If I could give this place zero stars i would! My girlfriend and I love going to Gator Dockside in Baldwin Park. When we saw one open up around the corner in Melbourne we were so excited! Finally we decide to go out to lunch at the Melbourne location. When we got there it was beautiful inside. It seemed bigger then the Baldwin park location. When we sat down we got our drinks right away. I had a mountain dew and my girlfriend had a water. We browsed the menu and our waitress took about twenty five minutes to come back to check up on us. We didn't mind we were deciding what we wanted for lunch. When we placed our order my girlfriend ordered a cocktail from the bar and we ordered our appetizer which was gator tail. We also put in our entree order since we decided what we wanted for lunch. We waited for about forty minutes wondering where the cocktail was. Our waitress came over and said "Not going to lie to you. I forgot the drink at the bar. I told the bartender to make a fresh one." We were a little upset now that forty minutes passed by and she just remembered the drink. We waited another thirty minutes for the drink to come out before my girlfriend walked over to the bar and talked to the bartender. The bartender told her that the drink order was never passed on to him. So after waiting for a hour and ten minutes with no drink or even the appetizer out yet I requested to talk to the manger. Once the manger came out to talk to us I advised him of what has been going on. The manager then told me it was the waitress last day and that he was sorry and "shouldn't of put her on the floor to wait on tables today because she doesn't care." He offered to pay for the whole bill and he can pack it to go for us. It was a nice gesture , but we were already upset and just wanted to leave. This has to be by far the WORST dinner experience Iv ever had! I would recommend the Orlando locations. It will be worth your drive so your not feeling invisible. Never will I step foot into the Melbourne location again even if it was the last place that had food. read more

The service was terrible. My server ( she wouldn't give her name. Big surprise there). Was horrible. I went there to watch a football game and she wanted me to pay the bill right in the middle of the game because her shift was up. After I paid, she gave me dirty looks. I complained to the manager Shawn. He didn't help the matter. There is a saying " I may forget what you said and what you did but I won't forget how you made me feel". Sunday 3:30 pm walk in to an active environment. Seated promptly and was able to view the 8 servers hanging out together for over 7 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. When she returned 6 minutes later with a cup of water and cup of sweet tea she was pleasant enough to ask if we wanted to start with appetizers. My companion ordered a cup of the chicken noodle soup. It arrived with a pack of crackers and was rated "really good" by my companion. Having not eaten at this location I decided to look into the $1/wing and discussed the flavors with the server. Since I was hangry at this point I ordered some cheese sticks (also $1/each) 24 minutes later still no food. Lots of workers standing around. I placed an order for 20 wings and seasoned fries. The sauces included Traditional, Teriyaki, Parmasian Garlic, and Carribean Jerk. At 28 minutes what a presume to be a manager stopped by to apologize informing is that there was a problem with how the wings were delivered where they were not thawed out enough to cook. At a little over 30 minutes the wings were delivered minus the fries and dipping sauces. At this point it looks like a colossal screw up on many levels. read more

Just another loud restaurant with numerous televisions and average food, if you like that sort of thing. My server was friendly but poorly trained, he was not aware of the beers available nor the sides offered with the meals. I understand this place just opened and there are bugs to be worked out but there seemed to be a lot of work to do - serving times for me and the surrounding tables were longer that they should have been and check-backs were inconsistent. Two roaming mangers, who both stopped at our table, touted how good the food was before we offered our opinion. The fries were great, but the onion petals were awful. They were poorly cooked with wet batter still caked next to the onion. Our sandwiches were okay, nothing special. Might try them again in a couple weeks to see of the bugs are worked out. read more

Been here about 6 times. Food takes over 30 minutes to come out EVERY TIME. Waitress was friendly. Food is over cooked and tastes like the fryers are using year old oil. Only reason we kept coming back is because it's close. Manager and most of the staff seemed too busy talking at the entrance counter to care about the very few customers in the place. read more

Our first time there and it wasn't anything that would make us go back. The burger we ordered medium and it came back over cooked to the point of burnt. The rest of the tables food was just ok. I really wanted to give this establishment a higher rating, as the area is in need of a great Sports Bar. However, I feel an unbiased opinion offers managment a great opportunity to make improvements where needed. I took my girlfriend, her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend to dinner last night to experience the "all you can eat" boneless wings and some trivia. I arrived first and asked if I could just sit in the bar area while I wait for the rest of my party. The hostess said "yes" and instructed me to seat myself. A few minutes later I was approached by the manager who quickly stated that the bar table I was sitting at was not free seating. I was a bit taken back as I had asked the hostess beforehand if it was ok. I then observed the manager having a quick conversation with the hostess (I can only assume to correct her about where I was seated). I understand that this is a new restuarant and the staff is new as well. However, I felt uncomfortable being corrected by managment as well as observing him correcting the staff. This type of acivity needs to be blind to the customer. I should have never been approached in this manner. (-2 stars for this activity) As I sat at the table waiting for my party to arrive, I was gettting dripped on by the leaking duct overhead. I took it upon myself to move to the table next to me to avoid the annoying drip. I was then approached by management again, which I promptly explained why I had moved. He explained that there was a lot of humidity in the air and they were aware of the problem. If the problem was already noted, they should have moved the table or blocked it from customer use. Leaving a table open below a known leaking ceiling is inexcusable. The atmosphere was good and the abundance of televisions is a plus. I think this sports bar has incredible potential to be a favorite local hangout on game days. The size of the bar area is a huge plus as there is an option for plentiful outdoor seating. Last, but certainly not least is the food. The boneless wings were dry and overcooked. The steak bite appetizers were incredibly good and deserve 5 stars. I would hightly recommend these for the pickiest of eaters. The length of time it took to replenish the "all you can eat" wings took too long as we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes between orders. My biggest complaint of the evening was when I received my bill. I cannot believe that this restuarant charges $1 for EACH 4oz. cup of ranch dressing. I did not see this listed on the menu, nor did the waitress mention that ranch dressing is an added charge. If this establishment wants to stay competative with other "Hot Wings" restaurants, they seriously need to re-think this policy. I literally payed for two full bottles of ranch dressing in one sitting, so please address this immediately. I will come back again. I've been going to different Gator's Dockside branches since they first opened in Jacksonville in 1991. Never disappointed in food or service at any location. I was over the moon to see this Gator's Dockside open last July, and have been a regular 2 - 3 times a week since then. I'm shocked to see some of the ridiculous reviews being posted here, and I'm wondering where these people regularly eat or if their taste buds haven't been spoiled by the crap coming from their mouths. We have never had a bad meal at this new Wickham Road location and I've tried just about everything on each of the menus. As for management and service, there has never been a time when one of the managers, Matt, Joe or Nick before his transfer, didn't stop by our table to check on us or just chat. The selection of waitstaff we think is superb and these young guys and gals all aim to please....every time. Want to see what a good bartender looks like? Come see Monica who sets a standard. Obviously I'm a big fan of Gators, but I will say that there have been one or two occasions when daily specials or BOGO's have been texted out to Rewards members, causing larger than usual lunch crowds and some food prep delays for management who didn't get the same texts. We were told of those delays on arrival so we could make a decision to stay or go. Maybe I'm more understanding or less demanding than others, so instant gratification isn't a necessity. In that regard, if you come in unannounced with a group of 25 or 30 people for lunch and expect 25 to 30 meals all at the same time, then demand separate checks....stop your complaining! It's us other customers that are being inconvenienced by your obnoxious attitude. My suggestion: GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. Kudos to the management and all staff...keep up the good work! read more

Blackened grouper sandwich was half cooked. You could smell the fish before it arrived at the table. Makes me believe the fish was spoiled. Needless to say I did not eat it. The server had the kitchen cook up another piece of grouper. I tried a little piece of the grouper and it was dry and overcooked. Service and food are awful. read more

went in and specifically requested a booth, they put me at a table, close to the bathroom??, and the kitchen, was a very poor 1st and last time spending my hrs earned money watching the door to the kitchen swing. Joe no I didn't contact the management I was so taken aback by actually requesting a booth at the front door and she completely ignored my request. Average decor, not overly comfortable or upscale, has plenty of tv's to watch games, lots of fried and unhealthy food choices. Service was average. Probably won't be back unless there is a game on or if I want to meet up with friends. Nothing really that sets this sports bar apart read more

My wife and I dropped in for lunch. They gutted the whole building and it looks great. My wife got the Phillysteak and it was delicious. I got the Gyro and it was not small in any way and tasted great. Service was good. This place is a little loud, but you must expect that being a family friendly sports bar. Had great happy hour hours and prices are affordable:). This place should do just fine considering the last three businesses that were there. Wife and I enjoyed it!! read more

Food was okay but our server was amazing. We have three kids and go out to dinner regularly and Sabrina was the most respectful person to my children. Most servers treat children as less than and she made them feel important. And she was super busy the entire time but still made sure she checked on us and made sure we didn't need anything. We really appreciate the service at the bar by Craig and Audrey, by far your best bartenders. However, we recently set at a table and had the best service ever by Nicole (Edge) . We had a large party on the patio, adults and children, on 8/20. Our servers were fantastic, Christina and Keys(sp?). They kept our orders straight and were on hand when we needed them. We never had to hunt them down. They put up with the little ones restlessness with a smile. Our food was amazing as always. I heard no complaints about anything. We stopped in this afternoon for lunch. The service was great but the half bar/half restaurant was overly noisy and we found the food lacking in flavor and creativity. I ordered a California Bacon Burger, medium. The server suggested that I order it"medium-well" because they cook the burgers by temperature not by redness. I went along with her suggestion, to my disappointment. The final burger had no flavor and was totally over cooked, leaving it dry and disappointing. The accompanying fries were limp and cold. They have only been open for three weeks, so I hope they get better. If they don't improve, they won't last long at this location either! read more

I was surprised on how fast we were sat with as busy as this place was. My food and my friends food was great. I would have to say one of the best parts of my experience at Gators Dockside was my service. She was so busy and still able to accommodate us and all of our questions. She knew almost every answer. We Love Gators Dockside and we Love Sid. She is so outgoing and funny and made us have a better experience. We will definitely be back for great food and great laughs. Five stars to all of you.
