    Al pastor burrito

I had the chicken Al pastor burrito. The meat was so good, the toppings plentiful (and get the pickled onions!), and the portion generous. It wasn't cheap but it was fairly priced. There wasn't an obvious menu so it was kind of confusing ordering but I just picked something off a different yelp review. I'd add that the beans weren't anything special but I really don't care because the meat knocked my socks out and the rice was very good too

My late night go to spot!! Their tacos de asada hit every single time! The aguas are tasty and the salsas have good flavor and spice. There's usually a line but so worth it. Support local!

This taco truck absolutely slaps, and is my favorite place to eat on the west side. Come anytime between about 3pm to midnight. You can pick between tacos, burritos, quesadillas and they make it all right in front of you. If there is a long line don't let it deter you. The crew is out there everyday, and are the hardest working, most consistent staff I've ever seen. 5 out of 5 stars earns time and time again!

4++ the popular taco stand that's located right outside the Whole Foods on Lincoln. I honestly can't remember if I actually had their tacos before, but I've seen it plenty of times when driving in the area. The folks are friendly and very efficient. They have to be since they get a pretty good amount of volume here. The vibe is pretty frenetic cause it's a very popular spot. I ordered three tacos here and I love that you are able to do the toppings and salsa yourself. Definitely reasonably priced, delicious tacos here. A great spot in the area and with easy to find parking. This is super helpful especially since it's in a busy area.

You can tell how good a taco stand is by the size of their Al pastor block and the line in front of the stand. This one both are massive. I'm not sure if it's because of Whole Foods foot traffic or the food taste but, the taste is a winner. They got the los of condiments too, salsas, onion, and cilantro. The Al pastor and asada is my favorite. They grill the asada right there in the street. Big winner in my book.

Believe the hype here!! Tacos La Guerra is a sidewalk staple on Lincoln Road in front of Whole Foods. The line is long but the flavors and amazing aromas keep you company while you wait. The line moved very fast, the employees clearly knew how to bang out quality and quantity! You get to watch the chef slicing and preparing the Al Pastor tacos right in front of you as you walk by. Each taco is $2.50 and they accept cash and credit card. You can build your own tacos after paying with spicy salsa, tomatillo salsa, spicy pickled radish, limes, and spicy vegetables! These were probably the best tacos I've ever had in my life! Thanks for the recommendation @how.kev.eats!

The tacos here are outstanding, and (as street tacos should be) they're surprisingly cheap. My wife and I got 7 tacos for less than $20. In a world where restaurants are increasingly trying to price gouge people on tacos (charging $4-$5/taco for street tacos), it was nice to get some of the best street tacos I've eaten for half of what some of my local places charge.

Trash can blocking employee, why not put it behind the fence where it's not blocking?

TOUCHED TRASHCAN while making food. Food preparer making my burrito repeatedly held and moved trashcan with hands as he was handling my food. Moved trash can, grabbed raw onions. Adjusted trash can, grabbed cilantro. Moved trash can, folded my burrito. After he prepared my burrito, he dug his hands into the bins of onions, cilantro, and rice to mix them up. In the photo, you can see the trash can is blocking his path to other parts of the stand. I think he was using it as a shelf? There's even a hand towel he placed there to wipe his hands occasionally. Why not put the trash can behind the fence where there is room so it does not block you? Line was long I didn't want to make a deal about it since I love the food and support this establishment. I hate to do this to a local joint that is one of my favorites where I frequent on occasion twice in a week. I'm hoping this message reaches the owners of this taco stand so they can fix it.

Homie showed me this place for Grad week 2025 day 3 last week and he's a visitor from Chicago! and in the Local one here in LA!! Anyways, the line was super long that night but worth the wait. I had to try their staple first which was the Al pastor Tacos. I got 4 of them and had to try them plain first. Omg the meat was so delicious and juicy coming off the grill! The slices were very great! 4 tacos had a ton of meat!! The salsas even made the tacos very exceptional! My favorite was the creamy chipotle. I was full after the meal. I definitely have to come back and try the other taco meats even a burrito or Torta! Lastly the ambience was a vibe near Santa Monica. What else can you want!!

One of the best taco stands in LA. They have delicious tacos and burritos that are packed with flavor, ingredients and spicy sauces. The entire assembly is cooked right in front of you and the toppings are fresh and authentic to mexican cuisine. I highly recommend the burrito with Al Pastor. Line can get long, but always moves quickly. They also accept credit!

I loved the grilled onions, serranos, hot sauce, and especially the curtido de habanero,so good. The carne asada was okay slightly on the tougher side but the chorizo and al pastor were really solid. Taco prices are fair, but the aguas frescas felt a bit on the expensive side. Overall, I'd definitely come back again.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time. Overall, I thought the portion sizes were good for the prices and I felt full afterwards.
