Had Christmas Eve dinner here was wonderful and we had amazing service. Food was delicious and the variety at the salad bar was great. It's about 70 bucks for adults and about 45 for children. The cocktails are really made very well. Especially the mojito and the caipirinha. Great ambiance and scenery. I remember when this place was another restaurant but Gauchos Do sol is much better. Will come back to partake in happy hour next.

This place was amazing, not crowded like Chamba, the staff was just amazing, they was always there and the place wasnt huge which may it even better. Kudos to the shades rising up when the sun is setting that was dope!!!

My family and I just visited Gauchos for a birthday celebration, we went for dinner. It's about $70 per person, all you can eat! The staff is amazing, super attentive, friendly and respectful! The place is beautifully designed and decorated, it's great for big parties. The different types of meat were incredible! So tasty, each of its own, super tender, we tried beef, lamb, chicken and pork, EVERYTHING was delicious! They have a great selection of beef, this was my personal favorite, to be exact the Gaucho meat so flavorful with the perfect amount of fat that just melts in your mouth! The salad bar is impressive! They even have different types of carpaccio. It's a nice place to go celebrate, I'm sure we'll be back!

Probably my favorite Brazilian steakhouse in Houston! Quick hits: - Classy vibe without being stuffy - Very friendly and attentive service - A+ salad bar/buffet selection -Meat selection was diverse, and they were good about coming by quickly and often; picanha is always my fave -Their Brazilian lemonade is so good if you are abstaining from alcohol; it has condensed milk and ginger and is delicious! -Lots of people speaking Portuguese last time I was there (maybe a good sign ex pats come here?)

Aneena: Pookie took me here for our anniversary! It was phenomenal. The meat kept coming and I kept eating it all. There was this one special cut of meat that I forgot the name of but it melted in my mouth immediately. Everything I ate tasted delicious, the service was great! I had never been to a restaurant like this before, where you have skewers of meat cut in front of you when you propped your table sign up. As a lover of dim lighting, this place definitely hit the spot. It's a great place for date night and I highly recommend it! Dillon: This place is ludicrously good. Ludicrously expensive as well, but definitely worth it. Make sure to not eat all day before you come, you'll want to be able to eat as much as possible. The steak is all wonderful, make sure you ask for the name of whichever one they give you, because you might not be able to find the same one twice. Try not to fill up on the salad, or the chicken, or the shrimp. The grilled pineapples definitely worth trying for dessert though. The place was very well done too, strange people definitely frequent Guacho's, but they don't take away from the atmosphere.

We were able to snag a parking space in the nearby shopping strip, but they do have valet. The day we went, the elevators in front wasn't working so they directed us around to the back elevators. Overall, a great option if you want a all you can eat Brazilian meats- they also have good options in the salad bar that's included in the price (variety of cheeses, bacon, etc and even lobster bisque soup). I tried a bit of all their steak options and everything was flavored nicely. Loved the grilled pineapple with cinnamon coating, oh and there's refills on the Brazilian lemonade- it was delish! Service was exceptional, everyone came to check on us every so often. They are on the houston restaurant weeks list! Recommend!

After the disappointing meal the other day we had to compensate with something good. We go to Sweet Paris all the time and I've seen this place a lot but never been. Well tonight we bit the bullet and splurged. Although we tried pacing ourselves we couldn't. They have lobster bisque at the salad bar. And a mountain of bacon with something sweet and spicy on it. Enjoyed the plantain chips and banana desert with candied walnuts on it. The cheesy bread is our Achilles heel. And we devoured it despite know that this would hinder our ability to break even on the meat. The grilled shrimp was fresh and crunchy. We had to ask for a few items like the bacon wrapped jalapeño which was awesome. The Parmesan pork was a bit dry. The chicken wings is actually just drum sticks. The beef ribs were dry as were the pork ribs. But the rib eye was tender as was most of the other meats. The Brazilian pork tasted like polska kielbasa. The pineapple has cinnamon on the outside. The place was not crowded on a Saturday night. The service was awesome. They were always checking on us. Right when I was thinking this would be my last piece of meat, I got a sign from god. The server lifted the meat sauce dripping tray/catcher and my flipper (which was underneath it) was gone. I think it was stuck to the bottom of his tray. So yeah time to stop. Parking - I think you can park anywhere in that strip center or even across the street because the signs say parking is for highland village and I think this is part of highland village. So we skipped the valet and parked across the street near pottery barn. There's also some street parking across the street on Drexel now.

Brazilian steakhouse located in Highland Village... Gourmet salad area, and cocktail lounge. Excellent table service... 15 different cuts of meat well flavored... Traditional sides to pair with your meat selection... live DJ with great up to date sounds... It's a whole vibe, Brazilian steakhouse!!!

Found this place on a work trip and my oh my, it's a fabulous find!! Excellent food, excellent service. Super clean restaurant and restrooms. Staff is great and attentive. $59.50 gets you all you can eat of meat and veggies. There is the self service veggie bar and all kinds of steak that they bring around. Unbeknownst to me, you cannot take your leftovers with you. I shouldn't have taken so much ... and now I'm full like its Thanksgiving. The self service bar is the "first course" and it's more than just veggies. There is CANDIED BACON on that bar!!! I could have eaten the whole platter. Super yum! Lots of great food choices on the bar as well as what they bring around. I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of the food is naturally gluten free. The bread they bring around, the "cheese bread" is gluten free. Corn bread sticks... gluten free. I could tell the veggies on the bar were gluten free. Some had yum sauce, thickened with corn meal, not wheat flour. I'm in love with the chefs All the steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. When they bring the steak around, you ask them for how you like it (such as medium or medium rare) and they choose the spot on the steak that most closely matches your request. I'll be back, I didn't get a lot of photos. Super good and worth a visit!

Oh my goodness I've been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! Gauchos Do Sul has been open for roughly a few weeks and it is a wonderful restaurant located on the third story building overlooking Westheimer in Highland Village. A wonderful experience and probably the best takeaway besides the food is the excellent service here. I absolutely love Brazilian steakhouses and this one did not disappoint. Every meat that came by the table was delicious and enjoyed. The pichana was my favorite! They have a good sized salad bar with a whole plate of bacon!! What more could you ask for?? I loved how attentive the servers were and the management team was on point! A very classy place offering great food with a view. I can't wait to come back!

We had a reservation for 3 at 6:45 PM and were seated promptly with no issues. Chama has a reputation for being the best Brazilian steakhouse in Houston, and I have always considered it as such. The service is phenomenal and consistent, unlike other AYCE churrascarias that do a big wave of meat up front and then ignore your table. However, Chama has changed significantly since the last time I was here a few years ago. Most noticeably, the price has gone up significantly. I don't blame them with the beef price increase in the US but it is a hefty tag. Secondly, several dishes are basically upon-request. The lobster bisque, for example, is no longer self-service. Additionally, sausage and some meats come very rarely and should be asked for so they can be prepared. Salad bar: I'd say relatively standard, I usually load up on the salmon, a piece of pork belly, and some asparagus and cheeses to reset meat flavors. Overall, for the popular cuts, I tried to get a bit of each. My general ratings are as follows, but I would emphasize that relative to other spots they are great cuts in general. New York Strip (3/5): Incredibly buttery almost to the point of oily. Rack of lamb (4.5/5): Deliciously gamey, very tender Picanha (5/5): The house special and well deserved; extremely tender and flavorful. Bottom sirloin (3.5/5): Slightly less heavy than the NY Strip but overall wouldn't take too much over the better cuts. Ribeye (4.5/5): Right behind the picanha in terms of tender meats. Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon (2.5-4.5/5): I had one piece that was actually pretty tough, and another that was perfect. Don't let it sit too long I guess. Upon request (did not come around in the first ~hour): Shrimp (4/5): Quite salty, but really good mix in flavors Costela (Beef rib) (5/5): Fatty, delicious flavors, really tender. Don't let it get cold. Sausage (2/5): Too fatty for me but it was enjoyed by others I was with. Other things that came around rarely - polenta, the fried cheese they can put honey on, and some other sides. But, everything will come if you ask. Lastly, their flan is very rich and sharable and we got it to-go after getting stuffed (for a birthday). Shoutout to our fantastic waitress Romy for being attentive to allergies and getting us the cuts we really wanted. Chama is definitely still a fantastic spot to celebrate something or really indulge. I've got to be careful with cholesterol and reset afterwards though.

I prefer my steaks medium rare, and the meat was incredibly tender. My favorites were the top sirloin, lamb chops, and filet mignon. The service was phenomenal. They don't play the usual games that many Brazilian steakhouses do by bringing out the cheaper cuts first to fill you up. Instead, they consistently walk around serving a wide variety of meats throughout the meal, which really elevated the experience. Honestly, the only thing holding this restaurant back is the interior design and exterior appearance. I can barely notice the restaurant while driving by because the outside signage and overall presentation don't stand out. Meanwhile, Fogo de Chão (in Katy for example) catches attention immediately because the building and interior feel upscale and polished. Avenida seriously has better meat quality in my opinion, but the restaurant could benefit greatly from renovating the interior, improving the lighting, and creating a more modern and inviting romantic vibe. For two people, we ordered: 2x Coxinha (3.5/5): While the chicken is a tad dry, it's complimented well by the creamy sauce 1x Kibe (3/5): Reminded me of a meatball crossed with a falafel, like something you'd order on a skewer. Not too grainy and a nice smoky flavor. 1x Risole de Camarao (4.5/5): I thought this was a better version of the Coxinha. The shrimp flavor really permeates and reminds you of a shrimp risotto in a single bite. Churrasco Gaucho (16oz) (2/5): We decided to get this to sample all of the meats. Unfortunately I thought everything was really salty. Maybe it's characteristic of the Brazilian grilling style, because the smoky flavors did come through, but it just felt too salty for me on everything. Honestly maybe it just needed some kind of vegetable besides beans to help offset. Whatever their chili sauce is (5/5): I have no idea what this is but it reminds me of mashed up bird eye chili sauce..it's really good. Sprinkle it on everything. Helps with the saltiness of things.
