I had a great experience at Gators. Ive been coming hear for 13+ years . The staff and owner are incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole visit feel personal right from the start. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the gyros and the chicken platter. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, tucked into a small plaza which gives it a nice comfortable vibe. Overall, great food, hospitable people, and a place I'd definitely come back to. read more

Overall 3.5 stars This place has history been a hit but there have been some misses lately hence the 3.5 stars; this review is for the last 10+ years of coming to this spot. They make their food fresh right when you order it. The prices over the years have gone up but that's inflation. I do think the quality of their meat has gone down in the recent years as it's not the same as it used to be. Gaters is unbelievable. Oh my god, is all I can say. I don't understand those 5-star reviews and where they came from. Totally false. The food here is extremely bad. Horrendous. Those 5stars are probably coming from people with no taste in food. The atmosphere here is very unclean, uninviting, and unpleasant. This place needs serious renovation. The lack of hygiene and sanitation here is mind boggling. This place is a true disappointment to authentic Mediterranean food as well as the restaurant business as a whole. We drove from Half Moon Bay to eat here, by far the best Mediterranean food we have eaten. The flavors are authentic, the service is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Outdoor seating and dog friendly. Great ambience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT THE OG FLAVORS!! read more

Ok I read reviews I saw some bad ones and good ones had to try it myself and give my own personal review. mediterranean food is a plus tired of eating Chinese food and McDonald's. Ann was the person that took the order and I forgot the chef's name but talking friendly great vibe. So for the location it's a small little spot has a few tables and chairs. It will be nice when they remodeled the place and make it look upto date cause the food was pretty good. so we ordered the lamb Gyro french fries kefta kebab plate don't forget to ask for the white sauce and the hot sauce on the side which my wife likes. My Son was going crazy with the lamb Gyro we split it of course it was all gone french fries all gone of course they have ketchup. Not bad my wife's kefta kabob meats was fresh and seasoned properly. Yes I ate her food too. All gone salad was good. Came with with a circle bread you could say it might be pita if correct me if that was wrong and hummus and of course my wife ordered two baklava you have to get that of course that was good. I'll be back to try something else I have a big taste buds I'm a plumber and I go to alot of restaurants I'm writing this 6 hours after eating there and I'm still full with no stomach issues. 5 stars for me because the food was perfect for me and my family. read more

If you grew up in Fremont or are familiar with the area, then you definitely know Gaters. They are the definition of a hole in the wall with amazing staff and food. I love to go here when I don't have much time/energy to cook at home but I want something filling and nutritious. This regular sized plate is only 14.99 which is insane to me. Most kebab places/mediterranean spots are starting at $25+ these days so this is 10/10 in my books always. The staff is always very friendly, they're open late, and just about everything on the menu is delicious. One of my go to spots since I was in high school! read more

Came here on a pretty late night, they're open late which is great! I didn't really know what to get the owner was so nice to recommend the combo platter which you can choose the size of! He also let me try one of the desserts and it was so good! But the combo platter was packed with flavor and the sauce was so good! The meats were seasoned perfectly. Last month, a small group of us went to this restaurant after we got out of an event late. We were happy this place was open and can't say enough about how warm the staff was! There was a true family feeling. Even at a late hour they were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and even went above and beyond to serve us. The food was delicious (I enjoyed the garlic chicken), and they were even kind enough to bring us an extra sweet treat to try at the end. We would love to go back! read more

They claim themselves middle eastern but middle easterns know to never serve that kind of food to anyone. Literally I know many people that tried out their food and all got food poisoning. Please don't ever go here unless it's a revenge meal you're trying to get back at someone. And I know for a fact all them 5 star reviews were written before they got food poisoning. I ordered a lamb gyro, with fries, and a soda. The lady over the counter wanted to say I never ordered a soda because on my receipt the full description of soda was not printed. I was clearly charged an extra $1.85 for my order and on DoorDash it says the $1.85 charge is for soda, yet this woman was being obtuse and refused to give me a soda and tried to say the extra $1.85 charge was for lamb which was a lie. I showed her what it says on DoorDash. If your customer shows proof that they ordered a soda, you should give it to them. Poor customer service. read more

I checked my online order and I did pay for the pricier 3 meat kabob combo ($18.99), not the 3 meat combo platter($12.99). Tried calling but no one answered. A true disappointment! The food is extremely poor quality and very very very bad The hummus is worse than store bought and tastes nothing like hummus but of grated canned garbanzo beans. The salad is atrocious! The cucumbers are not fresh or crunchy. They are soggy and old! Terrible! This salad must have been sitting in the fridge for more than two weeks! See picture. The appetizers killed my appetite. Do not order from here. Any of the five star reviews are false. I ordered a combo with chicken and kofta. I got one piece kofta! My friend ordered the three meat combo for extra cost and got chicken and two kofta! Ridiculous. Also, the veggie plate that was ordered separately was the skimpiest amount of sides. Absolutely delicious. I had the chicken garlic gyro and garlic fries. The spices were fantastic, the peta rich and smooth flavored, and the side white sauce was a great complement. I need two or three servings of the sauce! The garlic fries were uniquely cooked, or at least I've never had them this way. It was a buttery flavor that I couldn't get enough of. Delicious.
