    "Sweet Dreams" Bar Pizza
    Jessica B.

The BEST south shore bar pizza you're going to get outside of the south shore! My husband and I ordered the "sweet dreams" pizza which is pepperoni, ricotta and hot honey. It was absolutely perfect; no flop, nice crunch on the bite and amazing flavor! We shared a pizza but I wish I got my own, that's how good it was! I would definitely recommend checking out the pizza here :)

The wings were a hit, loved the classic roasted and the sweet Thai chili. Classic was Crispy and very tasty. Sweet Thai chili was very good w/ a little bit of a bite. The Bon Yah was amazing just wish more filling or less bun, you will see in pic. The service was great and the place had a chill vibe and Sunday football was a plus. Will be back when in area.

Got Bardo's delivered for lunch and it was a solid option. The Chicken Caesar wrap was full of chicken but I wish it had a bit more greens. It is a bit dry and could use more dressing. Chicken was good though. That said their chips are outrageously good. Thick cut and super crunchy. They were seasoned with herbs like dill or chive that gave it a ton of flavor - almost like sour cream and onion. Huge serving in its own box.

As a pizza lover I have no idea how this placed slipped past me as their bar style pizza is phenomenal! Do note that if you follow the directions to Bardo's Pizza it'll take you to Castle Island Brewing Co which confused me initially until I realized that Bardo's is inside! Items we ordered (to go) as of 1/2024: - M Street Beach - $12.50 -This Kale salad is absolutely fantastic. I loved the cured tomatoes and grilled focaccia that's in here. One of the best Kale salads I've had. - Cheese Pizza (half mushroom) - $12 for cheese only - Pretty solid cheese pizza though not the standout here. - Sweet Dreams - $17 - This was the best pizza we've had. The hot honey could be spicier but it perfectly complements the pepperoni and ricotta that's on the pizza. I would 100% recommend this! I definitely plan on coming back and eating in to ensure maximum freshness (and try their other offerings too!).

Ordered takeout from Bardo's which is located in the brewery on the corner of colony ave in southie. Tried a cheese and pepperoni and they did a great job with the south shore bar style. Nice crisp edges and tight center. Flavor was good, and the online pickup was efficient. Seemed like a cool place to grab a beer and have a pizza while watching games as they had good size TVs on the wall.

Linguica and Ricotta pizza and Hot Garlic Wings

Ordered a Linguica Pizza and Garlic Hot Wings from the Food Truck at Castle Island Brewery and they were two of the best tasting meals in recent memory!! Off the hook flavor, perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth deliciousness!! Super easy to order and pay via QR code. Food was ready in under 20 minutes and was amazing!! Well done

Bardo's Pizza shares space with Castle Island Brewery. It's a great combo, considering you can never go wrong with pairing beer and pizza. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it didn't take long to come out. It was thin and not too large. Definitely not my usual type of pizza, but it had a buttery crust that elevated it. It was a satiating meal. Price was reasonable too. Do be aware that pizza last call is much earlier than beer last call.

As a self proclaimed SSBP expert (I make my own too), I was urged by my SIL to try Bardo's. I gotta say, it's delicious and fresh and has knocked off Town Spa from my list of local favorites. The Castle Island brewery in Southie where Bardo's is housed has a great family-friendly vibe. Street parking may be a bit of a challenge, but we went mid week at noontime and found a spot nearby. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. You find a seat, set up a tab at the bar, and keep going up to order until you close the tab. Food is delivered to your table. There are big screen TVs sprinkled throughout. The Nitro Sweet Brown was a notable favorite, as was the cranberry sour. There's even red or white wine for the non-beer drinkers.

I went to Bardo's Pizza located in Castle Island Brewery in Southie. This past weekend was their 1 year anniversary where they had special select menu items! They had the "Andiamo Special" which included a hot honey chicken sandiwch and a 16oz pint of their Andiamo Lager potato chip beer for only $23. They also had a Jetty Mimosa which was their champagne-esque kettle sour blended with OJ We tried the mimosas, salads, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the buffalo chicken bar pizza, the Apricot Mango Sour Sorbet pops and their churros! My personal favorites were the hot honey chicken sandwich, the buffalo chicken pizza and the mango sour sorbet pops. Everything was also very reasonabley priced. I recommend you grab a beer and pizza there after work or for the next Patriot's game on Sunday. Rating: Ambience: 7/10 Food: 7/10 Affordability: 9/10

Pepproni, ricotta and hot honey pie

The pie I got was great. Loved all the flavors together and I'd never seen it before when I was out. Servers and bartenders weren't super helpful when we asked for water glasses and actually gave us attitude for asking. Cool interior, great spot to watch a football game and someone was having a birthday party there which looked nice

    Social Climber Pizza
    Zan D.

More like a 3.5 but bumping it 4 since I had it to go which isn't going to be as fresh. I think I just prefer a more NY style slice. This was like a thin crust pan pizza but done well and very tasty. Got the social climber pizza which was great. I wish the sausage had been a bit more flavorful and pronounced but still a solid place for bar pizza.

    Pickle pizza

Flavors - 4.5/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 4/5 Value for Money - 3.5/5 Would return? Yes Must-try: Any pizza! I looooooved this pizza!!! The flavors were so good for any pizza that I tried - cheese, pickle, the social climb and the special of the day (ricotta, pepperoni and hot honey). Did you just read pickle? YES, and I also thought it would be disgusting but it just works. The toppings are generous and really well spread out, which makes every bite to taste amazing. They also must have a special cheese blend that makes even the cheese pizza to taste special. The bottom of the pizza could be crispier, but the top is so crispy that it makes up for it. Like every bar pizza, the crispy cheese edge just delivers! I found these addicting.

    Sausage pizza
    Karla M.

By far one of the best pizzas I've EVER had. The edges had a nice char to them and the pizza top was golden and cooked to perfection. I'm not sure if the sausage is homemade but I thoroughly enjoyed the extra cumin is had. The pizza was a bit salty but since I'm a salt fanatic I was not one bit upset about it. I absolutely love sharp cheese and I could definitely taste a sharp cheese which I think helps to bring all the flavors together. Often times pizza will just have mozzarella which dilutes the flavors since mozzarella is a very subtle cheese. I am also not the biggest fan of pizza sauce and this pizza barely had any so I was very pleased in that department. I also liked that it was thin crust, so you didn't have to worry about the bread consuming all the flavor--instead I feeling like all the toppings were absorbed by the pizza dough which made it that much better. I did do take out so It's probably my fault but I did wish the pizza crust were a bit crunchier. So there can be a change in texture from bottom crust (crunchy) to top of pizza (soft). Overall I would highly recommend getting pizza from here. I think the size is okay for two people (who eat normal portions) and it's $15 which isn't too bad for the quality.

Great bar pizza. I like the cheese but not the pickles so much. A bit pricey but delicious

Prices are reasonable, we spent less than $50 for two small pizzas and two drinks. The pizzas were very good and the crust was excellent. Service was good. Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow.
