    Steamed Chicken Burrito, no rice

So excited to have this new spot in the neighborhood! Tried 2 of the burritos for our first visit today, Steamed Chicken and Tasajo. All the ingredients tasted fresh and light, and didn't make us feel nearly as heavy as having a burrito for lunch normally would. Took our food to go but inside was really clean and would totally dine in another time. Looking forward to trying some more menu items!

Delicious food, great sevice, wonderful people working. Very clean and the atmosphere was nice and very comfortable to have lunch or dinner with affordable prices to feed the family.

Menu and counter to take our orders. Everything is bright and welcoming.

We came back for a second time. Still great food and good ambiance. The food is very fresh and the service is great. Everyone is very nice.

LISTEN: run, don't walk, to this location. Actually, take an uber cause it's not by any of the hotels lol. Tacos San Miguel is a taco truck with a neat setup. They have the menu displayed (and it's huge, so no trouble reading it), and everything is in English AND Spanish. The server is super happy to help you with your order, and they are cash only so come prepared. The tacos are cheap as hell, but filling and absolutely delicious. Plus you get to sit at communal tables and have conversations while you watch your food being prepared. They have various sauces to choose from, but the spicy green sauce is where it's at. Can't wait to be back, and glad I stumbled upon them!

The name seems fitting enough. Let me explain. I'm of the opinion that food in Venice Beach…read moregenerally sucks. And sometimes you just want tacos. Please. Tacos, por favor. Every restaurant in Venice is grimy, tourist-ridden, overpriced, vegan or just plain average. You can drive 10 minutes inland and find better. Your wallet will thank you. Your taste buds will thank you. Tacos por favor is pretty much the take-out Mexican spot you grew up going to (often out of convenience). It's Thursday night and Mom doesn't feel like cooking. Or it's lunch, and you and your broke high school friends have each scraped together $5 change for a burrito. These types of restaurants always exist better in our memories, they make us sentimental, they remind us of a simpler time when all that mattered was who had the latest video game, or who's house you could chill at, or wether you had a bike or skateboard to get around town. A few years later topics shifted to booze or weed, and eventually: chicks. All throughout, some things never change, and that's a preferred taco spot, which you cling to the way you would a favorite sports team, a religion or treasured family heirloom. There's another taco spot across town that may be better, but you would never admit that to anyone, not even yourself. As we age, these types of affiliations become a thing of the past. We move to new cities, and with that, the chance to re-invent ourselves. We try different foods. A $20 chicken combo plate from Erewhon? A salad pizza from Abott's Pizza? A late-night chicken Gyro? Like a tortilla chip left out in the sun, the novelty of new foods grows stale, albeit still salty. We crave comfort, we crave what we know, we crave the foods that remind us of home. Sometimes, we feel lost. Los Angeles beats us down, leaving us wandering the boardwalk like bitter, weakened versions of our former selves. Everyone in Venice seems to have a cure. Have you tried an astrology reading? Hot-boxing your house with sage? Palm readings? Weekend yoga retreats? Raw water? Adaptogen-infused smoothies? If you have half a brain and a penchant for seasoned meats, head on over to Tacos Por Favor.

There was less than a fourth of a cup or less of extremely cold chicken, like it had just come out of the fridge. They hid the tiny portion of chicken under the guacamole to disguise how little of a serving they had put in. Inedible and tossed for quality concerns. The Carnitas taquitos plate was almost worse. It wasn't even a third full of meat for either taquito, and the meat in both taquitos was torched and burnt. It tasted burnt and stale and barely edible. I'm very disappointed with both items, considering the cost and the reviews. I'm extremely unsatisfied and unhappy. Only plus, it came delivered super quickly.

When we arrive at the restaurant we notice people waiting outside the restaurant waiting for a table or meeting other people to get together at the restaurant. Finding parking in this tight Venice community can be frustrating due the neighborhood and also businesses in surrounding area. When we got to the restaurant we seen there's a line to get a table hostess say it's about an hour but she we sit by the patio with the great view of the street and everyday life. Sitting at the patio was very nice with the crowd noise from inside the restaurant. The waitess hand us the menu and look at it see what fuzzy about this restaurant. We look around and smelling the amora of the food that people enjoying it. We looking at the menu my wife cousin decided to order the Barbacao tacos with Borracho black beans and my wife order the chicken tings quesadilla and I got the cheese quesadilla. We notice everybody is having a good time with family and friends enjoy the food. Our food arrived it looks so good I took a bite of the chees quesadilla I was very impressive with the level of flavors in quesadilla the sauce is amazing full of flavor is classic technique to make the sauce go along with quesadilla. The queso Oaxaca add it more intense, savory to the dish I love. My wife fell love with chicken tinga quesadilla say flavors brought harmony to the dish very much. Her cousin enjoy her Barbacao tacos but her Borracho black beans were to salty but enjoy the meal. We order the pumpkin spice churro it's vegan/gluten-free dessert we're surprise how good was it so much flavor. The churro were light and crispy sprinkles with cinnamon sugar comes salted coconut coffee sauce very good we enjoyed the dessert. We like thank our waitress and the staff being friendly and kind. THANK YOU.

Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. After getting settled, I was questioned about my service dog simply for trying to use the restroom, and after reluctantly having to explain and describe the service she provides, the interaction turned mocking and dismissive. As someone who has lived in this community for over twenty years, it's disheartening that people with service animals still have to endure this kind of treatment and judgment. To make matters worse, the restaurant was nearly empty, the food was mediocre at best, and the overall experience felt far more like a TSA screening than hospitality. I'll gladly stick to Lula's on Main for similar quality food without the judgment, interrogation, or embarrassment.

The fried fish tacos were perfectly battered and fried, I liked the onions on top as it helps cut through the friedness of it all. Yucca fries were delish, dip it in the green sauce and it's perfection. The ceviche was fresh and bright. Love the citrusy sauce at the bottom, yum! The corn is not like the regular corn we have at the grocery store. It has a bit more bite to it in terms of texture like it's not soft. Passion fruit juice was absolutely needed after all day on the beach. The cake has swirls of dulce de leche, very tasty. I would come back just for the lomo saltado alone! Service was friendly and fast. They have a few tables inside and a few outside. Right on the Venice boardwalk so if you dine outside, you also get a show with your meal.
