Garage doors for less was great. I needed an existing garage door opener replaced. The existing opener motor was fine, but the logic board was failing so it would not respond to the remotes. it would have cost $150 to replace the logic board. So, I decided to get a new replacement opener from amazon. Garage doors for less sent their technician TC over on a saturday morning. He was very prompt. He removed the old opener, installed the new one and outside keypad in about 90 minutes. TC was very polite, pleasant and focused. I paid with a check, but they take cash too, obviously. Highly recommend! I sent a request early on a Sunday morning, not expecting to hear back until Monday, of course. Was I ever surprised to get a response within 10 minutes! I couldn't make it easy for Adrian, because I was coordinating a repair for a vacant house a 45-minute drive away from me...I had no pictures of the door, and few details to tell him, other than the door was trashed and needed to be replaced. Adrian made it work though, without me taking time that I didn't have to drive out to meet him. He was so easy to work with, very communicative, he hauled away the old door for free, replaced the door and a few parts where it had been improperly installed, sent me a video of the work, we arranged for payment (and his price was very reasonable) and the door was completed just a few days after my initial text. I called Garage Doors 4 Less on a Friday afternoon (around 1:30pm) when my garage door quit opening and closing. The owner, Adrian, told me they were booked solid for the rest of the day but he could have someone out Saturday between 11am-12pm. I told him I thought the one of the springs were broken, and he had me give him the spring colors over the phone so he could make sure he had the correct parts in stock or could pick them up before his supplier closed at 3:30. He gave me pricing over the phone, breaking it down for the service call, parts, and labor. The next day Brian called me at 10:20 in the morning saying he was ahead of schedule and asking if he could arrive in the next 15 minutes. He arrived and replaced both springs before 11am. He also lubricated the door and evaluated it for problems. I asked for an estimate for replacing the door with an insulated one for the purpose of noise reduction. Brian told me actually my door was very quiet, but it was the actual opener/motor that was generating the noise. He recommended a belt drive versus the screw drive I currently have, but said mine was in excellent condition and I should get at least another 10 years out of it. I appreciated his honesty as well as the excellent service. The price was exactly what Adrian quoted me over the phone, there were no surprises or the inevitable "miscellaneous fees" that those in the home service profession seem to tack on at the end of a job. I called Adrian on a Saturday because of a broken spring. He called within minutes and offered to have someone fix it Sunday but I didn't need it that fast and I wasn't going to be home. I asked for very early Monday and Brian showed up at 7:15. Perfect. Had it fixed in 30 minutes. It ended up about $300 for 2 new springs with lifetime warranty. Exactly what Adrian had estimated. I would recommend that you call around for quotes before using. The rates are higher than the norm. I feel that there was some up-selling going on. I had one spring break. The tech began replacing both without asking for my approval. He recommended that I get both replaced, so I did not run into an issue down the road. I listened, which may be the standard thing to do? The charge for cash payments on two spring replacements: $65 for a service call, $200 for labor, and $100 for parts, total price $365. Credit card payment, add 3%. To begin, I hardly ever leave a bad Yelp review. Adrian gave an estimate over the phone for a broken torsion spring replacement. It seemed a bit high, but I booked his service. He came out the next day, which was fine. Once he arrived, it went quickly downhill. He pointed out many other issues he would "correct" for many additional charges. In other words, he tried to upsell me various parts he said might fail in the future. I was already paying $250 for 30 minutes of work, plus a "trip charge" of $65 and the 2 parts charge. He said he could replace the entire door for $1400 + tax. That's way above the average, probably double. The final job cost over $400, for a $300 job. He says he waived many extra fees for lubrication and tightening bolts. But when it was time to pay, he wouldn't accept a credit card ("fees are too high") and wanted a check. And we wouldn't accept the Yelp coupon listed right on his Yelp page. He said he had already given me way too many "breaks". After I paid, I noticed he charged a sales tax on the whole job, including labor. That was not proper. It should have been on the physical parts. He said it would be warrantied for 5 years, but failed to put it on the invoice. Instead he noted on the bill a $65 part I wouldn't authorize. Finally, I noticed he scraped up our freshly cleaned and paint garage floor. From his shoes and the step stool. In the end, he really didn't care about anything but the money. I guess he doesn't care if he ever sees me again. Quite sad. read more

The owner wrote a reply to my review stating "there were signs of an unsuccessful break-in where the top panel was pushed towards the inside." The owner was never here to see the panel. His technician, who was thankfully an honest man gave his opinion which was that the owner installed it incorrectly from the beginning causing this issue. I heard the owner myself on speaker phone chastise his tech for NOT lying to me. The Better Business Bureau did not side with either one of us which happens frequently. We called to have a spring repaired yesterday evening. Adrian answered the call and gave me a rough idea of what charges I could expect. I was able to get a yelp credit applied to help the financial burden. The warehouse was closed so he would have to get the spring for tomorrow. He would call me the next day with an appointment time.
