Love their pizza! If you want real thin crust New York style pizza, and you're in the Goodyear area...GO HERE! you will not be disappointed! Just an FYI- the pizza is bigger than the box so it kind of folds the crust but WHO CARES! It's the best compared to others I've tried. Pizza and salads are awesome. Not really very good. The place seemed nice and other reviews mentioned good pizza. We ordered a large thin crust with tomato, mushrooms, pepper, cheese, and pepperoni. The crust was not thin at all--and was just a touch doughy. Lived in Italy for 4 years and this is not a "Palermo" crust. Mushrooms tasted like that out of a can. We love Garden Pizza. Their pizza is so good. The crust isn't too thick or too thin. The hot plates are delicious as well. Their marinara sauce is so YUMMY! My kids love their spaghetti. I went online as a first-time customer Sunday May 2, 2021 at 3:45PM and placed a to go order the Garden Square Pizza ($23.95) and added extra pepperoni ($1.95) and extra olives ($1.95). The pizza should come standard with: Pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and extra cheese. I also ordered Appetizer of onion rings ($5.50) and side of small Caesar salad ($4.50). I tipped 20% as I placed the online order which is my standard tip. The total bill was over %50 including tip. The pizza came with no sausage, no onion, no mushroom, and no green pepper. You can judge from the picture as to whether I got "extra cheese" that was to come standard with the pizza. I absolutely did not get "extra pepperoni that I paid an extra $1.95 for. Yes, somehow, I did get the "extra olives" that I paid &1.95 for...(only plus coming from this review). When I arrived at the restaurant at 4:20PM, I observed the following: 1. No customers there inside or outside. 2. Entry door was absolutely filthy around the door handles inside and out. Had not been cleaned all day. 3. Tables inside were (as stated above) empty of customers, nobody dining in whatsoever. 4. No Covid-19 precautionary measures whatsoever in place. No signs, no sanitizers, NO MASKS ON THE EMPLOYEES THAT WERE PREPARING FOOD AND/OR DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS. MY REVIEW: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I have to say I would have rather ate a Totino's frozen pizza. This pizzas was worse then school pizza. Crust tasted like it was pre frozen, sauce tasted like tomato sauce with sugar the cheese no flavor tasted fake or really cheep and the pepperoni was OK at best. Maybe it's my bad for ordering a sub sandwich at a pizza place, but this was probably the worst sandwich I've ever had. I finished less than a quarter of it. I ordered the turkey sub which was ready fast on a huge hunk of French bread. Too much bread really. The turkey had an odd color to it and was really gelatinous. The only flavor on the sandwich came from the Italian dressing that was all over it and it was not great at all. Thank goodness it came with a little bag of lays chips because that was the only part I could eat. It shouldn't be hard to do a decent sub, but if you can't spend the money on quality ingredients just take them off the menu. It's been a while since we ordered from here. The last time was before the pandemic, and it's still as good (if not better) than what I remember. I placed a phone order for delivery, and though two ingredients were missing from my pizza, I'm not changing my rating because the food was delicious and the service was good ! The young woman who took my order was friendly and patient; and the young man who delivered our food was friendly and polite as well. We appreciated that! We ordered a large pepperoni, large meat lovers, and medium white pizza. I asked for tomatoes, spinach, extra garlic and a side of anchovies to be added to the white pizza. Unfortunately, it was missing the spinach and my side of anchovies.....but like I said, I'm not even mad. This is the closest to my favorite childhood pizza that my mom and I used to order from a Boston-based pizzeria: tomato, spinach, garlic , mozzarella and olive oil pizza. Their crust is flakey/crunchy and one of my favorites ever! Everything tasted fresh. Even my kids loved the crust, and they hardly ever eat pizza crust! All 3 pizzas were baked to perfection and we were all excited to devour them! If we could have afforded it, I would have ordered more. As it stands, there's not much leftover, even though we had planned on enjoying some the next day or two. Oh, totally forgot about the garlic cheese bread! Next time, we'll have to actually try their pasta, because the bread would have been perfect with it. Garlic-buttery goodness! The customer service here is amazing. But unfortunately thats all that shines. The bathrooms are filthy. The soap must have water added to it. Which made me think what other corners have been cut. Easily the best pizza on the west side of town... Possibly the Valley in general. If you live on the fringe of civilization like I do, as far as quality pizza goes, Garden really can't be beat. I feel kinda boring in the sense that I generally only get the margherita every time I order, but.... It's really that good. According to my mother, their cheesesteaks are pretty top notch as well, but who goes to a pizzeria for cheesesteaks? At any rate, the pizzas are huge, delicious, and always ready to be picked up in just under 20 minutes on a weekday. He actually knows my voice when I call an order in (Don't know if that says more about his loyalty to customers or my loyalty to pizza lol), and the food is always fresh and tastes like little Italy. Everywhere you look there is filth - even the employees were very dirty looking and their white aprons were not washed for at least several days. You can tell the difference from same day pizza mess and days, weeks, months of dirt built up. Sadly I was incredibly hungry and I still tried a slice of pizza. Either they use a "cheese product" or they get the cheapest and grosses cheese ever. The texture was not right and it was mushy! I've never seen mushy cheese before. This place has the best pizza we have had in Arizona! The crust is perfect, the sauce is delicious (just the right amount of sweetness), and the cheese is very obviously fresh and real! Quick review - The veggie pizza was absolutely tasteless, the sauce being lifeless as if someone forgot to add any spices. Best item was the fried mushrooms which were crisp and tasty. Absolutely LOVE this restaurant, it doesn't disappoint! It brings us back to the east coast in the middle of goodyear. The food is amazing. Pizza is big, wings are juicy, and the salad is always crisp. Prices match the quality of food you'll get here, and service is always genuine.
