We tried Little Skewers and unfortunately it wasn't a great experience for us…read more The skewers arrived warm at best, not hot, and the flavor was just okay. One thing that really bothered me was that the waiter accidentally placed another customer's skewers on our plate, then took them back and served them to the other table. That was very off-putting and made me question the restaurant's food handling practices. As for the food itself, the seasoning seemed off and the dishes were a little bland for my taste. It may simply be a matter of personal preference, but the flavors did not impress me. The restaurant is located inside a building and is fairly small. The atmosphere is a bit dark, which wasn't my preference either. Overall, the experience was just average, and I don't think I would return. It may appeal to others, but the food and atmosphere were not my style.

I joked that maybe they can pay mine as well. Lol. Food is also surprisingly good. Highlight is the malatang golden soup beef. It is reviewed by others. I think this is a must get in this place, especially you won't be full from eating their skewers. The oyster is also excellent. The only negative thing are their skewers. They really live up to their name of the restaurant (Little skewers). There were barely any meats in the pork belly skewers. The hot plate doesnt really work. The lamb skewers were not hot when it is sitting there for more than 30 minutes. Lamn skewers aren't that good. Potato twirls is the best, with fish tofu the 2nd best.

Got an assortment of skewers, cold noodles, drink Ferris wheel, cold cucumbers, etc. We had a vegetarian with us, which they were able to accommodate (veggie skewers served separate, cold noodles w/o meat). We ended up getting a couple more rounds of skewers. They have a seemingly cheaper set of skewers (lamb + beef deal), but the quantity of meat was lower - would recommend just getting the normal skewers. The drink Ferris wheel was kinda fun, but honestly the blue ones were dreadful - if you can, order only the pink shots. Overall, ok food quality (3/5) at a very decent price (4/5). Came out to be like $40 pp. More of a drink and chill kind of place, grazing on food, rather a food-as-a-priority spot.

Come with a group of 3-4 people. That's the ideal size to try everything. We got the shots sampler, a bunch of skewers, some mains. We wanted to get the grilled fish pot but it's a bit messy to eat that. I'll be coming back. The one star is taken away Cos the service is a bit on the slow side. Come here if you're looking for a slow chill night.

We asked about happy hour since Instagram said they had it, but turns out it's not a thing anymore. They owned the miscommunication and took care of us, offering $8 wine, discounts on a couple appetizers, and even a complimentary extra glass of wine to make it up. We ordered a few things off the tapas menu. The popcorn chicken, the octopus, uni and foie gras, short ribs, and beef tacos. The short ribs leaned a bit dry, but everything else was on point. Standout by far was the uni and foie gras. A little pricey for 4 pieces but very delicious. Big shoutout to the 2 staff on site, very friendly, warm and responsive throughout. I would recommend Tavern 157 if you're in the area looking for something casual with good drinks and food and not in the mood for Korean food. Just double-check happy hour before you go, as they mentioned a new one may be coming. Overall, a really enjoyable first visit.

But, the oysters tasted pretty fresh with little to no sea water taste. The interior of this restaurant is unique and interesting with nice ambiance. The service was good at first until we asked for the bill and a 20% gratuity fee was applied which is for a party of 6 or more (as stated in the menu), but we only had 5 people. When we asked the waitress about this, she said that the statement in the menu isn't updated, and that they charge this fee on weekends because it's busier (not stated in the menu). Mind you the restaurant was completely empty when we walked in at 8pm. However, the waitress did ended up refunding us the difference for the tip.
