Egg salad on toasted sourdough. Glad they do "half" sandwiches, a whole is huge!
    Tess M.

Luncheonette [luhn-chuh-net] noun, a small restaurant or lunchroom where light meals are served. Hungry people listen up. Garden Café, a family owned, service oriented business is there for you. No office building/complex should be without a resto like this, especially for peeps too unmotivated, sleep-deprived, just plain lazy and or all of the aforementioned to stop at a grocery store to grab a pre-fab let alone ingredients to actually prepare such the night before. You can't go wrong here. The Egg Salad Sandwich http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/garden-cafe-los-angeles-7?select=ZE_3ZN6JxkwDAIF_pqj55w#ZE_3ZN6JxkwDAIF_pqj55w is fresh, precisely diced and flavorful on toasted sourdough add lettuce, tomato, onion, call it lunch or breakfast, depending what kind of all-nighter you're coming on, or off of. Texan Burger http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/garden-cafe-los-angeles-7?select=ZE_3ZN6JxkwDAIF_pqj55w#T3zyBfSWYnaJimOs_t0RFg is WAY more flavorful than any burger variety at Fat Burger, competitively priced like all the fare. My friends raved so about the Caprese Sandwich http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/garden-cafe-los-angeles-7?select=ZE_3ZN6JxkwDAIF_pqj55w#YzLPx1WRPo_nE95SICJR_Q and Turkey Cranberry Panini http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/garden-cafe-los-angeles-7?select=ZE_3ZN6JxkwDAIF_pqj55w#jVTLEs_ALsQKj34PyiY3Nw that I was not allowed even a bite. I'm a fan who WILL be back!

Their Korean bbq special is a hit, just make sure to get soy sauce for flavor

Very inexpensive, wide snack selection and very fast / friendly / family run service. Great to stop to grab something quickly.

Once ordered, you're allowed to sit at the Equinox lounge and they'd bring your order to your table. The menu offered probably not as plentiful as the one in WeHo, but rich enough selections to pick from including many fun smoothies! We went for their Breakfast Burrito with avocado add-ons and loved how perfectly the eggs were cooked and well-complemented by the melted cheese. Instead of regular hash-brown, they used more rosti-alike one which gave extra twist of crispy texture within the burrito. The sausages were my fave being flavorful and served in big satisfying chunks! If you're into pastries like me, definitely no skip on their Pain Suisse. Like seriously just looking at the pic almost made me drooled again, perfect lamination with delightful buttery pastry and rich stuffing. Would certainly order it again and again!

Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. Out front, two girlfriends were hanging out with their matchas deep in gossip and clearly enjoying the morning. The matcha seemed popular, but I needed something hot. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. The bonsai garden is insane.

The drinks were very good and exactly what you'd expect from a quality café. But the food presentation--wow! It completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito, and the egg on brioche. Every dish was beautifully plated, garnished with edible flowers, and served with a fresh, delicious salad. I honestly wasn't expecting this level of presentation from a café. The portions were generous as well, leaving us completely satisfied. I also tried one of their pastries that reminded me of a cinnamon roll. It was enjoyable, though as a professional baker and pastry chef, I felt the pastries were the one area with room for improvement. In my opinion, they seemed to prioritize elegance and originality over achieving the best texture and flavor. Even so, they were still good, and I appreciated the creativity. Overall, this was an outstanding breakfast experience. Beautiful presentation, delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would gladly return.

I ordered one of their signature drinks, the Okinawa Cold Foam, which is a matcha latte topped with an Okinawa brown sugar cream foam. I got mine with light foam to cut down on the sweetness a bit. The foam was delicious, super unique, and paired well with the matcha. However, the matcha itself was just okay and was a little too milky for my taste. Parking: street and neighborhood parking.
