said, "don't order it then". I honestly was waiting on a giggle afterwards because I thought that it had to have been a joke. NOPE! Made our entire breakfast setting very uncomfortable. We aren't familiar with the area so I don't think we had another option close by. Please reconsider eating here as it's clear the owner/management allows their employees to behave how they want even if it means running away customers. read more

When your on the way back from Key West and your tummy wants that last brunch from the Keys, then Galley Grill is your place. I made a u-turn after passing this low-key place. Definitely a local favorite by perception with the Sheriff vehicle pulling in at the same time. The weather was perfect to eat outside on their covered patio. The best part is they serve brunch. The waitress was very nice and friendly. She told us about the specials and was very attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. Big croissant sandwiches were hot, flakey, and buttery to perfection. The coffee was excellent and they serve it different style mugs, giving it that homely feeling. We're glad we made that u-turn. This place is a local gem. Will visit this place again when we revisit the Keys Florida. read more

I love this place. I have celiacs so finding gluten free restaurants are different and finding restaurants with good gluten free food is even harder to find. Good breakfast spot Typical diner offerings. This seems to be "the" place for breakfast on Cudjoe. It's small inside and out and packed each time I went. (That's a good sign) Staff is friendly and food is out quickly! I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the espresso offerings were! Nice to get a decent cup of coffee on a small key. Stopped for breakfast with my two boys and my wife. The food was nothing special and for what we were brought I thought it was a bit in the pricey side. I know it the keys, everything is or seems more expensive but to me this was just a bit too much. My dish was not as hot as I would have liked or expected. My eggs were ordered as "over easy" which to me, means that the wires should be fully cooked, unfortunately they weren't. The toast was not fresh and was soggy with butter and the grits were good but on the overdone side. The pancakes were the star of the show and were excellent. Highly recommend these huge and tasty cakes. Staff was friendly and a pleasure to work with. read more

Im not really sure how we came across this place, but we were glad we did! We came right at the end of breakfast but luckily were still able to get it. We chose to sit outside, which I loved. We could indulge in the island atmosphere. It was shaded and relaxing. The breakfast was really good and the waitress was accommodating. Fast service. Our service (Dawn?) was a doll. Food was great. Had the Greek omelette. Oftentimes me yes say kalamata olives and it's olives from the can, frozen spinach and subpar feta but this was fresh spinach, actual kalamata olives and delish feta. Partner had the shrimp and grits and LOVED it. If I had to be picky, the toast isn't really toasted but that is just a thing of mine. Really good place. read more

They are the cutest mom and pop shop in the middle to lower keys right in summerland. They have a sweet potato hash brown that is nowhere else to be found in the keys. It's always so busy that you can't ever get a table because the breakfast is so superb. Having the most basic delicious breakfast meals that make you feel at home. read more

Spot was close & fairly empty when we arrived for breakfast. Service was quick and prompt. We had pancakes and a breakfast croissant sandwich. Everything was cooked to order and we were in and out fairly quickly. Would suggest going early as we've driven past around 9:30-10 and it gets pretty busy with lots of people waiting in the parking lot. read more

I never leave reviews but this was actually terrible. We came in 10 min after breakfast ended and was told we had to order lunch which is understandable even though they were still bringing out breakfast food 30 min after the time . My boyfriend ordered a quesadilla and i got a Cesar wrap. We waited 40 minutes for the food and my chicken was raw in the wrap. Awful experience and the server didn't care to ask how the food was or anything. read more
