Stopped by after dinner to the Birdcage Lounge for drinks when they were showing RuPaul's drag race…read moreon the multiple screens. We ended up staying there when the DJ started his set. Shout out to bartender Dee for making us some shots and cocktails that we enjoyed. (Tonight, the bar was stocked low on some of the liquor to make the specialty cocktails I wanted to try; however, she mixed other drinks that were still refreshing.) The music was great and the decor/atmosphere was fun. There aren't very many gay bars left in Orange County with a dance floor, so it's nice to support places such as this. Note that the bathroom in the corner of the Birdcage Lounge is nicer than the one by the dance area. Overall, a fun Friday night!

If you like to play pool Thursdays are pool nights. Pricing is fair and even if you don't go on Thursday there are a lot of people that like playing pool there they even have a white board where people put there names to play pool next great system. Drinks are good could not get a pina colada there but did get a tequila sunset. Prices are good.

Probably lost to Covid was the popcorn machine in the corner, the giant sack of pretzels. There was some money spent on the bar to give it a little more modern feel. There used to be a tamale guy that would come through and had memories of a dude that would sit at the bar with a machete. Staff was friendly and still appreciate the chill vibe inside.

NOTE: You should always walk back out after 30 secs to 1-min and watch your car and then poke your head out periodically to check on it. Don't park in a cluster of cars. Park in an open area and under a light so there can be no excuses for them checking out your car and door handles. I'm not paranoid, RING and crime reports for the area is not good. With that said, this place is a gem in a mine field. The folks running the place bartenders etc are the cats meow and the participating customers welcome one and all! It is one of my favorite places to visit. I believe they even updated their kitchen but I can't make claim to the food bcuz I haven't eaten there since it's been updated. This place is located at Shark Club on Friday nights. If you go straight to the entrance, they will…read morecharge you valet parking which I believe is $5. If you drive a little bit past shark club there is a little street there where you can usually find parking if you're early enough. Admission is usually free if you come before 10PM and sign up for the guest list, either on their website or Facebook or one of their other avenues. When you're on the texting or email list, they will usually text or email you an offer for free admission before 10PM. At around 9-9:30PM, they usually have a drag show, and on the times I went it was hosted by Adore Delano, the drag persona of the American Idol contestant and the guy that's going to be on/is on RuPaul's drag race. During the show you will see plenty of guys dressed in drag, I believe lip syncing to various songs, and you will hear Adore's jokes and entertainment. I found the show to actually be pretty good and entertaining, and my friends and I sometimes just come to see the show and not really dance. Afterwards, there is an area to relax and talk in and then there is the dance floor. The relaxing room has a mini bar/stand and people tend to smoke there. The dance floor itself is pretty spacious considering it is in OC and is offering a pretty crowded gay night. The people there are a mixed bag, I felt there were a lot more girls there than at other gay nights/clubs and it seemed there were some straight guys there too... I'm guessing trying to hit on the girls. The dance floor usually has a few go-go dancers and on themed nights there are sometimes drag performances and other dancers there. The stage has various lighting effects from the screen and I believe there was some sort of fogging device. The bar I felt was lacking, especially on their drink specials. I had one of their $5 drink specials before and it tasted super watered down and weak to me. I felt the pricing on the other drinks were also pretty high, especially considering the drink specials VLVT has (though I didn't do a side by side comparison or anything). Overall the drag show is pretty awesome, the crowd is okay and the dance floor is nice for being in OC.

First of the night for St Paddy Day. Which started off as just a drink lead to a night of bar…read morehopping. It's been years since I was last here with friends. A small dive bars right on the corner of Broadway and of course Falcon. There used to be an Italian restaurant next door but it's closed now. It's in a residential neighborhood so be courteous when you're outside. We thought it would have been quite busy as it a drinking holiday but when we walked in, there were maybe 8 people or so. The place isn't big. Bar counter on one side and a couple of hi tops table along the other wall. Doubt there's room for dancing when it's packed but I'm sure they'll make it work. The bartender working St Paddy's night was the sweetest. Very friendly which is always a major plus. We sat along the bar which was nice. Who ever was in charge of the music that night was great. A fun selection of upbeat music which the videos were also showing. You don't want to show up somewhere and the music sucks. Overall, it a fun little neighborhood dive bar. It seemed more like it was utilized with regulars as everyone seemed to know each other. I'm sure it picked up later on from when we arrived. But a fun little place for a drink. It's street parking if you're visiting.

Also the bartender was really nice, he kept checking up on us and refilling my club soda. He was a cool guy!
