Stopped for a beer while in town for the weekend. I love me a good bar with music and games for outside. This is one of the nicer dive bars in the area. They had a band setting up but I left before hearing them. Bought me a beer glass and a couple of their canned beer for the hotel. Staff was quick, and fast. No time for chit chat, for this staff. They hustle and bustle over here. Busy bar. Thanks

    Beer battered fish tacos, delicious

Stopped in for the beer-battered fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious! The place was pretty busy, but that just added to the fun atmosphere. It has more of a lively sports bar vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Great energy, good food, and a fun crowd. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back!

We popped in here for lunch and saw they had a special on tacos for Taco Tuesday! The man working was so patient, kind and helpful! We decided to try the mango cider and it was good! We also got chips and salsa and they were good! We decided to order some more because we had a party of four. They offer street style tacos for their Taco Tuesday! So I decided to go with carnitas and my husband got the grilled fish. Both tacos were delicious!! The place is very spacious with all kinds of tables! This place is definitely good for large crowds and they have a private parking lot! I saw that evening they had trivia on Tuesdays. We really enjoyed our experience here!

After hearing about this place on Yelp, we decided to come and give it a shot. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. You order the food first at the register; they provide you with a number to place at the table, which is not useful. The lady who brought our food went around the place before she found us. Not hard, not even for a waitress. We ordered a sampler of four small 4-ounce samplers. Beer was good service was a lot to be improved on, when you have Constant customers who are not from the area service lacks. Food was not bad a little overpriced for the quantity we got. Would skip this place next time and eat at one of the other ones nearby.

    Salmon salad is very good

Laguna Beer Company deserves full credit for my discovery of non-alcoholic beers. Seriously, so good and refreshing without the guilt. We stopped by a couple of times over the weekend and loved the vibe. Super relaxed, welcoming crowd, and very dog-friendly. We saw so many adorable pups. And that salmon salad? Holy smokes. Fresh, flavorful, and way better than you'd expect from a brewery menu. The pizza was excellent too. Overall, just a great spot to hang, grab a drink (or a guilt-free one), and soak up the Laguna energy. Definitely coming back.

What a cool little brewery in Laguna Canyon. The brewery is located close to Saw Dust and the Pageant of the Masters. The brewery itself is pretty big. There is plenty of seating inside and outside in the patio. Depending on the day, you may come across live music or game night. The day we visited, they had two bands playing music, and a guy who walked up and sang a song about his wife/girlfriend. He surprised us because out of nowhere this man started rapping and it got a bit raunchy. Funny though, because he was an older gentleman and his lover got a tad embarrassed. Def got the party started. As for the service, the girls taking our orders at the register were pretty friendly and were fast. Definitely great service, indeed. As for the food and beer, everything was amazing. We ordered a marguerite pizza and it was delicious. A bit hot, but so much flavor that I wanted more once we were done. The beer was also great and refreshing. I tried the Tuava Guava and it was delicious. It was fruity but not overpowering. I ended getting a second glass since I really liked it. Overall, great brewery and great service. Def recommend stopping here after a hike, a beach day, or just to hang out. You will have a great time!

    No carbonation

I have been here multiple times and here are the two negatives. 1. The light beers lacks carbonation 2. They don't clear the tables consistently. They clear the glasses but seems like they don't care to pick up the plates. 3. Food service is slow Check out the pics

Celebrated and hosted a 40th birthday here and it was perfect. Food was timed perfectly. For starters, we had the pretzel bites with beer cheese & the salad. Everything tasted fresh, warm, & amazing. The flatbread pizza were made in small batches so we never had cold pizza sitting out. They also had panini sandwiches & refilled as necessary. Cash bar for our guests with tons of options for locally brewed beer & even a fun soda flavor. Ample seating for all our guests. Loved the al fresco vibes. Parking could be a little tough in the summer months since it shares the same lot as Sawdust festival. But overall great service & would definitely host here again or just come to hang.

Pleasantly surprised by my visit to Laguna Beer Company. We've passed by so many times but finally decided to grab a beer and some lunch. I'm glad we did! It was a sunny day - perfect for sitting out on the patio. The beer was good. My husband and I each took a bite of our food and thought exactly the same thing - the food was better than it had to be (for a brewery). I got a salmon and a calamari taco. I was worried the calamari would be rubbery but it was cooked perfectly. My husband's Greek Out! pizza was tasty, with lots of artichoke hearts, olives and feta. Would definitely come back on our next Laguna Beach trip!

Really cool place with good vibes. Pizza was good and i enjoyed the local IPA's. The person who took our order was very nice but the other attendants lacked customer service. They were not rude but were not attentive. We walked from the beach to the restaurant and it was very nice. Highly recommend to burn off some of the Pizza and Beer

    Birria tacos!!
    Karlie K.

Laguna Beer Co is that spot I always end up at and for good reason. The vibes are always on point. Great music, fun events, good people, awesome food, and seriously delicious beer. It's impossible not to have a bad time here. The staff is the sweetest and always so engaging. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in, and the service is consistently great it really adds to the whole experience. Now for the food: the tacos are my absolute go-to. The blackened mahi mahi and the Birria tacos? Unreal. They hit every single time. Pair them with a cold beer and you're golden. If you're looking for a local spot that nails the atmosphere, the service, the food, and the beer lineup, this is it. 100% recommend.

Always passed by this place for years but never stopped by until recently and I'm glad I did. Parking was easy, service was great and the food was amazing. Such a variety of foods on the menu and they're also very dog friendly. Great place to go after a nice beach day.

Ask the Community - Laguna Beer Company

Will the mushroom flatbread/pizza come back on the menu this summer?

It very well could. We are going to be reviewing our menu with our new kitchen manager in the next couple weeks and changes will be coming. I will definitely keep that in mind.

    Are children allowed?

Yes there were families with young toddlers when I visited.

Are dogs allowed in outside dining?

Absolutely! We love our furry friends!

Do you guys show football games with sound? I'm a SF Niners fan and looking for a spot to watch the games. Thanks!

Hello! We do have games on and we’d be happy to turn the 49ers sound on for you tomorrow. Hope to see you soon.

I was also on the open table waitlist, which literally pinged me the minute we paid our tab (about 2 hours). The bar staff is great and keeps things moving. Great martinis, and overall we enjoyed our food (blackened fish sandwich with fries and the bistro plate) and the energetic vibe. Not 5 stars because I ordered the filet medium rare and it came well-done, and the French onion soup was lukewarm with a slice of unmelted cheese floating on top. Also the floor was oddly slippery, and it was actually comical watching people a few drinks deep trying to navigate to the bathroom without falling. This is in a main tourist drag so my expectations were managed, and I'd still come back for drinks when I'm in the area. It's only a 10 min walk from Pageant of the Masters, though valet parking (down the street at their sister restaurant South of Nicks) closes around 10:30pm so plan accordingly.

We had never heard of Lumberyard before, but the menu seemed to have balanced selection of land and sea offerings. So this was perfect for both of us. Lumberyard is located in a walkable section of Laguna Beach, in the heart of all of the action. The ocean/beach is a quick walk from the front door, so this is the perfect location for dinner and an evening stroll. Parking is challenging as you have the option of parking in the lot across the street or in the structure down the road. Traffic is also quite heavy as Laguna Canyon is a road that is heavily traveled. Lumberyard is a restaurant that offers an intimate dining experience with more of a laid back vibe. It's kind of dark inside as they keep the lights dimmed. The bar is front and center and takes up a good portion of the restaurant. There's a small section toward the front, just behind the hostess where live bands play a small set for guests. The menu has a nice selection of items that appealed to both of us. I am an incredibly picky eater, often focusing on vegetarian dishes or seafood. I ended up ordering the Parmesan crusted sole with mashed potatoes and lemon butter with a Shirley Temple. My husband ordered chicken pot pie and a creamsicle mocktail. I liked the presentation of the whole meal. My Shirley Temple had little heart candies floating atop of it. So cute! As for our meals, I can say that this was well worth the price. I took a bite of the pie crust on my husband's chicken pot pie and it tasted homemade. It was delicious! My sole was pretty tasty! The lemon butter was super creamy and it added more flavor to an already tasty piece of fish. The potatoes were light and fluffy! The meal was delicious! Our experience at Lumberyard was great. People from all walks of life were there that evening. Some people were dressed in jeans with sneakers while others were dressed to impress. The staff were very professional and our waiter was attentive. Our experience at Lumberyard was quite nice and we would definitely return for another date night in the near future.

When we inquired about happy hour specials, we were abruptly told no in a dismissive manner. When we raised concerns about the poor treatment, the person claiming to be the manager--a man in his late 20s--was incredibly rude and confrontational, aggressively asking if we wanted service or not rather than addressing the issue professionally.
