Restaurant interior is lovely. Meal was good. They forgot one of our dishes and tried to cover it up... We let it slide. Parking is tight so arrive early and plan accordingly.

I've heard a lot about this place and how it's one of the more authentic Korean places. I absolutely love their bossam and seolleongtang. I wish I was more hungry, so I could enjoy and eat more of it. Service was fast, and the vibes are very clean and open.

everything was good! we went pretty late so it was quiet and slow which was nice. love the kimchi and soup here!

Their seafood pancake is solid. It is home made with mixed seafood that you can see and taste. Its better than some places that put a lot of flour and not much seafood. Their soup - Seollong tang was a good beef broth for this cold weather. It comes with a very small amount of sliced beef and even smaller amount of noodles which I'm ok with since I'm here for the broth. It usually comes with rice inside the soup but I asked for it on the side. I wanted something simple in ingredients and this is just right. If you want more flavor, you could add the scallions, salt and kimichi with radish in your soup which I did towards the end. The food came out pretty quickly as there weren't too many people for dinner on Friday night just yet however, they never came by to refill our water or check on us. In a way if you wanted to eat with a friend and not be bothered, this works but refilling water would have been better. The inside is clean and quiet for 7:30 on a Friday night.

I don't know what happened to Gammeeok. I recently tried my usuals but it disappointed me and accompanies twice. Something wrong with the Kimchi, which used to be great, and Dogani Tang and Seolleong Tang were bad. Meats were not good, and soup wasn't giving any impressions. We left the place without finishing more than the half of the meals. Unfortunately I am giving up with this restaurant. I found empty seats and parking space at one of the busiest hours - Saturday and Friday dinner times. Probably other Yelp reviewers might know what's going on.

Favorite Korean restaurant in NJ for hot soup and LA Galbi. Very clean, calm, nice atmosphere with great service. Highly recommend!

Kind of a bit surprised with all the poor reviews. Came in without any expectations and they definitely exceeded my expectations. To start off they only give 1 Banchan of kimchi and radish. Kimchi was super fresh and sour but didn't love the radish that gave a bit of an after taste. We also got their galbi tang which tasted very light, great comfort soup and gave a good amount of beef bone. Wished there was a little more glass noodle though The boryang kori tang was sweet and light and was also very generous with the ox tail Love that it's 24/7 now. Will certainly be back if I need a good hangover / comfort soup

TLDR: Solid spot for Korean soups. Don't understand the reviews. Came for a quick family dinner and everything was enjoyable. I too and stumped by the negative reviews. Ample parking, clean restaurant, nice layout, very comfortable - a wide range of excellent Korean soups. I don't see what the problem is. Everyone's dish was good. The pancake was nice and crispy, fluffy in the center. Thin-sliced spicy pork belly was delightful. I had sips of everyone's broth but I thoroughly enjoyed my yukkaejang. Spicy, beefy, so hot and just wonderfully satisfying. Especially for the brisk night that it was. If you're craving something heartwarming and comforting, Gameeok is perfect.

I have no idea why this place has such bad reviews. My bf and I love coming here. The soup is soul soothingly hearty, the kimchi is always bomb and the service is great. This is our go to spot on a cold night.

Average tasting food at this restaurant. There appears to be a solid amount of patrons both eat in and take out. Was in town for a meeting so was short on time. They appear to be understaffed because at one point, the owner came from behind the register counter to help take orders from patrons seated waiting to have their food orders taken. We ordered 5 bibimbaps and 2 soups. The taste reviews was it was ok but not bad. The one thing that everyone did like a lot was the kimchi (reason for the 3rd star). Perhaps the lunch rush put pressure for the kitchen. To that point, the kitchen did a very good job getting food out in a fast pace.

Absolutely amazing. Dont let the low ratings fool you!!! Dont sleep on this! This! This is the authentic place. The low ratings r probably from the rice bowls. Dont get the rice bowls! Get. The. Soup. This is my snowy winter I need my hot soup go to place. Everything is so clean- from the layout to the general environment of the restaurant. I absolutely love coming here and so does my husband. Plenty of parking in the lot. Otherwise there's street parking. There's a sink with soap outside the bathrooms as well as inside. I thought that was handy. Gomtang deluxe 5/5 it's got the meat, the noodles and the clean soup. Scallions and salt are on the side. Boiled pork and scallions 5/5 soooo cool with the soybean paste. Wrap the pork in the cabbage with jalapeño! There's so many other things on the menu - usually I get the dogani tang - you dip the white pieces in soysauce. Can't wait to try the spicy dogani dish next time!

I don't know why it took so long for me to come here, but we finally did after spending a night at king sauna while I was working nights. I really like that it's open 24/7. The seolleongtang was pretty good and they actually give it to you with the rice already mixed in which was interesting. The kimchi here is fire. The seafood pancake was kind of sad with not enough seafood or crispiness, but not the worst I've had. Wish there were more late night options in the area like this!

    Vi T.

The service was good! Everyone is polite and food came out moderately fast. The restaurant looks clean and has a cool aesthetic like a traditional Korean house. However, the food was quite expensive. Considering the portion wasn't huge and the taste wasn't that impressively different from other spots. There were also no side dishes except for kimchi.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup.
