    Menu (March 2023) (Cheese $23.95)

Stir-fried spicy chicken (Dakgalbi) on a hit iron pan to share. We usually order medium spiciness, cheese dakgalbi with fried seaweed rolls and noodle selection (whether flat glass noodle or udon). It comes with fried sweet potato and rice cakes. Price is very moderate : $24 per person, and a pan of 2 people and fried rice after is more than enough for 3 people. It is BYOB, and not too loud music, spacious between tables, so it is a great location for large group gathering. The only downside is that there is always ONE person for the whole hall, and it can be frustrating to get the attention even with the "bell" at each table.

The chicken dish was ok. There were like 4 tables, but the lady said they were too busy to make us fried rice on it. Gave us 1 bowl of rice and told us to do it ourselves, which we didn't mind, but wth? Lol

The best dak gakbi in the area! Chicken is cooked well, the spice level is appropriate to what is ordered, and I love the fried rice option at the end! Service is lovely, the owners and workers are so sweet, and the restaurant is clean.

Spacious, clean, with an interesting menu! We ordered the medium spice level with kimchi and cheese. One pan was enough to feed three. The fried chicken was ok. The fried rice went well with the kimchi and cheese. We asked for a refill of water like 5 times. We weren't dying from spice, the bottle just gave so little. And our waiter wasn't attentive to us. But I'd come back to try some others on the menu though

We waited 30mins to be seated which we didnt mind waiting.. but it took 50mins for cheese dakgalbi and 1hr to get pork katsu which is not acceptable at all. The restaurant was not even busy, they had 4 waitresses on site, I was and am still legit confused what took so long. Food was only okay 1/5, do not order fried rice after dakgalbi because we were really unsure if they tried to make porridge or fried rice... not sure why they take the whole plate to make fried rice in the kitchen and once again, made customers wait another 15mins for underwhelmed fried rice lol extremely slow service 1/5. I can't recommend this restaurant.

Good Dakgalbi place in NJ. I first tried this place in NYC, and I was disappointed. However, NJ place is better than NYC. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The service is also great. I ordered Cheese Dakgalbi with ramen noodle. The portion was perfect for 2-3 ppl, and spiciness was perfect. After the Dakgalbi, you can also get fried rice on a iron pan.

When we came here, it was just us that were there so it was empty and wuiet but music in the background that wasnt too loud. We chose the regular dak-galbi and it was a huge portion for two of us. It tasted so good with cheese and i loved the fried sweet potatoes that came with. Honestly we were kind of worried because it was just us but despite of all that it was so good. There was only one lady serving but she was super sweet because we were so full so we just asked for check but she said we have to try the fried rice and she told us to just try it and she'll give it as complimentary. We couldnt turn down a complimentary fried rice but even we were full, we finished the whole thing! Fried rice is a must here:) When we went, she said they just added new menu that day, dry hot pot and hotpot. So we will definitely go back to try for new menu.

Don't know why this place is so empty all the time. It's actually way better than most places in palisades park. The food is pretty good and can't complain since lots of Korean restaurants in NJ are just subpar. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely give it a try. Finally a place where you can have a normal kimari that also tastes decent. And the fried rice at the end isn't a sad mix of white rice and just left over sauce like how most places do it. They add more ingredients to make it worth the wait.

Oh my gosh! My fiance and I walked away extremely disappointed with this place. I've been craving dakgalbi so my fiance surprised me by taking me here. I haven't had dakgalbi since leaving Korea pre-pandemic so this was my first time having it in US. This was nothing like how dakgalbi is served in Korea. In Korea the meat, vegetables, and tteokbbokki are all brought to your skillet in front of you. So you literally see your food cooking in front of you. Here, everything is done in the back. Food is already cooked in the skillet and just placed on a warmer at your table. Another thing I did not like was how confusing the pricing was in the menu. I told my partner that there was a fine print stating the price we see is only for one portion but we HAVE to buy 2 minimum. We got the cheese dakgalbi which was $24.99 therefore it was $50 after placing our order. Funny thing is one order would have been perfect for us as we were not too hungry. We really enjoyed the food but had lots of leftovers. So we ordered two bowls of rice which was $5 each! Once again it was not cooked in front of us. They took the skillet to the back! Like what?! To compare it to Korea, cooked rice is dropped into your skillet in front of you and they mix it . Not here. When our skillet came back out, we were shocked. Literally all the chicken, cabbage, and tteokbbokki were nowhere to be found. We saw tiny pieces of chicken. But we had lots of chicken bites left when they took the skillet. Where did our leftovers go?! By this time, we were so mad, we got a to-go bowl and left. About $70 spent for a bad dining experience. It was definitely a red flag when we saw the majority of the other tables were eating something different and not the dakgalbi. 2 stars because the food was good and the customer service was also good. We also enjoyed the egg side dishes. But all of this is not enough to recommend this place.

    Kimchi Cheese Dak Gal Bi
    Yeon S.

I was so happy to see this place opening up in NJ! I first tried the other location in NYC pre-covid and it was delicious. This was my first time trying the Kimchi Dak Gal Bi- everything was good in terms of chicken cooking level, the portion and fried sweet potatoes were delicious as well. The only thing I would comment on was the overall flavor. I think the Kimchi itself wasn't as flavorful as it should be. Therefore the overall flavor tasted a bit diluted. Other than that, adding extra rice and cheese is also the best part! I wish they did that last part on the spot rather than taking the pot back into the kitchen. I would go again to try different menu!

Whenever I'm craving something cheesy, I always beg my friends to come here with me. The cheese dakgalbi is consistently amazing every time I visit and the spice level is just right -- not too painful but not too mild. I love how there's fried sweet potato added on top and you can get other add ons if you want for an extra price. Note that you have to get at least two servings, which is enough to feed at least 3-4 people. Make sure you get the fish roe fried rice too (you won't regret it :)) -- my boyfriend and I got it shaped in a heart which was really cute.

Seafood pot was great! Good side dishes of egg, corn, macaroni salad, broccoli all included. Mild is all I could handle. I would probably equate it to medium spicy at other places. Service was good. Get the fried rice afterwards!

Great service and food was good !! Wifey loved it and 2 thumbs up. Will definitely be back again!! Nomnomnomnom

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. I felt like the meat was not as tender as I hoped but still made me think of my favorite Korean restaurant where I grew up. - Kong-guksu - I didn't know what to expect of this dish as I've never heard of it or tried it before but I didn't really like the dish. No matter how much salt/pepper I put in, there still didn't seem to be a lot of flavor. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out.
