**experience during covid-19** With the new normal I only get home delivery. I am grateful that many restaurants are providing delivery options. Lettuce wraps are great and I even ordered extra lettuce but the container it comes in provides very little meat. Its short compared to the one the use for the general tso. General Tso chicken was tasty with a nice little spicy kick. It had a good amount of sauce on the chicken and even on the rice which was perfect because that's what I like to do with my white rice. The container is significantly larger than the lettuce wraps to fit the main dish with the rice of your choice. Edamame was good but unfortunately was cold but can't complain I still enjoyed it. To top it all out they included silverware and a fortune cookie as any good Chinese restaurant would provide. read more

We walked in on Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. My immediate thought was this place reminds me of a Panda restaurant. The young lady at the counter waited patiently to take our orders. We ordered two combo pad Thai plates, 2 two piece egg rolls and a chicken broccoli plate/white rice...and waited. The ambiance was "cafeteria like" for me. Our egg rolls came out first-but only one order. I asked about the second order-this young lady lost my respect when she let me know that I only ordered what came out. We didn't have the receipt out of trust for the cashier...what happens next was her last mistake. Our main course came out, my husband's was correct . Our to go order was correct. My "chicken" & broccoli somehow turned into beef & broccoli. I took it to the young lady at the front who had already gaslighted me about the egg roll order; when I brought it to her attention, she said "no, you didn't order chicken & broccoli"; I walked back to our table to let husband know what was said. I was visibly discontent, telling my husband what she said, when Josh the manager walked over to see what was happening. Long story short, the beef & broccoli was good(I just ate it so it wouldn't go to waste, however not what I ordered); we let him know how the cashier handled both situations and he was apologetic. Thank you Josh for the desert donuts...please retrain your cashier to listen more closely. We probably won't return, but it is what it is. I was too flustered to take photos, apologies. So my wife and I had run some errands and wanted some quick Chinese food to fill our tummies and we both voted on this place. We go inside and there weren't a lot of people inside but that may have to do with the time, it was about 2:30pm. My wife ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp with brown rice and I the Firecracker Chicken with noodles and we also ordered the chicken lettuce wraps to start. Our food was served quickly and I added about 4 chili packs to my entrée and let it sit while we enjoyed our appetizer. We finally dug into our entrées and we both enjoyed our meal. We called the store and talked to Josh the manager and he took care of us right away and ensured that we still got our order despite what happened with uber. Portions are EXTREMELY small.....the rice to meat and vegetables ration is 85%-15%...and for only 4 portions (of mostly white rice) and 1 appetizer it was 100$..also the appetizer was crab Rangoon and I've had this 100x in other restaurants, this us the only time it has tasted extremely fishy and had bell peppers inside of it and didn't come with a dipping sauce.....save your money folks read more

This was supposed to be their "Spicy Drunken Noodles" which should have fresh basil, red bell peppers, and onions. This only had ridiculous amounts of onions, nothing else. If they didn't have all the ingredients at hand they could've called to say so and I would have reconsidered ordering this in the first place. Their curbside service is advertised on the app, and they even ask for vehicle info, but once you get there and wait endlessly you end up having to go inside to pick up because nobody ever comes out. General Tso was spicier than I remember, that or my mouth decided to be a wimp today. It was damn good though, that mix of sweet/heat and savory just goes together like the beetles. Before Yoko Ono destroyed em. Lol. Never tried the dumplings here and the filling was good but wasn't a fan of dough. Only complaint was the fountain drink machine either didn't have syrup for the soda I wanted and/or no Co2. ‍ I'm sure I wasn't the only one to mention it, and they didn't go check. Oh well. Customer service can definitely improve. We decided to dine in on a Friday night about an hour and a half before closing time, and employees looked beyond irritated every time customers came through the door. We stood in line and looked over the menu. The menu is quite simple and easy to read. We walked over to the register and the girl who was originally taking orders walked away. Another girl came on over and stood there and just looked at us. I assumed she was ready to take our orders so I ordered away. We decided to order the chicken chow mein, an order of the chicken lettuce wraps, and two drinks. We filled up our cups, grabbed some chili sauce, and sat down at a booth. The dining area was busy as a couple other tables were taken. Our lettuce wraps were brought out right away and they tasted freshly made. The server didn't provide any plates or silverware so we sat there and waited. Minutes passed by and our chow mein was brought out. We asked for plates and he left and dropped them off without saying a word. People were still walking in about 30 minutes before closing time and the employees were much worried about cleaning and closing then attending customers. I always wondered why the chili sauce tasted funky at times but now I know why. I saw an employee grabbing ALL the left over chili sauce and mixing them together in a blender! Gross. I've seen customers double dipping and touching the sauce with their fingers and here they are mixing them all together at the end of the night. Gag. read more

After doing g some shopping at Walgreens, I walked over to the Pei Wei to get some lunch. It's been a while since I've been to this chain, so I don't have the menu memorized. The place wasn't that full and I was greeted by a young guy who didn't say anything other than 'do you want to order?' I said give me a minute to read the menu as I'm not sure yet. He then disappeared. There was a young woman mopping in the kitchen area but not acknowledging I'm waiting to order. This initial first impression was rude and I really questioned if I wanted to eat there because of the rude greeting. Now I'm standing there waiting to have someone come over and take my order. It was about 10 minutes before this guy came back order. No other customers came in while o was standing there. He didn't make suggestions or do anything to make me feel welcome. He seemed bothered by my big Walgreens bag and hating his job. It is a shopping center so don't people come in with a shopping bag? Like where did this guy go? Leaving a customer there and nobody else who worked there acknowledging a customer had come in? I ordered the Kung Pao shrimp. Another young guy delivered it to my table with about the same rude behavior. The peas were barely cooked and hadn't gotten the strings off of them and the rest was rather bland. If I wasn't so hungry, I would've left or asked an employee to fix what I had ordered. I should've taken a pic of this mess but I was on a business call. So we are continuing the drama of COVID. Nothing like all the waste of plastic when they used to have nice dishes. But that's right you would have to have a dishwasher. No that's a cost. It's not like you haven't cut cost by lowering the quality and quantity of the food. I needed a map to find the chicken in my dish that was drowning in all the sauce. Wondering what that was covering up. Not the trash, that was overflowing. Bad. Mens room needed attention and it's 2 on a Sunday afternoon. This location has been a solid go to for many years. Their quality is great, food taste fresh, flavors are spot on. Inside is always clean and the staff actually look like they are happy to work here. I LOVE trying new items on their menu, and have not been disappointed since. My wife always gets the same entree each and every time, and she continues to love the consistency. I have dined in, take out, curbside, and even delivery. Each time my experience at this establishment has me wondering, "why can't all restaurants be just like this?" 11 times out of 10, I will continue to recommend this restaurant. read more

It's one of our least favorite Pei Wei's, simply because it is always dirty. Especially the beverage area & bathrooms. The heat that comes from the kitchen is just to much. Either something is wrong with the ventilation system or their AC is never on. But it's so hot it's uncomfortable to eat in the restaurant. Most Pei Wei's we go to, because we are big fans of them & their food, are a pleasure to go too. For some reason this one on the east side of El Paso is just always & I mean always dirty & hot. It's kind of a let down. We highly highly recommend Pei Wei's, just not this one. Until they get a manger at this Pei Wei that actually cares about the small details. We ordered dinner through door dash, it arrived hot fast and everything was exactly what we ordered. The food was cooked perfectly just as if we were actually there eating dinner in their restaurant. I totally recommend ordering food from them through door dash because of how well everything was packed, how hot the food arrived. Their General Tso chicken has just the right amount of red pepper but not overbearing. I highly recommend the cauliflower rice. The sushi was also fresh tasting. The staff is very courteous and patient, as the menu has a ton of options. The food is cooked to order but came out in a timely manner. I also appreciate the convenient location (Las Palmas) and there's plenty of parking. They also have a separate take out station, which I have utilized in the past. Got sweet and sour chicken, it was just plain fried chicken on rice with peppers onions and pineapple but no sweet & sour sauce. Also the chicken smelled and tasted burnt, like the oil was old or something. It did not taste good. The food is crazy overpriced, I at least expected bigger portions for the price. I ordered through the app. I tried the new Thai coconut curry chicken (I ordered the tofu version). I often order from PeiWei because they offer a variety of entrees with tofu and the service is amazing. I like to choose the curbside option here because they're fast and polite. Their reward program is neat because they like to throw in free meals once in a while or surprise us with coupon codes.
