Came in for cocktails and perused through the menu and was happy to have stopped in before a concert. They have a happy hour at the bar only which seats about maybe 12 or so I would say so come early if you plan on that. They had all traditional cocktails on there for just $5, really awesome. We ended up sitting in the dining room since we figured we would do Signature cocktails which are not a part of happy hour anyways. Watching the other folks around us get their food and over hearing comments on it, it's definitely a place to check out for food too had we had more time. I ate here at the bar on a Friday night. It was busy, although not full. I was surprised how long I sat neglected before someone finally asked me if I wanted a drink. Both dishes I ordered came out at the same time, even though I had asked that they come separately. The scallops were excellent. I'm hesitant to criticize staff during difficult times, but I think there's some sloppiness here that could be easily corrected. read more

We were at Gather for Thanksgiving and it was so delicious! My son really wanted turkey and the traditional Thanksgiving meal special was amazing! Staff was attentive and friendly, we were able to relax and enjoy our meal! Tables were close, but it was nice because other diners were friendly and chatting amongst each other even though they weren't in the same party! We loved this place! We decided to eat here our last night in Jackson to celebrate our anniversary, and are very happy with our decision. Heather was our server and she was great, happy to be serving us and loaded with good and detailed recommendations, and didn't mind letting us try a couple wines before purchasing a bottle. She didn't make us feel rushed at all and let us enjoy ourselves. Thanks Heather! We split a house starter salad, so yummy. The cranberries tasted like they were made there and not some dried store bought craisins. We loved that. Fresh and crunchy lettuce and perfect portion size. I got the Korean marinated wagyu, probably some of the best meat I have EVER eaten. The steak had a beautiful salty and crunchy crust that complimented the tender and soft medium rare temped strip perfectly. The bone marrow fried rice was so good. The cucumber pineapple salad was another great little compliment to the other flavors. Everything married beautifully, even the garnish sauce on the plate tasted great and wasn't over powering. Honey had the lamb chops and was also in love with his dish. Great prices for everything, even the cabernet which went well with the salad and both our meals. The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming, very refreshing after a couple other places we tried. We wish we lived in Jackson to be able to try all their other dishes. It was hard for us to decide what we wanted because every single item seemed so delicious. This will be the first place we come back to next time in town! read more

And thank the Good Lord (good lord) that they did because we got to go to gather and it was epic. Overhyping? Maybe a little but everything was good. Soup great (some type of potato cream) loved it. Burrata and peach sauce whatever... great flavors and an amazing bite. Elk Bolognese was my least favorite thing but it was still great. Well cooked noodles and great flavor and the meat was rich in flavor. Marrow fried rice... yep get it. Fried in marrow mother effers! I generally hate those little bao sandwich things, but their pork belly was oh so tender and the fat melted in the mouth. THE VERDICT: Drinks were great, the desserts were great. Everything that we tried here was exactly what I needed at the time and it filled not just my stomach but my heart and my heart's soul. Great service can really make or break a restaurant. I was super pleased with our waitress. She was very attentive and knew how to make small talk. The foods she suggested were all pretty good as well. We started out with the pork buns. They were good, but the bun was a bit doughy. My favorite dish for the night was the pork shank. It was nicely prepared, tasty and was just an overall well put together dish. We also tried the Korean Wagyu, which was just okay. The flavor was there on the steak, but the quality fell short of what I was expecting. I liked the pineapple salad pairing. The rice that came with the steak was a bit strange, I could have done without it. This place had a great atmosphere to it. The service was on point and the food was not bad. One of THE best meals I've had in my life and Gather is a real Culinary Ace. I've had pork buns all around the world and these were by far the best. I prefer the crispier presentation of the pork belly and the bun was quite soft. The pork shank did not disappoint and was tender and delicious throughout. The Brussels were the best I've had and featured bourbon soaked craisins that while at first thought have no place in the dish the sweetness brought out all the other flavors. And at last... the Bison. I wasn't as adventurous as others but the meat was surprisingly delicious, tender and nutty in flavor. They marinated for 24 hours and smoke for 24 hours. If you'd had Bison before and didn't like it, I urge you to try again at Gather. Lastly the service was top notch and that of a Michelin Star establishment. Please, bring some souls and gather at Gather. You will not be disappointed. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner at Gather while on vacation at Jackson. We ate at the bar, which is typically our preference and it was nice to be able to do that especially with the COVID restrictions. I liked the warm, low key vibe of the restaurant and it was perfect for our last night here. I had the Elk Bolognese and my husband had the scallops. I think I won that night because the bolognese was a lovely, silky sauce with chunks of elk and bison and perfectly flavored. The pasta is pretty heavily sauced so if you don't like that you might want to request less sauce, but I loved it. The scallops were also very good and seared perfectly. We rarely have dessert but sprung for the donuts. They came with 3 sauces which were fun for dipping. The donuts are not super sweet, which I liked. Service wasn't very engaging or all that interested in us at all, but they did their jobs and all was fine. Overall, would totally return again. We made reservations a week in advance and still weren't able to get in until 9:00 on a Friday. With 50% capacity restrictions right now, advance reservations are a must in Jackson. read more

This is our second time eating here while visiting Jackson. The service and the food are outstanding. My husband got the pork shank and it came with a tortilla so you can make a taco which he really enjoyed. The meat just fell off the bone. I got the trout and it was amazing as well. After a long day of hiking and exploring the National Parks, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Gather. The menu catches the eye right away, with a mix of classics and Asian-inspired dishes that are hard to find (Bao Buns in Wyoming?!) I had the fried chicken with rice and my father had the Idaho Trout. Both were delicious. Our server Alexandria was very helpful and answered any questions about the menu. Gather also has a fantastic selection of local craft beers, a good entry point if you're new to the area. My Wife and I gathered here for dinner and it was fantastic! Pork Buns: 8.5/10. I see why this is a local favorite. I would totally recommend you get this. The buns were steamed perfectly. Pork was juicy tender however, a little too sweet. So much so that I couldn't really make out how it was seasoned. Wagyu Beef Tartar: 10/10 especially if you like tartar. The fried egg was perfectly over easy, the bread had a nice smoked flavor from the grilling and the tartar had a chunky texture which I appreciated. Bone Marrow fried Rice: 6/10. The pineapple cabbage worked well with the rice. My complaint is that the rice was way over cooked and mushy. Jackson Donuts: 10/10 would recommend. The black cherry dip had a wonderfully tart sweetness for the donut. Double that up with the ice cream and your on your way to rounding out the night just like these donut holes. The vanilla dipping sauce is probably my favorite but not as unique as the black cherry. read more
