This the location we've been coming to for years, but for the past few months, service has been trash. Tonight tops it. Waitress spilled a beer on me. Said sorry and disappeared for 15 minutes. Finally came back and took our order. Order came wrong, and missing extras that were ordered. Took another 20 minutes to het corrected. Three people were eating and drinking. Our drinks have remained empty since our food came, we had to go ask for refills, we then asked for to go boxes, waitress disappeared again for 20 minutes this time. We arrived at 7pm. Came here on my lunch break with my fiance. We normally only go to Gator's for their AYCE Wings on Monday night. We always order the fried pickles to start with, which are always good, plus their ranch is amazing! She ordered wings which she was craving, buffalo style. They are good as usual. I decided t try the Smoked Stack with vegetables. It's a Smoked Brisket, Mojo Pork, sweet Jalapeño, Relish, Cheddar Cheese and Onion Petals piled high on a Brioche bun.It was very good, with a little added BBQ sauce. The steamed vegetables were good, you can only do so much with them. Our server was very nice and made sure we always had refills in a timely manner and helped us. The best wings in all the land!! Get them grilled, breaded, or regular. All are amazing and the sauces are great too. Thai chili and hot garlic are my top favorites. Try the onion peddles for an app, wonderful. Beer selection is average. They try to have "craft" beers but they could do much better by bringing in local Florida breweries. My first time at Gator's Dockside, any Gator's Dockside and what a disaster. Our server seemed new, she couldn't remember our orders or made mistakes with our orders and kept having to come back to our table for clarification on what we asked for, or to tell us they didn't have it. Fine. Then 2 people in our party of 7 get their food. That's it. Several minutes went by and we complained to our server that no one else got their food. A manager came by to tell us 2 other things were ready and did we want them to bring them out. Umm, yeah?! They bring out the other 2 items. A few more minutes pass and they bring out the last 3 items and they are incorrect. No lettuce and tomato on my sandwich and a dinner came with fries instead of vegetables. The vegetables came when he was almost finished eating. On the upside, my blackened mahi-mahi was delicious, however, I paid a $1.99 upcharge for macaroni and cheese as a side but I barely had any on my plate, so I wouldn't do that again. My husband said his steakhouse burger was mediocre. Now for the worst part. The whole restaurant was full of smoke. Not cigarette smoke, just smoke. We noticed it when we ordered so we asked our server. She explained that the ventilation hood in the kitchen wasn't working and they were trying to fix it while waiting for a repair guy to come out. In an effort to get some of the smoke out of the building, the doors were opened but our eyes were getting irritated, especially every person at our table that was wearing contact lenses. Management knew we were upset so they discounted our checks and gave us two desserts. But wait, there's more! The desserts and checks took several minutes to come out, we were so ready to just walk out at that point. At least when they were brought out, the manager apologized for our experience. I don't know if I'll go back again. Perhaps if it's just my husband and I and the restaurant isn't full of smoke I'll have a better experience. read more

Decent.. not wonderful.. The only reason that I go back is the Scooter wings. The scooter wings almost make up for all the other shortcomings. Tonight, the table that we were sat at was dirty, and no one came by to take our order for over 10 minutes. I wiped down the table myself and then washed my hands.. When I finished all that, STILL no drinks ordered! I almost gave up and left, but I really wanted those wings. Went to Gator's yesterday to watch the Cowboys game, since it wasn't being shown on regular cable. It was super-busy and there was only one TV showing the Cowboys (but 3 in the same corner showing the Eagles), so we put our name on the list and pushed up to the bar to get drinks. The good news was, after 20 mins or so they changed another TV to the Cowboys, so we were able to get a booth. The bad news, it was in the side room, which was nasty-hot. We ordered wings and nachos. The wings were good, but they charged me $1.38 for watery ranch and $0.69 for celery. Seriously? Lame. The nachos were served with a tube of sour cream, and were piled so high on their tiny plate that the first several we pulled were all lettuce. By the time we got down to the cheese and chili the cheese had cooled and started to solidify and the chips were a soggy mess. Not a pretty picture. I say 3 stars because the drinks were cheap and the bartender and waitress were very nice, and if you can get a table in the main dining room you might not have to worry about passing out from the heat, but overall we'll probably be looking for somewhere else to watch the game next weekend. read more

Went on unlimited wing Monday for $12.99. My son commented that at around $1 a wing we were "in the money" at 15. They get you started with 10 and then it goes by 6's thereafter. Since we showed up an hour before the big game, we had a good 3-4 hours to scarf down wings. You get a choice of breaded or grilled. I went with the grilled on all of mine and started with the Parmesian-garlic, followed by honey garlic, then a special blend they have then Jamaican Jerk and more parmesian-garlic. I hit my limit at around 37. Tasty wings and we had a fun, quirky waitress, named Dixie. She was very attentive and my wife always asks for limes and I swear she had two or three limes cut in slices to fill up a big bowl. Good value on Monday if you're hungry! read more

I love it here. I have never had a bad meal or server. The tailgate chips (an appetizer that is not on the menu and you have to ask especially for) are one of the best apps I've ever had. Its basically a meaty nacho plate but with homemade chips. Its amazing. They alone make the trip worth it. Gator's is one of my favorite places when I'm in the mood for wings. You can get them in various forms (grilled, breaded) and there are a ton of flavors to choose from. I happen to be extremely partial to the scooter sauce, which is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. If you're looking for something besides wings, I would suggest the gator tail or the crab dip. Yummy! Monday is their "all you can eat" night, which isn't something I partake in considering I can't eat enough to make it worth while, but it seems to be a popular time of the week for Gator's. This location boasts that it has wifi but upon attempting to connect, I found out that it's through Bright House and it's not free. I definitely wasn't happy about that as I was attempting to finish up some work while watching a game only played on the NFL network. Charging for wifi? NOT COOL. Another less than awesome thing that happened during my last visit had to do with insects, although I never found out which kind exactly. I guess the server was sweeping or moving tables and saw something that disgusted her. Instead of stealthy taking care of it, she SCREAMED at the top of her lungs and made a big production about it. I came out to Gator's on Monday night for some food and drinks with co-workers. It was definitely all about the football for this place. They had $5.99 Bud Lt pitchers and $12.99 for the giant pitcher dispenser. My husband and I split an order of Gator Taters. These are by far my favorite thing on the menu. Definitely bar food, but it so creamy, crispy and mouth watering. It's potatoes with Ranch dressing on the bottom topped with Cheese and bacon with green onions. For my entree I got the Terriyaki shrimp skewers with rice and steamed veggies. The shrimp were super small but here was a ton of them. They were not plump, juicy and sweet like you would want. They were tiny and a little rubbery and had a very pungent fish smell and taste. The rice was your typical out of the box Zatarans/Uncle Ben's mix, but on the dry side. The veggies were under seasoned. I was glad I got full on the Gator Taters, because I did not want to eat much of my entree. Gator's Dockside is a bar, pool hall, restaurant and a big screen bonanza all rolled in to one place. They have a large area with high tables and stools made for playing pool and darts but also have several big screens for all the sports. So you never miss any of the action unless you are looking around at the women. They have another area with regular tables and seats for sit down, but also a quiet area for the family and children to the side. They have TV's but it is quieter. You can have birthday parties here, in the quiet area, plus they have family days, school spirit events and all you can eat wings or kids eat free nights. Events vary so check their website for more information. Food is standard and their chicken wings are what they are famous for, but you can get a variety of other sandwiches, appetizers and drinks. Our favorite thing to do is to order a variety of wings, beer and get a pool table or a dart board then just hang out and talk while watching our favorite teams on the big screens. Great for family or friend get-together situations where no one wants to cook and you need a place big enough for a dozen or more people. Prices are reasonable. Service is usually quick and efficient. Don't drink and drive!! read more

The worst experience I have had at a gators dockside on all you can eat wing night. Took two hours to get two rounds of wings and they were both very cold when they got to us. We asked to see a manager and the first one, Bob, was not even listening when we explained the situation. He said he would make sure our next round was hot. It came 30 minutes later and the round was warm. We asked for another manager and the only response he could give us was that they were very busy tonight. They did absolutely nothing!!! Also, never cleared a single plate throughout the duration of our meal. Great waste of time and money, stay away.. worth the drive to a different location. read more

When my wife, kids and I first visited this establishment a few years back I really didn't like it. The wife loved their wings and the kids always enjoyed the environment. It was close by and had very good prices so we would go about every other week. As we visited more and more I really began to like this restaurant a lot. Their wings are pretty awesome and they have a ton of different flavors to choose from. Whenever I go I order their tail-gate burger which is really good. We love Gator's, but so do a lot of people. You'll frequently need to wait for a table, especially on Sundays and even more so if the Eagles are playing. The Eagles fans take up about half the restaurant and can get quite loud. Anyway, the food is great and that's the main thing. Love their wings and all the different flavors. Just try the peanut butter and jelly flavored, it sounds kind of gross but most people I know end up really liking it. My kids love it and usually order it off the kids menu. Also, Tuesday for dinner the kids eat free. They have a bunch of daily specials like bingo night, all you can eat bone in and boneless wings, and build a burger night.
