Excellent breakfast. Small seemingly family run operation. Cane in for a late breakfast and loved the food. I had huevos con chorizo and it was outstanding. Fresh and hot from the kitchen and some of the best chorizo I have probably ever eaten. Eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium with a slightly browned white and a juicy yolk! My wife did the corned beef hash and eggs. This was not as good she said. In fairness, this did not seem like the ideal place for that order. The waitress even had to have it pointed out on the menu so I don't believe it is a frequent order. Will return and convince the wife to order one of the standards or any of the Mexican dishes. Incredibly rude staff. The waitress was disrespectful towards my partner and I. She messed up our order and proceeded to argue with us about whether or not she screwed up. Furthermore, she proceeded to overcharge us for the screw up she had committed. I respectfully spoke with the owner to dispute the charge and was interrupted by the waitress who again began to argue with me. The owner asked the waitress to fix the charge who then rewrote the check with the exact same amount due in the end... The owner is a friendly woman whose professionalism I appreciate ... however they need new staff. The current waitress they have is crap. read more

New owners since last November I went in there and decided to give it a try and boy I'm so glad I did. The owner and her waitresses make you feel like you're eating at home. And I am pleasantly surprised with her food. The previous owner was terrible and now the food is like home cooking I am glad I stopped in today and will make it a regular stop. It's my understanding this place has changed ownership a few times. Not sure how true that is. All I know is the prices here have gone up considerably but that's to be expected. The most important thing is the quality. It has not diminished in the slightest. It may have even improved. The Skirt Steak Chilaquiles were spectacular and had a quality cut of steak accompanying the perfectly cooked eggs and chilaquiles. This is still the best breakfast in the area. read more

The service is great, very personable, the owner took the time to come out and meet us and we drove 7 miles off the highway to get here. The food was good size portions. Belinda had the country skillet is one of the best, very fresh and you could taste all the different flavors I had biscuits and gravy which is made with real sausage. Yeah. This is a nice, little neighborhood breakfast spot. It was busy not overly crowded when we arrived for a late breakfast. Our waitress was very friendly and continued to refill our coffee/ be attentive which I appreciate. I was not expecting much from the outside but the food was really good! We had the chorizo breakfast and it was a decent sized portion for a fair price. When we were up at the counter paying, you could see how friendly and happy the owner was. This is a nice old-school diner and breakfast place. Out waitress was really great (and funny). The food head ok. I had the corned beef hash skillet. Could have used both more hash and cheese and less potatoes. The potatoes were described as seasoned red-skin potatoes, but they were very unseasoned.
