Two of us went to gators for dinner at 7:30 pm Sat night. There was a wait so we decided to sit at bar. When we sat down it was clear that a few people had a few too many drinks. Only obvious because of the over the top repeatedly loud foul words. I'm no prude and just tried to not pay them any attention. The guy became louder and using the worse lauguage you ever heard repeatedly and the bartenders did nothing. He is loudly describing his examination of a female in full detail, the bartenders did nothing. The group all laughed and made the announcement they were all in the medical field. the bartenders still did nothing. Kids were directly behind them. I was at the end, a distance away and heard them clearly. The man next to my husband asked them to stop that he was trying to eat and it only provoke them more. Still bartenders did nothing. I couldn't finish my dinner and when the bartender asked why I told her and she then goes straight to the group. I don't know what she said but when I went to leave the woman in the group verbally attacked me and when I yelled back she said for me do "do something about it". Bartenders, management.....did nothing. It was much worse than I have put in words but my point is the restaurant did absolutely nothing. I asked for the manager, at this point I was close to tears. After 5 MINUTES he comes and of course is apologizing. I just wanted him to know since he obviously never walked by the bar or he would have positively heard. Who knows, maybe he did hear. I will NEVER go back. The staff and management had well over an hour to stop this over the top, foul, horrible loud talk disrespecting every female part and clearly the hate of women. read more

I came here with some coworkers and even though the place was a bit empty at 12 o clock at night even though they close at 2am the atmosphere was still good and the server was pretty quick and good at keeping us happy and bringing us beers and our food. read more

Had wings/pickles/drinks there on Sunday. We always buy extra and take home rest for a second meal. Got home and in a few hours both of us were sick (I will not be more descriptive than that). Something was not quite right - our guess was either the wings or ranch dressing. Threw out our "to go" boxes. Called restaurant and Manager Alex said he would investigate and get back to me. My friends and I attend the all you can eat boneless wing night on Wednesdays at this location. We all regard it as our favorite night of the week. There are televisions everywhere playing any sporting event on that night and the wings are incredible. I personally recommend the lemon pepper and four alarm suicide flavors. Every week our server goes above and beyond for us and provides excellent service all night. One of our initial concerns was that there wouldn't be enough room to seat all of us comfortably, since there are usually 7-8 of us attending each week. Thankfully, these concerns ended up being non-existent. They have plenty of seating options including large booth's that are able to seat all of us easily. Even with having so many people each week, we are still able to get tons and tons of orders of wings at remarkable speeds. My family and I have been customers for about 15 years, and the restaurant has continued to decline in service and in food quality. We have had multiple disappointing encounters, but after last night, I think we will be taking our business elsewhere for a very long time. Gators currently allows you to make orders online, so we thought we would give it a try and pick up some food to eat at home. We live less than 10 minutes away, so we weren't too concerned about losing any quality of the food. We placed an order for 20 wings, a veggie quesadilla, 2 side salads, and a side of fries. When I went to pick up the order, I checked it through, knowing we have gotten home before and missed an item. The order was incorrect, despite specific notes made while ordering online. I asked for no mushrooms or onions in my veggie quesadilla, which there were, and one of our 10 piece wings to be split into two sauces, which they were not. The waitress handling the to-go orders was very kind and quick to fix the mistake. After about 20 minutes, she returned from the kitchen with 5 new correct wings and a new quesadilla. She also handed me two $5 coupons to use next time from the manager. The manager had discussed the situation with the waitress directly in front of me, but never acknowledged me or apologized for the mistake. Once I returned home, EVERYTHING was cold and old, including the new food she had brought me. Even the salad tasted gross (how can you mess that up?), like the lettuce had been sitting out all day. More than half of the quesadilla didn't even have filling. We are not particular or picky people, typically when there is a mistake with an order, we let it slide. Unfortunately, though, after spending $45 on almost non-edible food, we certainly won't be taking out food from Gators ever again. It will also be quite a long time before we ever return, IF we choose to return. I truly hope a place I once loved does not continue to decline as it has and is. SUPER disappointing! read more

This is a great spot for happy hour beer specials and bar food. While the boneless wings in garlic honey sauce are tasty, the star of Gators is the Fried Mushrooms! Went on a Tuesday and when we got there saw it was kids night and they eat free. There were a million kids there but we were seated quickly and the food came out quick. I think if i was just there for some wings with friends i would of been super annoyed, but since i was there with my daughter she was happy seeing all the kids there. There was a clown doing face painting and balloon animals. No one was really tipping her so i got a balloon and gave her a tip. She was really good with the kids and very patient. There was also someone doing bingo and we all played that and it was fun. I got the cobb salad which i loved. It was huge and their ranch is so good. I'm a ranch snob (if there is such a thing) and it got my seal of approval. My husband got the scooter wings and they were very yummy, tangy and sweet. Overall it was a good experience. One of the better gators I've been to especially when compared to the train wreck west colonial location. Always attentive when food is made wrong or tastes bad. Servers are usually friendly and attentive and smile . 3 star rating is strictly for the tall bird like hostess with the dark hair. She consistently makes people wait while she screws around with no attempt to even hide it and clearly isn't enthusiastic about her job. Twice in a row now this girl, after making us wait in an empty restaurant while she texted, has subsequently forgotten to even tell our server that we were there causing a longer wait. read more

I used to like this place. Pretty much out of local loyalty. There's usually some small issue every time but easy to overlook if you're that kind of person. But today I ordered "grilled" wings and they gave me fried wings. I've had grilled wings here before so I know what they should be. I politely pointed out the blunder and lol..she says "all our wings are fried even the grilled ones. If you really want I'll go throw them on the grill some more". Are. You. Kidding. It was literally the stupidest thing I think Ive ever heard. Yeah ..please go re-grill the fried wings you just served me. Overall food is good. Typical sports bar. Good place to watch a game and family friendly. Scooter wings are one of my favorites, and the wings in general are very good here! Other things I would suggest is the tailgate chips and the apple cobbler. I haven't had much of there other food beyond wings. My father had a monte cristo that looked very good. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a sports bar and restaurant. The screens are a bit dated but you are able to view most games playing on any given day. It was a busy place. After sitting for 10 mins we were greeted but a waitress that had no introduction just came out and said what do you want to drink. Not a place to come if you are in a hurry. Apparently, they can only cook food for one table at a time. We got our table quickly, which was surprising, but then waited an hour for our food. The reason given was because they had a couple of big tables with large orders. I think they need more cooks that can multi-task. Our waitress kept telling us it was going to be just another 10 minutes or another three minutes. She said she asked the on-duty manager if he wanted to come over and talk to us and, apparently, he did not. He did however bring us our food and said he would take care of the bill. I have eaten at a lot of Gators and this was by far the most disappointing visit. There were 18 shrimp on the plate, a generous portion of fries and a side of delicious cole slaw all for 13 bucks. The service was excellent. This is a good sports bar for watching the big game. I've only had the appetizers here and they were really good. My only complaint is about their "ladies night." It is advertised that beer is only 50 cents for ladies on Thursdays. Good deal, right? Apparently it is only for crappy beer that comes in a little cup. Thia place was the spot to be about 7 years ago. Since then, the food has gotten watered down the wings smaller and the ceiling looks like it's about fall in. Usually come to Gators atleast 1 - 2 a week. On my last visit the service was atrocious. Our waitress Calie was terrible. The service was slow, multiple times she forgot food items like celery, honey mustard, ranch, etc. we asked for our wings a certain way and she failed. Then after ordering a large amount of food and drinking the short manager was incredibly rude. The music box stopped playing after we placed over $10.00 in it. My family and I have been going to Gators in Apopka for years now and most of the time is just a basic experience. Our server Wednesday night (13th) was Liz. She was so helpful and very prompt. We never had to ask for refills or try to look for her she was always attentive and personable. However, she was approached by another employee, presumably a manager, that spoke poorly to her right by our table. This was highly unprofessional and I truly felt bad for our server. My kids have been servers in the past and this is not an easy job. I hope this behaviour is not condoned on a regular basis, as it put a damper on our dining experience. Overall I had a good dinner with my family she was definitely good at her job. I will continue to dine here and ask for Liz as my server. read more
