I've seen Jessica help other customer find accessories or troubleshoot an issue. Jessica has a warm attitude and makes the store feel welcoming, even when things are busy. In fact, it's the combination of dedicated staff like Dom and Jessica that keeps me trusting this store so much. One moment stands out to me as a perfect example of their great service. After I made my purchase and left the store, I realized they had accidentally made a mistake on my order. I didn't notice it right away, but they caught the error shortly after I had left. Instead of waiting for me to find out later, Dom and Jessica immediately took action. They realized what had happened and called me back to tell me about the mistake. I dont got to gamestop often but I came in here for a quick look while I waited for my food to be done next door. To the point theres a kid in there doesn't know what personal space is. I was just minding my own business and he kept trying to talk to me about his favorite games and card games. I wasn't trying to be mean and just say thanks but he kept going. I work alot and dont have time to play video games like these guys do so I haven't finished alot of my games but he kept going on about games that he actually spoiled the ending for the zelda I'm currently playing at my pace. I told him he had spoiled it for me now and he did apologize but he kept going and talking about it! I had to walk out because he was getting on my nerves. I wouldn't come to this store if you see a short scrawny kid there. I'm pretty sure he thinks hes the one in charge but doesn't look the part. On another note I even saw him at Plaza Bonita working the other day. I had to walk out after I spotted him because I just didn't want to deal with him again. The girl there was nice though. The employee on shift that's been in store for long hours is very kind. It was great to hear his story about working at GameStop and closing then opening shifts. I had a great experience shopping. The employee offered me GameStop pro membership for $25 with amazing savings all year long. I wish I had it before definitely would have saved 30-40% off on my purchase over $200. I found amazing sales and great limited edition and exclusive items. I got lucky I didn't have to wait in a long line or be in a crowded store. I enjoy my shopping experience and the staff amazing spirit to help me out with items since they don't offer baskets for shoppers. This store sells many consoles even PS5. Overall a positive experience highly recommend a visit. Not to mention there is plenty of parking available for free. read more

We had a joy-con drift issue with our Super Mario Bros. Running Mario wireless pro controller that was purchased 14 months ago at a Buena Park, CA location with a 2 year PRP warranty. Went into this GameStop to get a replacement since we had purchased the product replacement policy for it. The store was busy at the time only saw one employee there, but he acknowledged us, and mentioned he would help us as soon as he could. That was not a problem for us, since we were not in a rush and just wanted to resolve the issue of the controller warranty [had gone to another GameStop earlier that said they could only give us a refurbished controller for it (we had to surrender the original charging cable with it, and would get no usb charging cable in return) all because GameStop had changed their new warranty policies, the other store didn't even look into the policy we purchased]. When it came to be our turn we gave the employee the original purchase receipt and the warranty sticker that they gave us with the original controller box. He explained that GameStop did not have that pro controller anymore, but they could offer us a new wireless pro controller as long at it was the same price range that we paid. We ended up getting a different pro controller (same price that we originally paid) and we bypassed the warranty this time (because of the new warranty changes). We paid nothing for the new controller. This was covered by the original 2 year PRP warranty that was purchased 14 months ago. We left very satisfied with the level of customer service that was provided by Dominque. He was very knowledgeable in GameStop's policies, and it definitely showed. read more

He has helped me out and consistently gone above and beyond with every question or request I've had since our first interaction. The rest of the staff here is also amazing when it comes to making suggestions or answering questions. GameStop is THE spot for all of your gaming needs. These days a lot of us tend to do most of our shopping online but GameStops are king of brick and mortar establishments. Won't be coming back here anytime soon. Tried selling a PS4 but got rejected because supposedly there were "bugs" inside the system after banging my console on the countertop trying to clean. Double checked and the console was spotless and absolutely nothing came out. Had no problems selling it to the Gamestop in Broadway a few miles away. Clerk wasn't polite and looked annoyed just trying to help me. Dude even forgot to give back my driver's license before I left the store. read more

Is it me or does all Game Stop stores always look like a comic con convention. Nerd city! But that's ok,I'd rather deal w/them than screaming yelling 'a you' like I'm some type of prostitue or something. The games are a little pricey,but they will have any & every game your looking for. If not,they can always order it. If it's a new game coming out guarantee they'll have it & the sales reps are pretty knowledgeable also. Been waiting for 4 hours for my Pre Ordered game . I have mu final receipt and they have me waiting outside when they let others in the store to start making line. When they decide to let us in @ 8 pm they make 3 different lines 1) Xbox 2) customers buying other things and dont have final receipt & 3) ps4. They Do Not Know how to manage their store it is now 8:52 and they supposably close @ 9pm and all theyre doing is helping out those who dont have their final receipt , btw they have 4 people working and only 1 of them is charging . read more

This GameStop gives out the wrong information about pre orders. The cashier said I won't be able to play my game at 9pm if I preorder on the PlayStation store which is totally wrong. Then tells me I can't trade in my player ion move controllers. Which you actually can. I'm never going to gamestop again. The guy was an ass too. read more

I love gamestop because I can't afford new things :( Even though gamestop is pricey, well I think only the games are really pricey. You can't really trust buying old or older electronics from people , ebay or craigslist. I want the older version psp 3000 and nintendo ds lite and stores don't sell them but gamestop does. Plus there's a gamestop every three- five miles. So I am a gamestop shopper. Plus there always so helpful when you call or go. They almost know everything. I have never had a problem at this Gamestop, the few times I have been there. I have always been asked if I needed help. They have no problem giving their personal opinions on games. On one occasion they helped me find a game at another location they didn't have at that store. Overall a great store. read more

Went to reserve a game, I was told by the employee that they would be giving out food and snacks to people picking up their pre-orders of blackops. Since they usually give items when picking up pre-orders either patches of the games posters etc. I pick my stores based on what they give at pre-orders so I thought I might get a poster or something. Long so try short went to pick up my game they didn't give out anything. Not a poster not a wristband. Never pre-ordering here again. The store on Broadway usually has things they give when you go pick your game up ,PREORDER there not at this location or why not target as they give you 5 dollar gift cards with your game preorders. Also they never call you to pickup your pre-orders, had several pre-orders of pop vinyls and they did not call me I went to pick them up a week later they did not reserve them for me but they did go "hey employee such and such put one on hold " so they had to give me theirs. Just bad customer service all around when it comes to pre-orders. It's either just this gamestop or all of them are not good anymore. read more

Okay I'm confused. Wanted to buy a game. Asked the clerk for a price because there was no price on it. Clerk was acting like a dick. Was about to tell him he needs to improve his customer service. He explained that the reason the price is not on the front is because it would ruin the label of the game cart. He looked up the price (while obviously looking pissed or something). Gave me a price for each of the two preowned SNES games. Thought about it. Decided to go through it. Paid for it. Once in my car looked at what I bought and noticed prices marked in the back of the two cartridges showing lower than what I paid. Went back into the store and the guy said that he was not going to honor the prices that were marked on the carts because those prices were no being displayed face forward in the display case. But I asked him isn't the reason why they don't put the price in the front is because they didn't want to ruin the label of the game cart. But he started to say this is CA law and that it needs to be displayed face forward. And basically the only way they would have honored the price is if I asked to looked at the game carts physically before paying. Getting agitated and not wanting to waste my time with this POS, I requested for a refund. Worse experience ever and now I fully understand why a lot of people are saying that gamestop is a fraud. mike w., you're obviously an angry person. yes, gamestop is a huge corporation, and yes, i happen to be friends w/ the staff, but just because a store has to be run a certain way, doesn't mean they don't deserve any recognition. there are in fact those things that have to be said (i.e. warranty on games, reserves, etc.) but they HAVE to ask those things. it's part of their job. i'm sure there are things you have to do in your own job that you rather wish you didn't have to do, but are forced to b/c that is what the job requires. do you really think it's fun for them to have to bombard a customer w/ that string of questions? no, it's simply part of the job that the company demands. now, as far as people should just go to walmart..well, you obviously have spent enough time shopping at this particular gamestop because you seem to think you know every little thing about the staff and how the store is run. clearly you never took the time to get to know the staff and see how great they are. lex has personally gone out of his way to go to another store (on his own time, no less) to get a game i had been looking for for ages. and this was a game that would not have been available at walmart or any other store, so suck it. so, my dear mike w., you need to just cool it on the insults about things you don't understand. unless you really know what you're talking about and you really understand a situation on all sides, you ought to keep your mouth shut. if you prefer walmart, i strongly suggest you stay there. no one wants to deal w/ a person like you anyway. read more
