    Chicken nachos
    Nicole D.

I ordered the chicken nachos, and the chicken was flavored well, but the cheese sauce was subpar, nothing I would rave about. It reminded me of the cheese served at a concession stand. The sophapillas were fantastic. I have had them in other states, and the ones in New Mexico are by far the best I've ever tasted. Our waiter was nice and attentive, but we did have to search for him when it was time for us to ask for the bill. The food wasn't nasty, but also not a place I would want to visit again.

Pros- convenient location, competitive prices and Wait Staff was nice. 2 stars is given due to staff being friendly. Cons- food isn't very good. I shared the 3 Taco plate with my Mom. Kitchen split it on two plates. Tacos shells are not fresh (pre-pkg from somewhere) Brisket was dry, flavorless and probably several days old. Be warned that their salsa is very spicy. Chips were BLAND- no salt, no flavor. Waitress asked if we wanted cheese on our beans?- Of course! Got the bill and was charge .69 cents for extra cheese. Conclusion- drive thru options are better. Ambience- it's like a New Mexican Dennys inside. Simple and comfortable.

The food is good, but in New Mexico we spell it chile, not chili. Whoever okayed such blasphemy should be fired.

Do note that the food takes a while to prepare if you're ordering online - ASAP was 35-40 min. Inside it looked quite fun and spirited, with lots of seating and lively decor. Servers were speedy and kind with my order. The food itself was alright. The red chili soup wasn't quite spicy, and a bit watery. The fish tacos were also maybe a 3/5. We also tried the Greek salad, which was good but a rather small portion for the price. Ultimately, the food was good but not great. However we still enjoyed it!

I have to say I was a little bit disappointed as the service was OK although the bartender was prepping for the night service so I wasn't gonna hold that against him. The staff there those friendly and the atmosphere is always pretty cool there.. the bartender was going to be bringing me some chips and salsa and I asked if I could get a side of Serrano cream sauce as well as I planned on getting a container of it to use in tonight's dinner. The chips are not the same as they used to be. They were a bit thinner and the Serrano cream sauce tasted word like a plain flour cream with a little bit of heat. It is not the same sauce that I've had since they open this restaurant day one. They opted not to get it.. I will see the shrimp to start at seven dollars was underwhelming, although the flavor of the shrimp was really good. They used to have a little more substance to them and were very much lacking the guts of the Toastado.
