Someone recommended it to my son in the Old Town. We went for dinner. I loved the food. This was the first time I ate sopaipilla. They were so delicious! We had the stuffed sopapilla with chicken and red and green sauce. Delicious! The chicken salad came with a honey mustard dressing with vinegarette. So delicious.

No wait on the bar! Crowded and a popular spot! Apparently a staple in NM. I had the New Mexico steak and it was delish. Couldn't have the beans but the the green chili was great as part of the serving. Huge plate! The rice was a little bit crunchy but it was great. The chips were thicker than what I am accustomed to but the guacamole, cheese and salsa were absolutely yummy. Creative ambience made it seem a local feel and we love supporting local owned places. They do give military discount! Walking distance to our hotel which was a plus!

We love Tomasita's in Santa Fe and we're excited to checkout the Albuquerque location. While both spots have their unique vibes, we love them both! We joined the online waitlist while we ubered and we recommend that on busy nights. This is a popular spots so joining the waitlist is a smart way to not have a long wait. The staff were friendly and got us seated shortly after arrival. Hungry and thirsty, we ordered the house margarita and the Tres Amigos salsa, guacamole, and chips combo. The drinks were delicious and the chips, salsa, and guacamole were divine. A very strong start! We each got the smothered burrito Christmas style (red and green salsa). YUM! If you want flavorful meat, get the Carne Adovado. If you want a more mild meat, get the chicken. I got the carne adovado and loved every bite. In fact, I ate way too much, but it was worth the deliciousness! Don't forget that you get sopapilla's with homey butter and honey at the end. They are so fluffy, warm, and divine, you want to make sure you save room for them! Finally, prices are reasonable, the building itself is clean and inviting, and the staff are friendly and professional. If you have not been to Tomasita's, we highly recommend stopping by for a delicious New Mexican experience! We cannot wait to visit next time we are in town!

Excellent takeout experience. Taco plate was well prepared and delicious. Came with all the sides and a soft, warm sopaipilla. Nice touch. They did a great job packaging everything to keep the food warm and separate

The New Mexican cuisine is the best! This restaurant is a great place to bring out of town guests, a date, or family and friends. This place is comfortable and in New Mexican style. The green chile is outstanding! The server was friendly and efficient.

So there is a little wait during the evening. But so glad I can come here for a meal and it is free. Not a special only order from this menu type thing waiter said you can order anything off the menu

What a way to end our trip to ABQ. Amazing food. Great service. And some good time with 2 of our kids. My daughter recommended Tomasita's so we could treat my husband to some good wholesome New Mexican cuisine. And they delivered on all fronts. I did not get a pic of his plate or my son's plate. Let's just say they both enjoyed it all. I had the Chimoya Plate. It was delicious. The Pork Tamale was everything. I had my chilies on the side so I can savor the taste of the food. The heat from the chilies was nice and perfect. My daughter had a Stuffed Sopapilla. It was huge and she said it was really good. My husband had the Super Combination Plate. If you know you know. It came with everything. And for someone who does not know NM cuisine he was pleasantly pleased. My son had the Taco Plate. He cleaned his plate. lol. And to top it all off they brought us out a basket of Sopapillas. With honey they bring it all together. For my cocktail I had the Swirl! Frozen Margarita with Sangria. Delicious. Everything was delicious and I will be back when I return to the area.

Tomasita's is a legend. And the food is good! Both the red and green chile have flavor. I prefer the green but red is richly spicy. The server and kitchen were fast and polite providing many answers to these tourists' questions. The back room for groups had a roaring fire and was quieter. We were more able to hear each other.

Me and my sister ended up here by accident but it turned out to be absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our food, our server and the ambiance. We got to sit really close to the fireplace on a super cold day so it was so lovely. The food was very good too so that's a plus. I had the flautas that were actually huge and very delicious and my sister had the chile rellenos which she enjoyed quite a bit. My favorite part of the whole meal was The Sopaipillas. Not only were they huge, fluffy and scrumptious - but they came with a side of Cinnamon Butter that was absolutely diabolical. I've Never Ever thought about eating my sopaipillas with anything other than honey but I am Hooked for life now. Overall me and my sister enjoyed our lunch very much so that we have definitely been back a couple of times now and everytime we have returned it has been just as wonderful as the 1st time. Definitely come check them out.

Wow! You will not be disappointed in Tomasita's! We sat in the bar area, and our service from Marlo was exceptional! Even with a packed house, he made sure we were well taken care of . Our meals consisted of taco salad, green chili soup, and sopapilla burritos. If you've never had a burrito with a sopapilla instead of a tortilla, you need to try one! My new favorite! And, if you've want a sopapilla with honey, they've got honey at the table for just that! And now, I must mention the frozen margarita flight. Not your typical iced down frozen margaritas. We had the pomegranate, the gran marnier, and sangria. We all decided that the pomegranate was the favorite. They were incredible! Suffice it to say, we'll be back!

So I've heard of Tomasita's for years especially with their Santa Fe location. I believe the Albuquerque location opened around 2017. I visit Albuquerque often, but had never gone. Today was the day and it was good New Mexican. I got the menudo and a side of carne adovada. The chile is a little spicy and flavorful. The place was well laid out and used to be a steak joint years ago. My large party got a variety of food and everyone seemed to enjoyed their meals. The service was very good and our server was fast, friendly. If you're in Albuquerque and wanting New Mexican cuisine this should be in the conversation.

    Can I make a reservation?

They do for large parties if you call a few hours ahead. And be nice 😁

    Are the salads good?

I haven't tried any of the salads but I must say the last time I was there a woman at a table next ours ordered the Tostada Salad and it looked delicious. I was instantly jealous. I'll definitely try that at my next visit.

Just because it is in the IPCC don't think the food isn't good. I would come to the Indian Pueblo Kitchen even as a stand alone location. Every dish has an inspiration from Pueblo cuisine. For example, horno bread with the stews, indian tacos, and the pies are prepared as a Pueblo would. This time I had the indian taco. Quite tasty and the bread soaks up all the flavors from the toppings. The pie isn't overly sweet. All good. Enjoy local native flavor here.

The menu initially sounded creative, especially the waffles featuring pepitas, quinoa, and blue corn, which led me to assume that the same thoughtful use of ingredients would carry throughout the rest of the menu. The blue corn enchiladas were the clear highlight and were genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the red sauce served alongside them tasted noticeably canned. I had hoped for a fresh, house-made sauce that would complement the quality of the enchiladas. The calabacitas were also barely seasoned and could have benefited from much more flavor. The eggs Benedict was disappointing. The addition of a sausage patty made it feel more like a typical American breakfast than the regional and authentic dish I had expected. Many of the available sides were also potato-based, mainly hash browns or French fries, which made the menu feel less varied and imaginative. The blue corn porridge was acceptable, and the generous amount of berries helped bring the dish together, but the porridge itself could have been much more flavorful. There is plenty of potential here, particularly if more attention were given to fresh sauces, seasoning, regional ingredients, and a wider variety of side dishes. The service was good, and the meal overall was fine, but based on my experience, it was not distinctive enough to justify making a special trip.

For the lunch menu, the price is rather affordable for how much food I ordered. The tastes? I can't tell because it is comparable to any other restaurants.
