The food is amazing, we were there for dinner. A couple things that are a must try are the Burrata Napoletano and the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale. Also if the dessert option has the honey and chamomile cake and semifrieddo you can't leave without having some. But the star of this restaurant is Daniel! He was so friendly and personable. Great service here, I had the Burger and fries , they do a blend of Lamb and Beef. Food was delivered quickly and very well played for an Airport restaurant. Celebrated my daughter's birthday here based on her recommendation as she's been here before. The place was beautifully decorated with plenty of seating and a full bar. There was also outdoor seating and street parking. We shared a plate of oysters for our appetizer. I ordered the risotto with bone marrow and my daughter had the half chicken meal. Both were very flavorful and mouth watering. The waiter presented us a slice of cheese cake with berries for dessert. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I advised the restaurant on my reservation that my friend was in a wheelchair. Not only was this information ignored, but this building is almost completely inaccessible to the handicapped. The front door is surrounded by a large curb which blocks access. There's a rear door, but this is locked and blocked by furniture. There is a front patio at sidewalk level which gives access to the front door, but it is mostly blocked by large planters. The only way we could get in was to maneuver past a gap in the planters which was blocked by two tables and a large, free-standing umbrella. This is truly outrageous. I really should have rated this place at one star; however, we did enjoy the food once we fought our way inside. The restaurant was very quiet at 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday with less than 20% of the tables occupied. Maybe the other potential guests were not as determined as we were to find a way inside. Only one server was on duty, but he was gracious, efficient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. We decided to share two dishes, starting with the Burrata with heirloom tomatoes, spiced peaches, cucumber, crispy quinoa, sesame, and vanilla oil. This was beautifully presented and all of the components went well together. Hearty, toasted bread was provided, so the burrata was spread on that and we worked our way through the accompaniments. The only sour note was the complete lack of seasoning. Even just a bit of salt would have gone a long way to bring out the flavors of this dish. We finished with the Olathe Corn Risotto which was garnished with parmesan, tomatoes, and pancetta. This was a delicious dish. All of the components melded perfectly with each other. We enjoyed it a lot. The wine list is well-selected. I chose a Spanish red blend, the 2023 Vinicola del Priorat. It went well with our food selections. The room is elegant with a high ceiling, open kitchen, long bar, and large bakery. The many windows offer a beautiful view of the Platte Valley and downtown Denver. I had the Creole shrimp and grits, with pork belly and jerk spices. Plenty of shrimp, tons of flavor. A different take on this classic but it definitely impresses. One order of THE JERSEY GIRL Porchetta. House made porchetta, jack cheese, fried duck egg. Good stuff. CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST + STRAWBERRIES. Excellent I'm told but could use more strawberries. The first time I visited The Bindery was a few years ago at an event. The food bites at the event were delightful so I was excited to try it again with friends recently. On that outing I got the tuna niçoise salad. It was really good with fresh salmon. The potatoes in were seasoned well. Subsequent visits included my birthday where I got the oysters as an appetizer, the chicken as my main, and Basque cheesecake for dessert. On that trip my mom got the bone marrow risotto. The flavors were great! My recent visit was at lunch where I ordered the Peach wood smoked ham and white cheddar sandwich (caramelized onion, cheddar, frisée, honey mustard, sourdough). The sandwich was warm and comforting on a cold day. The fries were some of the best I've had. There is off street parking which is handy in the highlands, however it is confusing how to enter the building from the garage, I just walked out through the garage entrance. As we arrived were given a very friendly and welcoming greeting and seated promptly with an explanation of the options for the evening meal. We chose the special (RW) menu. The pork belly tender, tasty and savory with beans and a beautiful sauce. The diver scallop with pimento peppers and raspberries was refreshing and delicious. Main course of perfectly pan seared branzino with a roasted smashed Yukon gold potato amazing to look at and even better to eat. Savory brown butter bucatini with artichokes perfectly cooked. What was memorable -- the runner who delivered our courses opined on which ones were his personal favorites. That, along with very attentive service by the whole team made the meal memorable and special. The torte dessert was dry, yet still acceptable once the ice cream melted a bit. Came for a business lunch. I'm starting with parking as this is LoHi and the Bindery has reserved spots in the parking garage of the building. If you park on the street you'll need to pay. The service was good. The Bindery features an open kitchen and bar with all kinds of libations. I went for the salmon Niçoise salad and it was cooked skin on. It's definitely a nicer piece of fish than you get at other restaurants. The salad has potatoes, green beans, tomato, hard boiled egg, onion, capers, olives, greens and basil. I'm not sure if they were spread thin or what but she was sitting in the drink well for awhile--girl go help your bartender out while you wait for your drinks! Anyway, food was okay...I got the dirty chai waffles and the "dirty" part was coffee butter and it literally taste like coffee grounds in butter, not good. My husband got the latkes and said it was solid, definitely better than mine. My friend's duck hash was not what any of us expected (a whole duck leg?) it was overall a strange experience. I tried the Hangar Steak today and was pleasantly surprised by the complex flavors of the meat and the sides. The fire roasted greens were amazing. Service is ok, could be faster for airport setting but wasn't too bad either. Prices are ok for the location, most Main dishes running $20-30, steaks higher. Quiet space to grab a bite before traveling. I love fueling up and enjoying a nice meal with a view before the boarding chaos. Service was attentive, friendly and polite. My server forgot my coffee for the table and macchiato to go but she seemed new to serving. Finished my meal and just asked her to cancel the orders since my flight was about to board. Other than the forgotten coffee orders service was great. I ordered the Cobb salad with romaine, chicken breast, avocado, bacon, tomato, blue cheese, hard, boiled eggs, buttermilk blue cheese vinaigrette, and the other vinaigrette on the side. Wasn't a fan of the olive oil vinaigrette so got ranch on the side. The vinaigrette just seemed like olive oil only. Definitely wanted some light and fresh and the salad was delicious. I think I would definitely come back for the all day brunch and some other classics like their grilled cheese and tomato soup or a burger and they're popular fries. I love that they're Colorado burger versus Colorado lamb beef. I haven't had them before, but having many people recommend the binary fries for $10 with a shawarma spice mix. The jumbo crab Benedict, chorizo breakfast tacos or even avocado toast sounds super delicious. I would even come back for the Cajun shrimp and grits or their duck confit hash, chestnut honey baby back ribs, and cowgirl ribeye. So many options on the menu. Lots of comforting items and they also have an amazing raw bar menu with oysters, caviar, and ceviche. Wonderful views of terminal A at DEN. I was super excited to try this place for restaurant week! It's been on my list for a while and we finally made it in! Pro tip: there's a free (small) parking garage that has a few spots for the local restaurants right next door. Service was pleasant, though we were there early (5p on a Saturday) and service got a little scarce at the end. We had to flag our server down for the bill. We were there for the last dinner of restaurant week and I was nervous due to the mixed reviews I'd seen, but overall it was an a-ok experience. I got a cocktail to start (not a spring salad - an acidic balsamic and lemon number, was supposed to have strawberry but no evidence of that. Not bad but not as expected.) First course: I got the passionfruit habenero aguachile bay scallops, which were fine. I didn't have the issue with sandiness others reported. My mom thought her scallops were a bit fishy, but no illness afterward so no worries there. My dad throughly enjoyed his birria soup! Second course: my dad and I each got the pork shank, which was incredibly tender and delicious - loved the mole verde and Gigante beans! My mom got the seafood risotto and said it was good, though spicier than she was expecting (Calabrian chile snuck up on her!) Dessert: listed as a chocolate basque cheesecake was actually a thin regular basque cheesecake topped with chocolate chips, which I have to admit was disappointing. Seems like they may have run out, but we were the first sitting on the last night so... still a bummer. It wasn't overly sweet, the orange ginger compote was a nice touch. The tahini cake looked good but we were pretty full so that one only had a couple bites taken. My friends and I had brunch at the Bindery today and it was a great experience. Parking can definitely be a struggle in this area, but not impossible. I will definitely be back on a sunny day, because the large windows in this restaurant seems like it would make the ambiance bright and airy. Food 5/5 I ordered the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were flavorful and delicious, make sure to get it with both the red and green sauce. I ordered these with scrambled eggs, just as a preference and it was tasty! We also had the avocado bread, I think the cardamom roll, and the fruit custard pastry-- all were delicious in their own right. Drinks 4.5/5 The matcha latte was beautiful but a little grainy, I think this was most likely because the water was a little too hot for the matcha when it was mixed, however, it still tasted pretty decent. Service 4.5/5 Our server and food runners were super nice, however, I think we came at a very busy time so we had to wait a bit for our drinks and for our food orders. Decided to check out the Bindery for brunch with some friends recently and it was hopping. (I definitely recommend making reservations, and doing so sufficiently in advance). We managed to sit outside and enjoy one of those unseasonable warm winter days that are characteristically Denver; the patio space is fairly large and pretty nice (even with its vantage point of I-25). The game plan was to order a dutch baby, so we got that in right away given the advertised wait time. Between the three of us, we got the Sweet Dutch Baby, the Beet Cured Smoked Salmon Latke, and the Uova Alla Flamenca. Our server indicated this would be a good amount of food for the table, as we intended to share. (I do think that was accurate given the dutch baby, but the portion sizes of the other items were not very large). The Brunch items run ~$20 and up, so a bit of a spendier option considering what you're getting. The food arrived very quickly (even the dutch baby); it beat out the beverage I had ordered as well, which was a little unfortunate. We very much enjoyed the latke dish, which was beautifully presented and flavorful. The eggs and grits were quite tasty too, albeit a little lighter than expected on the chorizo. The dutch baby, however, was a let down. I had read that the sweet one was a little bland, which I had found confusing given the toppings listed, but when it arrived, the reason for that became clear. There were some blueberries and vanilla cream, but it was a very thick custard-like dish, unlike the puffed (thinner) dutch babies that I am used to. (In total it was ~2 inches of eggy custard, that was desperate for a pinch of salt and cinnamon/nutmeg, really anything.) So that said, I would not recommend that particular dish. I think the experience on the whole was good, and I would really be interested in coming back for their weekday pasta & wine special with friends. But I wasn't overly enthusiastic either. Another great eatery in a really cool part of Denver where residential meets business, meets great food spots. Every place I ate was phenomenal! Came in to meet a work friend for a meeting over breakfast. I had the spicy breakfast burrito...it was one of the best bburritos of my life. He was lovely, kept a great pace of the meal, funny and had good recommendations. The lamp on each table was a nice touch. We had the honey and thyme ribs to start. This could be a main with how many ribs they gave you!! My husband and I both agreed this was probably the highlight of the meal. Next we had the Spanish octopus with couscous and a spicy squash tomato sauce. The octopus was good but the thicker parts of the tentacle was kinda gross to me - texture wise. The thinner parts towards the end were way better. For the mains we had the spinach and cheese mezzanine and the pumpkin agnolini. Both pastas were very good and tasty but there was a thick layer of oil in each dish. Like my husbands spinach was literally just sitting in oil, which grossed him out and hurt his stomach. We went here for brunch last weekend. The space is beautiful, and the service was friendly. We started with the burrata, which was amazing. There was bread and puff pastry with delicious goat cheese and leeks! I got the bfast carbonara (genius), my hubs got the Reuben (so good) and my gf got the latke. We got a couple of bottles of rose also. Unfortunately, service was extremely slow. I don't know that it was our server's fault, or the kitchen was in the weeds, or if also restaurant week? Everything took forever. Our first bottle of rose was not chilled and it seemed surprising that we wanted the second bottle chilled. Service was a bit of an issue. When the host stopped by to check on us we expressed that it was taking a while to get our entrees. He apologized and told us he would look into it. He came back a bit later and told us they were working on our food and dropped off a rather sad and stale looking pastry that would not likely have been selected by a customer from the case and probably tossed at the end of the day. While we initially thought it was a nice gesture, the longer we stared at it on table the more we realized it was a thought he should have thought twice about. As for the food, my husband was disappointed in the Hestan which was a second choice because they were out of the protein and caramelized onions for his first choice. We arrived at 12:15 for our 12:30 reservation on a Sunday but weren't sat down until 12:50, however once sat our server was really nice and friendly! We went while visiting Denver. They were able to seat us (a table of 4) immediately although we didn't have a reservation. Upon walking in it felt like walking into a French bakery with a lineup of different pastries. When we were sat, it took at least 10 minutes before anyone approached us to even bring water to the table to fill our glasses. Our table ordered a few drinks as well, which took an additional 15 minutes before they got to the table. We had ordered the Cinnamon Crunch Espresso Martini, which was the highlight of our brunch. Our waiter often disappeared for long periods of time as well. We spent a total of 1.5 hours and saw our waiter no more than 4 times. Other tables even got up and went to the front desk just to try to pay. When we were brought our plates, we had to ask for utensils and one of the plates even had slices of avocado stuck to the bottom (none of our meals had avocado in it). I had the Duck Hash (as pictured), which was disappointing to say the least. The Duck was overcooked and the rest of the dish was underwhelming for the price. My wife had the Breakfast Carbonara and it was very good. The chai waffles that was ordered by our friend was also very good. However, the final dish our table had ordered (hangar steak and eggs) was barely edible. The meat was charred and felt like was cooked even past Well Done even though it was ordered Medium. Per couple, with one drink each, we spent around $100, which was not worth the price tag for the meals we got. Service was extremely slow, and the food was mediocre. read more
