I'm a little disappointed with myself that I was not aware of this shop in all this time I've resided in Tacoma. They have a neat interesting variety of toys and video games. This review is going to focus on my interaction with Alex and Alex from a seller's standpoint. I have a fair amount of collectibles and there were a couple action figures I was looking to (reluctantly) unload (a 1983 Inspector Gadget doll and a NECA Ada Wong to be exact). I had looked online and consulted various other stores in the area and the few offers I had received were far from fair. I'm happy to report that Alex and Andy knew the market and what my items were going for online. We even looked them up together. We had some obligatory endearing haggling and in the end they offered me a fair price for my beloved items. They were the only store that I had spoken with in the local area that were not only fair in their evaluation but even in the same league as the market value. They even appreciated the items as much as I did so I knew they would end up in a good home. Again, I only wished I knew about them sooner. I will definitely keep them in mind for the future when I inevitably decide to sell some cherished childhood treasures. Cheers, guys.

I didn't know what to expect but was super surprised by how much cool stuff the store had! I was looking for a gameboy game but ended up finding about 10 things I wanted to buy on my next visit. They had tons of old toys that I used to have or have been wanting to get from pretty niche series like Monsieur Bome, Masamune Shirow figures, and even my old favorite army vehicles from Mega Force. The owner was playing Pokemon on the big screen when I walked in but was super helpful and friendly. I am definitely a fan of this place and will stop by any chance I can get when I'm down in the area.

We're glad we stopped by and definitely check them out more often whenever we're in the area. They also have a pretty packed calendar so always something to do or check out.

The quality control absolutely sucks here, I've purchased 2 items now this week where they were defective/didn't work. Now I understand buying pre owned you are more at risk for defects or damage. HOWEVER, I shouldn't be paying $40+ for a used PS4 controller with dirt and Cheeto marks on the outer shell. Takes 2 seconds to wipe that off for a paying customer. Secondly, I get home after purchasing this controller. Plug it in and it's drifting like crazy, just scrolls and scrolls and scrolls. It's like the staff team just accepted it from the previous owner and threw it on a shelf for the next lucky person to deal with it. A few days prior I bought a PS1 game from this store, excitedly got home to turn on my console and fire the game up to find out the game was damaged beyond repair. It would boot to the loading screen and that's it. Now, I know I should've checked this prior to leaving so I'll take that loss. BUT, they should be aware of what they are selling to the paying patrons of the store. I should not have to double check/do their work for them. I should be rest assured I'm getting quality used items/games from this store. If you own this company or you work for this company, please do us all a favor and pay more attention to the quality control of your items. If this happens to me again I'll be forced to stop supporting your business. These are incredibly easy things to fix. I shouldn't be going out of my way to consistently bring back defective items. It takes a few minutes to assure these items are working when put out on a shelve for a premium cost such as the $49 used PS4 controller. If this gets acknowledged I will adjust the current rating. The checkout experience was smooth, though the space is a bit tight and there aren't many cashiers, so I could see it getting crowded during busy times. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the buyback program. I brought in 12 books that were new or in like-new condition (no damage, no markings and some hadn't even been read) and was offered just $0.50 per book, totaling $7 for all 12. This included three complete series and several standalone titles. Out of curiosity, I checked their shelves and saw some of the same books priced between $8-$15 each. Overall, it's a great place to shop for books, but I wouldn't recommend selling here if you're hoping to get fair value especially if your books are in excellent condition.

I really like this board game and hobby shop but don't go into it too terribly often. Much of the…read moremerchandise has a fantasy slant to it so if that is a genre you love then you will have a good time in this store for sure! They also have stuffed animals that caught my eye and they had a few different dragon ones...the black one I love the most here. You can tell you are walking past this store by simply looking for the cloaked mannequin figure of elven looking origin with long white hair and holding a sword by the window. Sometimes when the Christmas holiday rolls around the mannequin is wearing a Santa hat. This shop was located and tucked away by the revolving sushi restaurant and across from Spencer's however it has since relocated and is in the main corridor now as you walk through the mall. So hopefully that will generate some more foot traffic for this shop. Anyway, it's cool shop and for me personally I'm into it due to those stuffed animal dragons...I had to get one actually because I love dragons and those little guys were so cute.
