    Oreo shake
    Jason S.

Well well we'll let me tell you how surprising this place I literally found by chance! My old corvette broke down and was able to park it right out front and while waiting for the tow truck we decided to have a milk shake on a hot day!!!!!! And this was the absolute best Oreo shake I ever had And Bob who is a gem think he is the owner was super polite and you can tell he has been serving since forever because of his chill demeanor! He made my boy some fresh French frys that was also good!!! He serves a whole variety of things that we will try sometime

I had a meeting at Ohlone College the following day. I decided to look for some dinner in this area. This had quite a charm. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking and a small parking plaza Seating: Outside seating and inside seating. Room for about 20 people. Vibes: Fremont is nothing too flashy. In this area, you have a lovely community college, nice local good eats, and a famous Mission Peak hike. The spot itself is very ma and pa energy. Pictures of food and vintage sports teams. Great place to stay lowkey or grab and go for a quick bite. FOOD: Banana (and Oreo) Shake - (Recommend) Delicious! I needed some chocolate so they added oreos for and extra dollar. It had a nice balance of being thick, smooth, and creamy. I enjoyed the sweet mix of banana, vanilla, and chocolate oreos. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Wop was a nice dude. Near close, he still serve me and made a quality shake. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Great flavors, reasonable prices, and a pleasant ambiance. This is nothing flashy but it's a neat local gem that Fremont residents should be lucky to have. TIPS: * Check out their daily specials

I stopped in while on a bike ride on a weekday afternoon and was the only one there. I commented to the man who took my order about how hot it was out, but he still suggested a hot sandwich. I laughed it off and insisted that a cold sandwich would be better on a hot day, proceeding to order a mortadella and provolone on Dutch-crunch. Following a long wait for such a simple order, I'm served just what I ordered, but HOT! Wasn't sure what to make of it. In any case, the inside of the deli is very unkempt and I didn't feel particularly welcome, so I doubt that I'll be back.

Chewed gum piece found in chilli

Second time ordering online through grub hub. While eating my chili I got a minty taste chewing on a rubbery substance. When I pulled it out of my mouth it was a chewed piece of mint gum. Very nauseating and I won't order from here again

1" Fried cockroach that came "free" buried at the bottom of my fries They even cooked it. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!

This is one of my worst dining experiences. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I came here to get fries. I ate them, they were okay.... until I got to the fried 1" cockroach at the bottom. So f***** gross!!!

    Salmon Giant Burger
    Crimson ..

Today, I decided to visit Ohlone Deli & Catering and ordered the Salmon Giant Burger. It didn't have the typical restaurant look; instead, it had a homemade appearance. I knew right away that it was going to taste good. After the first bite, I was in heaven not just because I was starving, but because the burger tasted amazing. The fries were also superb, seasoned perfectly. I would rate the experience 10/10.

Excellent atmosphere and friendly service make this Mom and Pop type of deli a real treat. It's located right across from Ohlone College, and I recommend the beef gyro. The freezes are a treat as well, and they come with caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut syrup by request. I wish they were open on Sunday (for a relaxing day off with eats), but if you can make it during the week, or on Saturdays before they close, you won't be disappointed. * Note, there is no public restroom, so keep that in mind if you're planning to stop off and sit and eat, while socializing for a while.

Homemade mom and pop deli cafe. Nice and small. Perfect location right across the street from Ohlone College in Fremont. Older traditional sandwich and beverage stops can be just as good as any new deli cafes or restaurants. Saw the sunny weather and decided to revisit. Lovely patio tables, red & white table cloths/umbrellas, and chairs outside. Indoor seating available. Colorful flower decors. Huge windows. Cute! Huge free public parking lot in back. Safe neighborhood on Mission Blvd. Plenty of sidewalk parking too. Pleasant day and quiet lunch spot after 12:30 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Note, no public restrooms. Slow service. One person shop. Give him a break! Guy does everything well to keep business running. Lunch lines can take a long time, so expect 10-15 or 15-30 minutes for your order unless you order in advance for pick up. Love these old school sandwich deli spots. I had a hot BBQ chicken sandwich and a peach smoothie for dine-in which came out to around $20 with taxes included. After lines, I also ordered a cheesecake and baklava dessert which came out to around $6 with taxes included. Worth tipping something here. Everything tasted great! I had a sandwich craving and almost went for ice cream and root beer float too. The place is perfect for students and locals to grab delicious foods and break time. Anyone not love the convenient walking distance to school? This place stands out. Old, original, casual, and good. Wide hot or cold sandwich selections and good menu options. Yes, totally worth coming back for another delicious sandwich, salad, and/or soup. Sanitation of tables may need some work of wiping down after each customer, but there's room for improvement. Beautiful stop.

Since we moved, we needed a new sandwich spot because The Sandwich Spot is just too far (though I miss them so much!). So in our search for a new sandwich place, we decided to try out this deli. It reminds me of those typical deli spots....yeah slightly dingy, slightly questionable, but good prices for not too shabby food. L O C A T I O N Ohlone Deli & Catering is located across from Ohlone College in this plaza that I remembered had Beaman & Company (anyone else remember the only anime shop?!). Anyways, they have parking in the front and a little private lot in the back. M E N U They have your standard sandwiches as well as gyros and burgers. They also have drinks and breakfast items which we've never tried We've gotten various sandwiches here as well as their gyro and fries. It wasn't too bad, had a good amount of meat though the last time we had fries, they felt not well cooked. But in a pickle, they'll satisfy a french fry craving though yes...they're crinkle cut. S E R V I C E Generally not too busy, so we always get our order in 10 minutes but during that time we end up walking over to Umi to get boba. There's usually only one person in there taking orders and fulfilling them. O V E R A L L Considering it's decently priced and nearby, we've already come back several times for our sandwich Friday fix. Definitely support this local deli!

This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall deli place that is located right across from Ohlone College. They have a wide variety of items on their menu; such as sandwiches (hot & cold), soup, burgers, gyro, fish & chips, falafels, hot dogs, salads, nachos, fries, etc. Their prices are fair too. Some of my favorite items I've gotten was their salmon burger and their soup & sandwiches. They were both delicious and I would order these again; although I would be interested in trying out their other items too. Since it's located right across from Ohlone College, finding parking could be hard when classes are in session. There is street parking, or you can park in the parking lot that is located behind the building. If you want to support a good local business in Fremont, this is a great place to grab your lunch.

Mother's Day Brunch Review:…read more 2008 Rate: $38/person. 10:30 or 12:30p options. 12:30pm was our choice. "Breakfast" options included: sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, waffles, and two made-to-order omelet stations "Lunch" options included: apricot coated ham, rib-eye roast, oysters, king crab legs, shrimp cocktail The obligatory champagne was also served. Dessert... Couldn't tell ya, didn't have any. Overall, I'd say it was a pleasant experience. Food was good, the service was on point... Only "minor" complaint I would have is that because of the set times allowed for reservations, the line for the buffet did get pretty long. Not "This is f'in ridiculous" long... but certainly longer than one would expect from a $38 non-Vegas buffet.

Harvest Cafe is good in that: - they took our order ahead of time - they cooked it prior to our arrival - they brought it out promptly after we were seated - the food wasnt cold It is very difficult to have group lunches (more than 15) in under an hour, but they have been good in having us in and out by an hour's time. We usually fax in our order and give a time that we will be arriving so they are able to target that time to have the food ready. While this may not seem like a large feat, we always encounter major problems when requesting to have to food cook prior to our arrival, so that we can eat in a timely manner. I usually order the Steak and Bleu Cheese Salad ($12) which is very good and very filling. I always pre-split this order and eat the rest during the afternoon slump. The steak is tender and flavorful and the dressing doesnt overpower the salad. This last time though I was not very hungry and ordered the Beef Kebobs ($9) instead. The beef is actually the same kind of steak they use for the salad, just uncut, and it comes with a side of flat bread. It is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it is just an appetizer... at an entree price.

For $19, the portion and overall value were excellent. One thing that impressed me before the entrée even arrived was the complimentary sourdough bread. It came out warm, with just the right amount of tang. The crust was thin and crisp rather than overly thick or hard, while the inside stayed soft. They also made several cuts in the loaf before serving it, which made it very easy to pull apart and share. It sounds like a small detail, but I've been to plenty of restaurants where the complimentary bread arrives cold, overly hard, or as one large loaf that is awkward to tear apart. This one was genuinely very good. The entrée itself was generously portioned. The four coconut shrimp were crispy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the coconut rice and vegetables as well. I also appreciated that the food was served on a hot plate, which helped everything stay warm during the meal. The one real disappointment was the mahi mahi. It was noticeably dry and somewhat underseasoned, so unfortunately the main piece of fish ended up being the weakest part of an otherwise very enjoyable plate. Everything else was quite good. Service was also above average. My server was a young gentleman who seemed attentive to the table. Shortly after the food arrived, he came over to see if I needed anything and specifically suggested things like salt and pepper. I appreciated that--it's more thoughtful and useful than simply asking a generic "Do you need anything?" He also checked in periodically during the meal without being intrusive. There were still a couple of small things keeping the service from being exceptional. The bread wasn't proactively refilled, and after I had completely finished everything on my plate, it would have been nice to have someone stop by fairly quickly to clear it and ask how everything was. Still, these are minor points, and overall I thought the service was very good, especially for a younger server. Overall, I left with a very positive impression and would definitely come back. Their Social Hour menu looks especially interesting, with good prices on oysters, mussels, scallops, calamari, and other starters. I'm also curious to return on a Sunday to try the $19 cioppino special. Very good value, attentive service, excellent complimentary bread, and mostly very good food. I'd happily return--I'd just choose something other than the mahi mahi next time.
