This place is right around the corner from Where I live. The inside is so inviting and meticulously decorated. They just decorated the outside with beautiful planters and awnings providing extra shade. It's like a mini oasis next to busy Santa Monica Blvd! Right across from the Century City mall! If you want to spot celebrities this is the place to be! Jon Voight (aka Angelina Jolie's dad) and many others stop by for coffee here. Love this place!

06/26/2022 Saw a new place pop up and a photo of Jon Voight choking out Wesley Snipes which would be a sight to see. While trying to decide what to order, looks like I saw Hank and maybe his daughter? They were leaving for the day after looking things over. I only caught a photo of them at the far end walking around the corner on the sidewalk. I saw the check-in offer for free coffee as I order a breakfast sandwich. It has bacon, eggs, and Monterey cheese. I was offered Tapatio or Cholula and also ketchup. Coffee is really hot for a drip coffee so letting that cool down a little. Someone wrote that it was watery, I don't think it was watery as it was a strong cup of coffee. I drink it black but it's always nice with cream and sugar.

New cafe in town!!! Loved their salads , pastries, and teas. Also tried their tuna sandwich and loved it. The environment is so relaxed and the staff is so attentive.

chicken salad wrap

As I entered the glass doors of hank's cafe, i was immediately greeted by the warm, vibrant, inviting smiles of the handsome baristas. They took care of me, like a father to his son. They held my nervous, trembling hand as I tried to navigate the menu, overwhelmed by the abundance of delicious options. "The chicken salad came in fresh this morning," one of them said. "Sounds good," I replied, shaking in anticipation. A measly five minutes go by as I await my wrap, nestled cozy and secure in their dining area. Then, it happens, a man by the name of Jackson Vann, whose face one can only visualize on the big silver screen of hollywood, brings it to me. This work of art. This wrap. This Cafe. This...Little life. five stars. Five. Stars. Thank you, Hank. Thank you, Jackson Vann.

Local mom and pop coffee shop that opened around the corner from my office. Best part is it's all the best stuff from Urth cafe. Where do I start. Had the chicken curry sandwich and cup of tomatoe rice which is my favorite. Staff is also super nice and helpful so if you don't know what to order then just ask them. Glad I found my bee local spot. Will def return.

Sticky Glazed Pork Shank 10. Blackberries & Butter Montamore Cake Complimentary chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup and sprinkles for the birthday boy! My favorites: 1. The blueberry cornbread was served with the best honey butter and blueberry jam. 2. The goat curry was not gamey. The meat was tender and the curry was mild in flavor. 3. The salmon was served with a crispy skin. The celery and peanut salad complemented the salmon well. 4. The pork belly was full of flavor. It was served with glass noodles. 5. The HIGHLIGHT of dinner was the pork shank. It was served with a strawberry salad, cucumbers, hoisin mayo sauce, hot mustard sauce, naan, and lettuce. The meat fell of the bone. This is a MUST try. For dessert we ordered the blackberries & butter cake. It was served with a frozen blackberry basil jam which had the consistency of a sorbet and basil whipped cream. If you like basil, this is the dessert for you! Overall, this was a delicious dinner. Service was attentive. Everyone had a great time!

Our waiter was personable and took our order quickly as well as consistently replenished our drinking water. Everything was delicious and had its own unique flavor, from the chickpea fritters which had softness and crunchiness, the goat mousse with sweet and savory sauces and the crumpets and crackers; then the goat belly with a deliciously crisp skin and soft inside and intense flavor (but not gamey) with a rich sauce, the steak was yummy and precut, and the pork shank which was epic! I loved all the greens and pita to wrap the pork and goodies into! We ended with a bday scoop of mango sticky ice cream which was completely different than I've had before and yummy.

There is a small seating area, and the seats weren't particularly comfortable, but the space seems intended more for a quick stop rather than a long sit-down meal. I ordered the beignet, breakfast po'boy sandwich, and chicken and waffles. - The beignet tasted good, but the portion was quite small. - The egg in the breakfast po'boy was burnt, which affected the overall flavor. - The chicken and waffles tasted like frozen food that had been reheated rather than freshly made. My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at Sandcouch Cafe and I would visit again in the future thanks to it's convenient location.
