I was a first timer at player one and it's hard to believe as I always drive by this place. But lately we've been into bar/arcades and this place was recommend. It's an cool spot overall but you'd definitely be bumping into people from "the valley" Then bar is in the main room you walk into and towards the back is the rest of the game machines. They have skeeball, the of Mario kart, pinball machines, air hockey as many others. Overall it's a cool place to hang out, no parking lot, you'd have to find parking on Main Street or neighborhood.

I love me a good bar-cade! They also carry my favorite marshmallow stout beer, which is a big plus. Once you get inside, you'll notice it's not very large of a place. There's one main room with games and one room for drinks. There's pinball machines, air hockey, basketball, skeeball, DDR, shooting games, Mario kart, and a few other things. It's a fourth of a D&B, without food and without much ventilation. It can get pretty hot in there. It's also quite crowded during Friday and Saturday evenings. There's karaoke, too, which is a big draw for people. The bathrooms are usually filthy. :( Cute mirror, though. Street parking is your best bet in this area. Make sure to pay your meter.

I've been to Player One twice over the last few months. It's a good place to go on a Friday/Saturday night if you want to play some arcade games and have a few drinks, and the drinks are strong. Most of the games are fully functional but the last time I went there were a few that were out of service. They gave a decent sized drink menu and the drinks come in single or double shots. This is a nice place to take a date or simply hang with a few friends.

Good drinks, old school games, a few new ones, and karaoke! The bartender was really cool too. Overall this is a good place to visit with small-medium sized groups. I would love to come back!

Such a good time at Player One! This is a no frills barcade that's great for a night out with friends. We went a little on the earlier side of a Saturday night and while it was busy, we didn't have to wait for any games. There are LOADS of options of games to play including a lot of classic favorites like House of the Dead, The Simpsons and DDR! Lots and lots of pinball machines too. They have a machine that will give you quarters so bring cash! The bar here is pretty simple, so don't expect any elaborate cocktail list. Though they do have some fun drink specials! I really appreciate that they have water available and easily accessible. Especially because I was all over the DDR machine and needed some serious hydration that wasn't alcohol. FYI Do not entirely recommend playing DDR after a cocktail but boy did I have fun! Also, I have to express my gratitude for the friendliest bouncer I have ever encountered. Not only was he welcoming, but he gave us the complete rundown of how the games work and the house rules so we knew exactly what to expect walking in. Be sure to check out this awesome barcarde spot right here in the SFV! SO much fun!

The evening that I came here with the boys, we originally were trying to get some climbing time in. (The climbing gym we chose was renovating and thus really limited in terms of available climbing spaces, which we deemed not worth the cost of entrance.) Instead, we opted for this arcade which was fun but also a lot to take in. I was thinking about the cost effectiveness of spending money to try to win cute prizes versus just going to buy the cute prizes. (It then makes me think about supply chains of such cute prizes and if they are gate-kept or otherwise reserved for arcade businesses. I am now thinking about drop-shippers and how I will never allow myself to fall prey to them again.) Back to my arcade experience, I had the most fun claiming our prizes, as it was interesting trying to balance out the total costs and use our winnings strategically.

I visited player one to see if it would be a good wedding venue. It's honestly a lot of fun, the games are all one dollar and you pay in quarters, the drinks are strong, and the staff is friendly. Service is great too, great place for a date night/1st date/trivia Tuesdays

From my standpoint, the best arcade in LA. Nice reason: They hosted a wedding reception for me recently! Event planning and staff were incredibly supportive and attentive to details. We got to play some nice wedding themed visuals on the screens and allow everyone for a nice afternoon of play and drinks (with catering delivering to us). Aside our special event, they have a nice selection of games, a very relaxing atmosphere, nice drinks, and special events like karaoke! If you're at all a nostalgic arcade goer or into gaming in some capacity, it is a must visit.

I went right when it opened on a sunday around 5pm. I got a cocktail that was a little bit on the sweeter side (which is my personal preference) so i enjoyed my drink! BRING COINS! The only downside, is each game is about a dollar in quarters to play. Some of the other games even require 8 quarters. So the games are definitely not cheap to play and your coins go very very fast in there. The music was great, they were playing 80s music which was fun. Not really a lot to do in there aside playing games. But overall it was a super cute place to be!

They do public karaoke here on the weekend if you buy a drink. They give you stamp and you can sing all night. All the workers here were super nice and personable. Real great vibe here. The games are great. They take tokens. Bathrooms and the whole arcade is clean. I would definitely come here again. Love the ddr

Ask the Community - Player One

When and what time is karaoke?

    Can all ages enter?

    21+ only

Do they have access to Xboxes and PSs?

I didn't see any Xboxes or PS. They did have a couple emulator arcade cabinets that played N64 Mario Kart. But that's all I remember really.

Do they sell cocktails, or is it wine and beer only?

    They do sell cocktails.

Can 20 year olds come in?

    No, it's 21+. Grownups only :)

    Is the arcade open?

Yes, it was set up that you get your drinks from bar and have to drink them outside and go inside for the games with mask of course. Now that indoor dining is open to 25% not sure if it's changed cuz they do have food options now. Give them a call.…

    Is this only 21+?

Yes, they ID at the door.

Do you have to be 21?

Yes, 21 and over is required because of our liquor license. Unless it is a private, closed party.

The outside of the building has Asian characters painted on it. Being that it's not a full bar is the menu selection going to offer a decent sake? Like a Junmai ginjo?…

    Probably not

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!

We reserved a table for our large group of 16 and we were informed that it would be about $150 for the table. We were told it would include a bottle of prosecco and automatic gratuity. But we were warned that if we showed up after 10, we'd still have to pay the cover charge ($5). The inside has low lighting and there is a security guard posted at the entrance. The spot is surrounded by a couple of fast food spots, like the dog haus. And, of course, a taco truck and hot dog vendor show up later in the night! I appreciated that the music was at a good volume; I didnt have to scream to people to get them to hear me. They have a water station conveniently located at the bar. The drinks were great (they've got happy hour prices before 10). And its pretty empty until after 10. I enjoyed my margarita and the Mexican candy shot that I was able to request to have made. Honestly, the drinks were awesome! Since some people from our party werent able to show (down to 11), we were able to ask about the smaller group table, closer to the bar. Our original table was in the back, after the dance floor. Its great if you want to be isolated. Our table ended up being $100, probably cause we didnt get that promised prosecco and it didnt have table service, which worked for us. We had fun dancing. Even though, the music being played wasnt what we consider as throwback hip-hop/reggaeton. The bathrooms were pretty small, with an odd layout (a step before the two stalls). I'd check this nightclub out again!
