I ordered the malai kofta. It was not good. I have eaten at many different Indian restaurants and have never had ones that tasted like this I only ate one but was still charged for it. I told the waitress I did not like it. She offered to make me something else. I said no. The garlic naan and chai tea were good. The service was good but the main course was horrible.

First time customer and enjoyed my visit the entirety we were there! The food was delicious and oh so flavorful, and the staff was very sweet and very helpful. And just the inside is absolutely beautiful itself! So atmospheric and really aesthetically pleasing. Can't wait to return sooner rather than later! (Sorry, was unable to photo my delicious meal due to pure excitement of eating lol)

Food was amazing! I recommend this spot. Everything was fresh and the server was also very attentive.

The lady at the front (BLANCA) was so nice and welcoming! It was my first time coming here, and the hospitality immediately stood out. She helped me pick something that fit my taste perfectly, and even after I sat down to wait, she continued to offer water and kindness. The place itself is very clean with a beautiful atmosphere -- you can tell this location is taken care of with passion and love. I haven't even had the food yet, and I already know this place deserves 5 stars. No wonder everyone recommends this spot!

Ordered DoorDash of Indian food near by and didn't realize until after the fact that it was this place. In hindsight it makes sense, the prices were high and the servings size was small. The food tasted great, but it's definitely not worth it in terms of price to quantity ratio. The small to-go containers were mostly full of the soup and not much meat. I really want to give this place a higher review but the value is just not there for me! Please either lower your price or up your serving portions!

    Great art work. Beautiful ambiance

Love the new ambiance. This place is the best Indian food in town. Won't go anywhere else, super delicious and always on point. Highly recommend

Amazing food with excellent service! The curries were full of flavor, the naan was just right, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants around.

    Chicken tikka and garlic naan

First of all, wow wow wow this place is so yummy! I visited on a Friday night with my family and we each tried a different curry. Each of us loved our own dish the most! I had the chicken tikka masala at the hottest spice level. It was perfectly spiced, not too spicy so that it's still super enjoyable. Plus the garlic naan was so yummy too! Our server was very attentive and got us in and out super fast! Overall, we loved it and will absolutely be back as soon as we can. I really want to try the vegi simosas next time!

Excellent yummy food. Today I tried all veg dishes and everything was super mouthwatering tasty. Blanca the server was a delight and her service was top notch. Tried chillie paneer, Gobi Manchurian, masala fries, naan, veg vindola, malai kofta and Ofcourse taj mahal and old monk beer.

Also, I love how they're doing business out of their house, gives it a real authentic feel. However, I just don't think the taste meets my expectation as someone who eats Punjabi food often. I just ordered chicken tikka fries this time, and honestly I thought there was too much going on with the green and brown chutney on top of the chicken tikka masala. Also the fries were soggy, but this is expected just given how much is thrown on top. Overall, you can't really appreciate the flavors when you just have everything on it. However, as someone who has eaten dozens of different types of chicken tikka masala and butter chicken, this did not taste like it at ALL. However, the food was flavorful, the butter chicken was a little salty, the naan was DELICOUSSSSS. I really felt like I was eating a homemade meal from my aunties kitchen. 100%. So for the food being food.... 9/10, if you're really craving what commonly tastes like chicken tikka masala and butter chicken, I didn't get that from here.

This is top notch. Mind you this is northern Indian and not to be compared with southern I found it since it was close to the military base and I so glad I tried it. I had the bone in goat briyani which was succulent, huge portions and paired with their Raita it was perfectly balanced . I received the kindest welcome and delightful service and help from Nisha, who explained the dishes to me and recommended The Combo for my first visit. Such a great suggestion since I had never dined at an Indian Cuisine restaurant before. Each one of the servings in the combo was incredibly flavorful, delicious and very filling. I loved each and every one of them! I even had leftovers to bring home, which I am already looking forward to enjoying. The garlic naan bread is out of this world! Their Mango Lassi is indescribably delicious and Nisha informed me that the yogurt they use is made fresh in the restaurant. It tasted so clean and amazing. Definitely going to be hooked on that!!! The atmosphere was so nice and peaceful after a long busy and stressful week. Exactly what I needed. No loud music or noise that people had to talk over. Very, very nice and relaxing. Thank you for the atmosphere as well. Nisha also blessed me with a rice pudding to try and I can hardly wait to make it my evening snack. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome on my first visit. I already feel like part of the family with the way Nisha made me feel so valued as more than just a customer......I left there honestly feeling like family. I'll be seeing you all soon and often! Overview: Great deal, food, and service, perfect for a quick dine-in meal or ordering to-go…read more ---- We were driving back to San Diego from Mammoth and was craving Indian Food. We found this place online and decided to fuel our bellies here. Upon entering there are seats on both sides of the restaurant with the serving area and cashier in the middle. We decided to dine-in and they helped us with ordering. I ordered the Dinner Special Thali ($15.99) which comes with 2 entrees, daal, rice, naan, mango lassi, samosa or kheer. I was allowed to choose 3 entrees of my choice from the select options they had in their serving area (not from all the entrees they have on their menu). I like options and variety, so from their limited entrees I chose mushroom saag (spinach based), chicken tikka, and their paneer tikka. I'm glad I got to taste different options but I like the chicken the best. I also chose the kheer and got the mango lassi as my drink. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken ($14.99), basmati rice ($3.99), and the cheese naan which we asked if they can add garlic and they kindly did ($4.99). Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. On the tv's they were playing Indian music and their music videos, which were entertaining to watch. ---- Overall: the price point and tasty food are reasons we'd be stopping by if we're ever in the area again or driving back to SD, definitely check this place out if you want some yummy Indian food in Riverside at a reasonable price!

Tandoori and Naan are cooked in a CLAY TANDOOR OVEN at this location…read more Most entries are served with a complimentary bowl of Basmati rice that is fragrant with spices (cloves can be found). The food feels like a home cook meal and I was told from Northern India province. This was definitely not an Americanized India fusion nor anything served in any India California buffets and definitely a level above it. ========= Tandoori are served on Sizzling Platters and placed on top of sauté vegetables (onion, bell peppers with spices) that are pre-marinated for hours. A lemon wedge is provided to squeeze additional citrus flavoring to the meats. The spices in the tandoori meats were well embedded that I could smell/taste the spices hours after eating as well as the next day upon reheating leftovers. 21. LAMB CHOPS (RACK OF LAMB / 5 PCS) Pre-marinated lamb with each leg cut and blacken char in the clay oven. It was cooked to well so a bit dry/over done for me. However, I was told the meats can be cooked to any wellness a customer prefer. If you want medium make sure to specify upon ordering. It came with a paste made from fresh mint/cilantro to help with gamey taste associated with lamb. 16. CHICKEN TANDOORI Bone in chicken thigh/drumsticks pre-marinated with spices. Additional hot spice paste can be requested, but I ask to put on the side. It was cooked well done, so could be juicer if cooked less. A side of marsala could also help with the dryness of the meat. ========= Boneless cubed meat are slow braised in India spice sauces: 61. LAMB ROGAN JOSH ** Delicious in flavoring ** Braised cube boneless lamb in a stewed tomato sauce filled with India aromatic spices (onion, garlic, India spices: black cardamom, cumin, cloves, etc). It's similar to saltness of a rustic tomato cacciatore sauce but w/ India spices. 60. LAMB KORMA Wanting to compare it to Al-Noor (Pakistan) in Inglewood is Spicy, Salty, Tangy, the taste was a total opposite to a Sweet Floral Nutty and Creamy (Himalayan is India). In the usa, most restaurants are called India to make it simple for non-India customers. The flavor is different because these are two different cultures/regions but use the same name Lamb Korma. Although I could taste the cashews, it was more bland in comparison to the Rogan Josh and other Korma I've tried elsewhere. I did not add additional hot spice. All the sauces come in the same dish and fits in a 24oz plastic container including the rice. Meats are cubed and seem to be about 4 oz of meat on my 1st visit. ============ Garlic Naan is at ala carte prices and not complimentary. It had garlic with cilantro flakes. It was OK but not as buttery as Al Noor. However, this restaurant's Basmati rice had more flavor than the Naan to go well with their dishes/tandoori. Restaurant is small café style, it's can hold a party of 6 per table. Bottle wine or glass is available to purchase besides beer and soda. It does get busy after 5pm and parking does get tight since it shares it with other eating establishment. For quieter setting, go before the dinner crowd. Staff is friendly and nice. During my visit, many of patrons (are not India) and happy/eager to experience a place with exposure to dishes that provided different blend of spices. Service/experience and attentiveness was much better the 2nd time around that I look forward to trying a new dish on my next visit.
