My wife and I were staying at Warwick and decided to drop in for food and drinks. Didn't have extremely high expectations before coming in. Needless to say, when we walked in I was very impressed with the atmosphere/ambiance. We were greeted and sat immediately. Jeannie was our server and was incredible! Gave us some solid food recommendations. My wife and I weren't super hungry so we shared an order of calamari and the La Gattara pizza. Both were incredible but the pizza was definitely the winner. Great flavor and it was cooked to perfection. We are from Chicago where there's tons of great food and Gattara definitely didn't disappoint. Let's call it a leap of faith, I found this restaurant available for delivery and liked the looks of its pizza, which has happened a lot of times before. Unfortunately mostly every time, there is something that just doesn't click. Don't get me wrong, they were not bad pizzas, even the most well known pizza places here in Denver are good but there is something always something missing. Because of this reason, we ordered a simple Margherita . If it's good, even the simplest of pizzas will prove it. We've traveled to NYC just to taste their pizzas and for sure we were not disappointed. No need for fancy ingredients. I am happy to say that this pizza is DELICIOUS! It earns our 5 stars for Denver. We are looking forward to visit and taste the rest of the menu once the pandemic passes, be certain of that! Kudos to the owners for delivering a quality product regardless of the circumstances. I say this because we have seen quality go down for most of the places we have ordered delivery from. I actually have refrained from writing any reviews lately since during pandemic times, if I don't have anything good to say, I won't say anything. I spent my anniversary with my husband(we live in tx) in Denver because i adored the painting, at their bar, of the little black cat. We flew all the way out because i lost my kitty tragically a month prior to the trip, and the one month date from his passing fell on our anniversary. their hospitality & kindness will be something i remember forever. read more

This restaurant is one of the best places I've tried in years. The beet salad is flavorful and fresh. The pesto gnocchi was cooked perfectly, and I had it served with chicken. The chicken was great. My friend ordered risotto, which she loved. The following night, we tried our chances at an other restaurant. We were so sad it wasn't as great as this place, we went back here for our second night in Denver and ordered a pizza. The pizza (sausage, basil, Gorgonzola) was delicious. I will go back to this restaurant every time I'm up North now. One of my favorites of all time. read more

Delicious! At first the menu seemed a bit eclectic for me but as a hotel guest I found myself reviewing the options with a fresh eye. I'm glad I did! Room service recommended the octopus which was not really on my radar but I said okay, and wow wow! Who knew octopus was this tender, this flavorful... this good?! Featuring cous cous, and a little bit of a salad and some lovely sauce with a little bit of heat to it, it is a wonderful dish with many flavor profiles. Very good! The next day I went in for lunch in the dining area which was very nice. On the outside patio I had a glass of Chardonnay and a salad with some chicken added. It's a clean place and the decor is appealing-ish, but if it feels like a train station; this is likely because people are coming and going through the hotel lobby a lot. The food is very average and pricey...lasagna tastes frozen and is little in size. The pizza is pretty good, but not enough food for the price--in both cases, I left the restaurant hungry. With so many better Italian places in Denver, I don't see the need to go back. read more

We picked Gattara as our Sunday-after-church restaurant because we saw they had a brunch/breakfast buffet. Sadly, the buffet was closed by 12 p.m. So we ordered off the menu for lunch. The food was okay. The menu was limited. At 12:15 p.m. we were the only guests in the restaurant. They take online reservations -- convenient. what a gem, the restaurant can be deceiving, usually a restaurant attached to a hotel, comes with low grade food options, this place is a hidden gem. the cocktails are great try the espresso martini. also sit at the bar if you can and shoot the breeze with the bar tender his name is Brendan and he's a wealth of knowledge if you're looking for recommendations. you can't go wrong with the menu, from the pizzas to the short rib and the lamb, whatever you choose will leave you pleasantly surprised. I don't think this place will continue to be a hidden gem, it's only a matter of time. the food is excellent, and the service is inviting and cozy. you really can't go wrong here. read more

I do not want want to leave a review with such a low rating. Our server was wonderful. The hostess was friendly. The cocktails were on point. The bruschetta, risotto, chicken Parm, and seafood appetizer were all delicious. Dessert (la gattara) was meh-dry and less flavorful than it should be. The staff are really doing the most. However, upon arriving yesterday on an already record-breaking hot day, we were met with a broken air conditioner in the restaurant. They did have one fan going to try to cool air from the outside. We were fortunate to be sat right next to the floor fan. It was still obnoxiously warm indoors. The pizza oven is broken, but it is an impressive piece of decor in the space. The biggest issue though was that after the meal as we sat talking, we started to notice mice coming in and out of the fireplace. They would peek out and then run across the stonework towards the booth seating. We did alert our server who is going to let management know. That was rather alarming, and, of course, had we seen that prior to dining would have left for another spot. read more

Excellent! Right now everyone is quarantined so you can't dine in, but my boyfriend and I have been walking past this place for a couple months now and tonight we decided to try it. They still have the string lights set up outside and lovely decor inside. You have to walk into the hotel it's connected to right now to place an order, and the ladies at the front desk are so friendly. Our waiter was very eager to make sure we had everything we needed and offered us glasses of wine while we waited (btw you can wait by a very cute fireplace inside). We ordered two pizzas, which they all said were the best on the menu: the margherita and the elk pepperoni. They were both SO good. Really loved this experience and the food was great as well. Overall average. Mussels appetizer doesn't come with bread for sauce. When I asked for bread, I was told about the bread app and the charge. My carbona came out in a big clump of pasta and sauce that didn't separate easy. Short ribs were tender but average flavor. Caesar salad had a nice tangy flavor. We won't be back. read more

The cocktails were delicious with a gray craft cocktail menu to choose from, and the food was great, especially the sweet potato gnocchi which was recommended to us by our waitress. I have lived in the area for 6 years and have been pleasantly surprised and thankful for the growth (new eateries and watering holes) in Uptown. The big box stuff on the 16th Street Mall is dangerous at night and just not that good. I used to complain there isnt a dress-down classy restaurant with reliable Italian food. Gattara is the answer to my foodie-prayers. This place is GOOD, I have gone through the menu now and I was impressed with it all. The price is right. They did a fantastic job on the new interior. Well, that was a disappointment... We randomly chose this place for brunch and it was 100% ok. Nothing special at all. Nothing terrible but nothing to rave about either. The restaurant itself is laid out nicely and the staff is super nice but the food... meh... First off, the only reason I really chose this place other than how close it was to me was the pizza... I desperately wanted pizza for breakfast and their oven wasn't working so... no pizza:-( I am not a buffet person so I i didn't want the brunch bar, especially considering how few people were in there - I just had no clue how long the food was sitting there so we ordered from the regular breakfast menu which is very limited. Their prices are a bit much - their "Front Range Breakfast" (2 eggs, side, home fries and toast is $21!!!!!!!) - no f-ing way am I spending that much on eggs and bacon! So, no pizza... I ordered the breakfast burrito with mods - no pork green chili and add bacon. It was good, nothing spectacular though and they smothered it in salsa and sour cream which was a bit much. My BF ordered the pork cheek Benedict aNd he said it was ok - definitely nothing special either and he was super annoyed by the giant wasteful bowl of ketchup that came with it... maybe that's why they charge $22 for a Benedict?! I don't know... it was just a bit of an annoying experience all together and way too expensive for what it was. And FYI - they have bottomless mimosas as part of the brunch bar but you can order separately for $14... they're ok... pretty juicy but they are super on top of the refills. We had a bit of a wait plus the pizza fiasco so our server gave us a free dessert which was really nice - the oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich which was really good. Definitely super sweet but tasty nonetheless. Our service was really great but the food just left a lot to be desired, especially for what they are charging, I mean - we're not at the Ritz!! $21 for a basic breakfast I can make at home for probably $5? No f-ing way. Still wish I knew what the pizza tasted like though.... :-/ read more

I waited until the second time to review because I really wanted to like this place! I had heard amazing things about the pizza. Unfortunately I was disappointed a second time. Walking in there was only 1 other full table. Although it was a Wednesday at 630, it's also restaurant week so I thought it would get a little more busy. Not a great sign. We tried the Margherita pizza. The cheese wasn't melted and it just didn't have great flavor. We also ordered the meatball appetizer, again just mediocre. I may still go back and try an entre. There were two things that were keeping this at 3 stars (otherwise it would have fallen lower). 1. The service is wonderful. The staff is so kind and definitely make sure you're taken care of. 2.
