Beyond frustrated with the booking system. We made a reservation for 4 people and were well aware of the 24 hour cancellation policy and called the day prior (28 hours in advance) to move the booking to the following week which they accommodated. We were then charged a $100 for no-show. Please train your staff for how to cancel a reservation !!!! We followed the policy, we're still charged, we've disputed with our credit card company and were given a sob story about covid struggles -- we followed the policy, we dined there a week later yet charged $100 for no reason. While dining there we brought up the charge to the server who said a manager wasn't available to discuss and call back. After calling several times to no answer we went through the credit card company. The response keeps being it's policy but we followed policy!!! Our latest response was even incorrect because it said 6 hour policy not 24. Again we still would have followed that but believe it to be a 24 cancellation window. Extremely disappointing because we would return for the food but not after this ordeal. read more

My partner and I went to Gather tonight for the first time and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was fantastic from the hostess to the bartenders- Allie and Kate. Allie and Kate especially were amazing and gave us great recommendations! We started off the meal with great cocktails and a charcuterie board that was excellently arranged. We were starving after a day on the mountain. Not only was the food delicious but the service couldn't have been better. Abby the host is a sweetheart. The ribs could be eaten with a spoon. After a really great day experiencing the eclipse, we wanted a quiet, leisurely dinner. We went to Gather expecting that, however, our entrees came out at the same time as the starters. The tables were small, and fitting one course on it was tight, but fitting two courses was uncomfortable. I ordered a trout caesar salad, expecting a savory flavor, but it was sweet, so I couldn't eat it. The waitress asked if there was something wrong, and I told her. Nonetheless, the bill came without any deductions for poor service or the fact that one could not eat it. If one does not eat sweet entrees, why suffer through it, but why should one pay for it? Good service but the food is below average at best. My shrimp on house salad was overcooked and the salad itself was overly sweetened with disgusting cranberry "preserve". The bison filet was below average as well and this is a 42 dollar dish. Poorly seasoned and tasteless. I would skip this place. I give it two stars because of good beer and fries. Great food and our waitress Madison was great. Only improvement would be the timing from the kitchen. All courses were served incomplete and left over dishes took 5 minutes or so to come out. My family and I had a celebratory meal here for our last night together in Jackson. We were all so impressed with the menu, kindness from the servers, and energy of the restaurant. There was a miscommunication about the availability of the tables when we arrived, but we were kindly offered space at the bar until a table cleared in 20 minutes. The bartender was a little snappy with us, but this was the only negative experience we had with employees. Everyone else was outstanding. My margarita's were delicious. We ordered many small plates in lieu of mains- naan, goat tacos, fries, charcuterie (large size), poke and my brother got the elk Bolognese as a main. All very delicious, but our stand out was the creative and impressive charcuterie board. So original and delicious. Our waitress was so kind and patient with our constant ordering, drink refills, and neediness. She was a gem, I wish I remembered her name. (Ryan?) We ended with donuts for desert. We all loved our impromptu meal here, and we are so glad we could squeeze into a table short notice. Amazing way to end our last night together before we parted ways. We visited at a lot of different places while visiting Jackson and this was our favorite! The small plates are all phenomenal! We had the fries, Shishito peppers, brussel sprouts, truffle pasta, and wagyu! Everything was outstanding!!! OMG good! This place was sooo good. Service was great too! First time at Gather the other night with friends. The restaurant staff was very nice and we were seated relatively quickly with a little wait with reservations. We started with the Burrata (Very good), Brussels (over sauced but good), Ribs (over seasoned and very salty... no one liked these) Shishito peppers (very good). For the mains Bolognese, Bison, Fried Chicken and Duck. All were thumbs up good. For desert we shared the Sticky rice and Malasada's. I would skip dessert if you go. The Malasada's were just ok (a little heavy and dry) and the Sticky rice was not sticky at all. You have to judge ratings based on clientele. This is a ski town and it's spring so all the lift operators are looking for summer jobs. First off the waiter didn't know what was on the menu. We ordered soup, she ordered a Pozole salad, salmon and I wasn't taking any chances and ordered a hamburger. Soup was actually good, the salads was a mystery with no distinct flavor, salmon was salted to death and the burger was over cooked, but.... the french fries were actually great. We slipped in just a few minutes before they were set to close and although they said the kitchen was already shut down, they didn't turn us away!!! We made a stellar meal of the pork buns with kimchi and pork shank and house frites. Flavours were inventive and the price point was more than reasonable for the quality (bear in mind that I do hail from LA and this is actually cheap for food of this calibre). We LOVED our experience at Gather. We had a party of 4 and were so happy with EVERYTHING we ordered, the service, the atmosphere, it was very impressive!!! I loved my Roasted Wild Mushroom dish, the flavor was incredible! Everyone else at the table raved about their selections as well, from starters to dessert, we were very happy! We were a party of two locals and 2 semi-locals, and all agreed that Gather is one of our new favorite spots! Can't wait to go back! it wasn't a "loud" restaurant by any means, but some where that you could laugh and joke without feeling like you were going to get in trouble or that people were looking sideways at you. I don't usually both with adding a review, but Gather earned this praise tonight. We had a great meal. Four adults and one small child. Every dish made us smile. The Pork Buns are a local favourite for a reason, although the Mushroom Toast stole the show for appetizers. It's great to see a restaurant which has real food for kids too and not the deep fried staples that 95% of places seem to have. All four of us loved our mains and I can't help but say the Beef Lengua is amazing!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Also, the drinks list is pretty interesting ;-) read more

We started off with some housemade cocktails which were a perfect way to begin the meal and shared the brussels sprouts which were phenomenal. We tried the roasted squash salad and cowboy Cesar which were both out of this world and entrées were incredible two people had the amazing burger with 1 pound french fries which were delicious. Two of us ordered the pork shank which was so delicious. Two others had the duck which was to die for. All in all it was great food, great cocktails and fun atmosphere. The atmosphere and decor were comfortable. The seating is odd as there is an entire bench seat along one wall so you end up sitting rather close to fellow diners. The wait staff was very pleasant and knowledgable. The beer selection was small but good. They only had 3 draft beers and none of them what I like. I opted for a canned IPA and it turned out to be quite tasty. The pork buns and brussel sprouts were very good. My wife had the risotto and was disappointed.
