Jesse is the freakin' man. He plugged my tire today and only charged me $10. He's always available and helpful and I'm in and out quickly. I've gotten my oil changed here, gotten my turn signal light fixed -- a job he could have charged WAY more for, but basically did at cost. He's kind, easygoing, and always super respectful. I wish I could give more than 5 stars ... it's a huge weight off my mind to know that I can always go here with my vehicle and be well taken care of, and for not a lot of money. read more

My husband needed to get his brakes done and the dealer was charging an arm and a leg. He contacted Gary and got an appointment the next day. He was awesome and had the car ready in a few hours. Gary actually waited for my husband to get off work to pick up the car. His price was a third of what the dealer was charging. Technician was so helpful with unlocking the wheels that the dealer had kept the key to. Gary also gave him a discount as he told my husband "every bit counts." Great service and staff!!! This is the first time I've written a review where I wish I could give more than five stars. The guys got me in and out in the same day and were super friendly, helpful, and HONEST. I have two cars and will be bringing them both here every time in the future. Can't say enough how great these guys are. Once you find a good mechanic never let go, and I don't plan on it. I highly recommend Gary's pit stop! I had to bring in my 330xi BMW because of a gas smell coming through my vents. Gary and Jesse were just amazing and able to repair the issue in a few hours! I bought my car off a guy who got it from an insurance auction, and knew there was a lot more wrong with it then the gas smell so they went and did a complete inspection of my car and even wrote down everything that was going on and needed fixing! Gary appears nice and knowledgeable upon first encounters. He will go out of his way to assist you to get your business, but when you go back because of ongoing issues with your vehicle, that he keeps missing, he suddenly turns on you. Last night I got a nail in one of the tires. The only place open at that time (around 8 PM) was Pep Boys, so I went there. Their manager took a look at it, and said I have to replace that tire because a patch wouldn't work as the nail is too close to the edge of the thread. I asked him to patch it anyway, and he refused. This morning I went to Gary's, they fixed it right away (even though they had other cars in the shop) and didn't even say that it was too close to the edge! And charged only $15 (Pep Boys would charge $20). Both, Gary and a mechanic working on it, were nice and friendly. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I was just treated SO RUDELY by Gary himself AND I've brought my car in to Gary two times prior. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! He made me feel as tho I was in the wrong for arriving by 8 AM and was flustered and roaming around in a horrible mood while his other 2 useless employees ignored me. I am appalled. Just got back from Gary's this morning, and I am happy as can be. A few days ago a bunch of lights came on in the car all at once and I was worried, but I came out of there unscathed - just replaced one tire sensor and got an oil change. I should also mention that last year I had taken my car to the Mini dealer and they had prescribed all these costly fixes, but Gary & Jesse did an evaluation and found that I only had to go forward with a few of the fixes at a fraction of the cost. Gary also recommended Wise Tires to replace the run-flats on my car, and I was just charmed by their family run-business. All in all Gary's Pit Stop is a great place to bring your car to. THE MOST HONEST MECHANICS I EVER MET! Seriously. I've been taking my old BMW to these guys for years. They know I'm on a tight budget and ALWAYS tell me when I DONT need to fix this or that or when they can do something cheaper( or even for FREE!!!). Every other mechanic I know will always tell me I must replace a part (even when I don't need to) And forget about going to the BMW Dealership, that's the biggest rip off in the world!! Gary and Jessy are honest, hardworking guys who have pride in helping people and believe in the karma of never making someone pay for something they don't need. I can't say enough about these guys. I just LOVE them like family. Gary also works on all my friends cars and even my Mexican housekeeper's old car (which is NOT. German car!). Once again, these guys were fantastic. I have been to Gary's twice now. The first time, I had him diagnose a coolant leak and replace my coolant tank reservoir. He quoted me a price and promised me the car by 5pm the same day. I agreed to his price and received a call two hours after I dropped it off that he was already done. He let me know that he was able to get the parts for less than the original quote. He then adjusted my invoice to a lower a price. Truly an honest guy! My second visit was for brake fluid flush and an oil change. He honored my BMW dealership coupon and gave me the discount on the oil change. They knocked out these jobs in a little over an hour. I mentioned that there might be an exhaust leak. Gary and Cory took some time diagnosing it and tightened up a few bolts. When I got my bill, they provided that repair complimentary. I am so pleased with the level of service and commitment Gary and his team have provided. I had so many questions about my car and instead of having to wait at a BMW service center for hours, Gary patiently explained to me about how my car works in minutes. He was very accessible through the phone as well. My car just needed more coolant liquid, in the end, and Gary offered it free of charge. I was so taken aback, because he answered my questions and consulted me on what I should do for my car. The first time I came across Gary was several years ago when I worked at a small used car dealership on PCH near Venice and Marina Del Rey. Recently we had a power steering pipe leak replaced and had our bushings replaced on our Nissan Murano. We saved approximately 40% off what the main dealer would have charged and also happy to support small business within the locality.
