Racist! This establishment is owned by racist! I have been a customer for about 3 years and would go about 1-2 twice a week or every other week and my family as well. As I walk in with a PR hat to support the WBC games today and wanted to order Pizza to share with family. I realized that now I am treated differently. I order a large specialty pie and a dozen wings. After I waited the 30 mins for the pizza was ready and I did pay prior, I asked for 12 paper plates. The hostess informed the owner/manager in their language that I asked for 12 plates. The owner/manager went on a rant and told me why not 8 paper plates, that I should only get 8, then says that they don't give paper plates to customers because they don't make money on giving paper plates, then he told me on how to serve food with 8 plates. I asked him, are we really talking about paper plates? He said, since he doesn't make money on giving away paper plates that he can charge me $5 and he would give me all the paper plates that I want. Seriously? Plus there was a lot of families eating, it was embarrassing and degrading to have such a topic of conversation. Never have I had a conversation about this and never have I encountered such things! There is a lesson in this engagement, I learned about their true colors and if this is their way of thinking about me a constant returning customer imagen what they think of you! It's petty of them! Nice little find The Garden Pizza is a small strip mall restaurant, that has a casual and informal vibe. The restaurant has open seating, no booths so you will get a chance to meet new people. The pizza is really very good, fresh ingredients, great sauce and crispy crust, and when they say large, they mean large. Have to bring some home and it was just as good the next day. I recommend Garden Pizza when you want to sit around the table with family and friends and talk while enjoying good pizza . I wanted to order from this restaurant, and their website pushed me through to an app called slice. I placed the order, paid, and waited over 25 minutes. It's pizza, gonna be a wait, right? When it was done, the app sent me a notice. Supposed to be curbside delivery. Said call the shop. I called, he says come in and get it. I go in and get a foil wrapped paper plate in a bag and leave. Get to the car to find an undercooked chunk of stringy dough full of mush. The exterior looks crusty, but it's wet all the way through. Carry it back in, request a refund. They offer to stick it back in the oven. No, thanks?!? Refund please. They say only the app can refund my money. So now I have to chase down some app I never wanted, to get my money back for inedible food that I have waited for, and I'm still hungry. read more

Working in the same shopping complex I frequent Garden pizza. The owner and who I believe are his sons are always behind the counter. They remember myself and co workers when we come in which is always a good feeling. The pizza is so perfect when you need to fulfill that need for NY style pizza. The slices and huge and perfecct amount of topping. I would have to say my favorite item menus item so far has been the Hoagie Special. What a waste of $30. The food is horrible and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. We ordered Hoagie Special, Cheese Pizza, Steak with Mushrooms & Cheese Sub. The crust on the pizza tasted like cardboard and the sauce has no flavor at all. I have no idea what cheese they use on the pizza but it certainly was not mozzarella and it made the pizza taste even worse. I was expecting fresh mushrooms on the steak sub however, it was canned and I felt like it was pretty much a canned mushroom sandwich with cheese. I have to give credit for the excellent customer service, timely delivery matter and super nice delivery boy. However, the food was terrible. The supposed "chicken Caesar salad" had nothing but chicken and lettuce. No croutons, no cheese and super watered down dressing and chicken that tasted ancient and I could not eat it. The breadsticks we ordered were 100% inedible as they were more of a rock than anything else it took our dogs several minutes to even try to attempt to take them down. The Capicolla Sandwich was however very good. I feel bad for giving such a bad review on a family owned business however I feel robbed of inedible food. I stopped in for lunch yesterday, because the ad on the door about the lunch special caught my eye. I ordered the 2 slice with a free drink combo and the fried mushrooms. The pizza was awesome and they are really good sized portions, but even better than the pizza was the fried mushrooms. I have been here 4 times now and have finally finished my review. I have only had pizza here and 3 of the 4 times it was great the other time the pizza was under cooked. Now dominos is right across from them but would never go there to support local business owners. the owner has help me each time after working on a project close by. he is very friendly and seems to appreciate your business, just wish I could have given him the 5 stars, but when I have been there his restroom are dirty, and I have observed some unhealthy practices by employees while sitting there waiting for my pizza. read more

Read a lot of reviews so decided to try this place. Walked to the front door and notice "A" food rating posted in the window. This was refreshing. Ordered the large Garden Pizza and a pitcher of draft beer. The pizza was Amazing and the beer was ICE COLD, poured in frozen beer mugs. For the most part it's a self service place, you get your condiments and silverware from the counter off to the left of the register. Did I mention the Pizza was AMAZING. Come to the Pizza Garden if you want Amazing Pizza, beer, wings. Don't come if you are afraid of a little bit of uncleanness, men's bathroom dirty, light fixtures dusty, furniture chipped and need a wiped down. No doubt this place needs to be cleaned, but I am looking to over look the cleanliness because the food is Amazing. We have ordered pizza to go a couple times from Garden Pizza and have enjoyed it, but recently we decided to stop in for dinner. I have a whole new opinion of the place since then. I really enjoyed the staff who were extremely welcoming to us and all of the patrons they interacted with. We ordered a large meat pizza which was huge! My husband can eat pizza so I was shocked when we had several pieces left. We were also happy to see the pizza and wing combos that are available. I ordered a glass of wine which turned out to be a mug of wine (did I mention I love this place) for $3.50. It's close to our house and an amazing local business. They also have awesome salads. We thought the food was great in taste just the wings looked super small, the pizza had a great taste as well but on the crispy side .salad was amazing . Went to pick up our food staff is very friendly, establishment looked well maintained. Saw 2 subs being pulled out of the oven looked amazing. Got home was very disappointed with the quality of all my food. Frys tasted like the were re-dipped in oil (super soggy). Wings are not spicy and very small and the ranch is kind of funky tasting. i'm thoroughly amazed at reviewers who whine about paying $17 for a large pizza with two toppings. It reminds me of my late father-in-law, visiting from Poland, who, when we took him to a store selling Polish foodstuffs in Glendale, looked at a package of pierogi for $ 4.99 and indignantly said he doesn't pay more than 50 cents for them back in Krakow. Cheap people living in an unrealistic parallel universe aside, the owner of this place used to run a pizza place in Avondale, where the food was quite good; and that tradition has carried over to this place. The bread on the calzone tastes delicious (it wasn't my calzone, so I couldn't try more than a corner of it; but I've been assured it was very tasty) and the sausage parmesan I had was also very good. No, it's not bargain-basement prices; but good food costs money and when you think of the costs of rent, food and paying employees, these prices are not unreasonable. If you think they are, may I suggest the tacky pizza shells you buy at Fry's, a bottle of pizza sauce, all the veggies you can buy and an oven. Let's see if you can do it for under $17. read more

The pizza is pre-made and they just warm it, however they did not put the toppings on before they fired it, they did it after. The pepperoni was limp and greasy since it just got residual heat from the pizza. The shrooms are canned! Ugh! I much preferred the cheese and barely ate any of my pep and shroom. My family has ordered pizza from Garden Pizza on a couple of occasions but have never dined in. My husband and I decided to dine in as the football preseason was on and Garden Pizza Was playing it. So we order a large sausage pizza and wings. I really like the wings , as they are a normal size, not those over over injected, fatty wings, and the pizza was great as it has been on the previous occasions. I Think I was most impressed by the service. I could tell it was completely family owned, and run. I love that. It makes me smile.
