Unanimous 5 stars? Really? After using Gava's Rooter today I can definitely confirm 5 stars is right! Long story short my kitchen sink was messed up and leaking from multiple places in the piping/joints. I tried, but I couldn't fix it myself. I called Greg at 10AM this morning and as of 1PM this afternoon the sink is good as new. Greg is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and had a trustworthiness in his words. He sent Armando out within 30mins to inspect the problem for FREE. Armando relayed the findings to Greg who called me back with the diagnosis, solution and cost. I just bought a house and my house was clogged so we call a plumber and he say he couldn't unclogged it because I didn't have a clean out. So I was refer to Greg and came right away he use a 150 footer snake and unclogged it. the other plumber wanted to charge me 2ooo to add a clean out. When I told him I didn't have the funds right now he say I be stuck. Then Greg hook it up and say is best if u add a clean out. My solar water heater broke and called multiple plumbing companies. A couple of them had me waiting for an entire day just to tell me they wouldn't make it for the day, other where charging me just come see the problem, others did not know what was going on with the water heater. Goodness gracious what a life lifesaver thanks Greg! .... I originally called the drain dudes to come and clean out my bathroom sink... The tech that came out told me that I needed to replace my whole sewer line. I was told that I couldn't use my bathroom or kitchen sink until the line was replaced. I called Gavas for a 2nd estimate. Greg came over promptly ..very polite man, after explaning the issue he gave me advice as to what repairs were necessary right now and what could wait. Turns out I could use bathroom and kitchen! He beat their quote and actually unclogged the drain that I needed unclogged in the first place. Now he agreeded with the other plumbers; in that the main sewer line needed to be replaced soon. But not then and there. One of the biggest difference being that Greg actually came and fixed my drain. While he was rooting my drain he accidently broke the p trap.... he said ,dont worry I'll replace it with heavy duty abs plastic you'll never need to worry about any plumber rooting your sink drain again!... I called Gava's Rooter because of their high Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, I don't share the same opinion. Gava's was able to fix my broken faucet and main water valve. I do feel they charged a premium for the visit also. However, the reason I'm giving them only two stars is because i was told that they would arrive by 3:45 and they eventually showed up at 5:45. While I was waiting for them, I called the office intermittently. I kept being promised different arrival times, but the plumber didn't show up until two hours later. I wanted to share my experience with Greg. It was a Sunday morning and I was expecting about 20 people over to my newly purchased home. My wife calls me to tell me that that all toilets are plugged including in the back guesthouse. It turns out that my main was clogged. After reaching out to numerous plumbers and hearing excuses such as I'm out of town, I can't make it today, I don't have that equipment etc.. Greg answers and says "no problem I'm right up the street and should be there In 15 minutes." He gets there and immediately walks the property to inspect. He asked very good questions that I couldn't answer as I don't have that much history in the home. My home has a very large lot and the clean out was towards the back of the property. Greg ran his 150' snake and said let's hope this gets the job done. He seemed concerned as if it was his own home. Towards the end of the snake is when we finally got to the problem he and I were both relieved as I was expecting company very soon. He proceeded to put back all his equipment and surely I was thinking I was in the perfect situation to get gouged price was as it was an emergency and it was a Sunday. We had a re-occurring clog event in our guest bathroom. After getting two quotes from separate plumbers, Greg from Gavas Rooter gave me a alternative approach that was FAR LESS intrusive, with no demolition as prescribed by the others. His solution was to clear the clog by digging from the outside (we are on a concrete slab), and replacing the trap and pipe that actually was clogged. Not only has this solution worked, it saved us from breaking open the walls as advised by the other two plumbers, it also saved me approximately $1,500.00.
