This is my third time at this bar and I gotta say, I had the smoothest old fashion by Anthony and one of the most interesting Oaxacan old fashions I've tasted crafted by Steven (most places do not know how to execute this). Thank you Tin Lizzie for a memorable night.

Loved this spot! Was recommended by a family member and it didn't disappoint! Very cute and cozy and welcoming to everyone! Bartender was so nice and made my drinks so good! Went during the week and it still was busy but at the same time calm enough to hang out and relax. Can't wait to go back!

The closest gay bar to us in Costa Mesa! Finally made it out during Pride 2022. There was a great crowd present but still enough room to not feel claustrophobic and still be able to claim a space. Music is great and adds to the vibe. Service is quick. Bartender was kind and efficient. Ordered and the drinks were made quickly with a beautiful amount of alcohol. Granted we ordered tequila soda with lime (Epsolon tequila). Quick cocktail made quickly. $11 each. Pricing isn't bad based on their pours. Can't wait to frequent this bar more often.

The old school red leather knee bump wall, nostalgic.

Came here with my mom and didn't know it's a gay bar, we saw an open sign and came in to be accepted and warmly welcomed. Recently brought my boyfriend who was looking for a mellow place off the beaten path yet close to the freeway. The decor is cute and funky with the padded knee pads, neutral bathrooms and an outdoor patio. Music is on point too!!

Specifically, the 'Build your Own' option set up with swiss cheese and mushrooms and an egg. It's a cracking (excuse the unshelled pun) good lunch by any standard, and now I'm traveling less I still drop by Floe occasionally to partake and reminisce over lunch. I still recommend the above burger highly, but temporarily I've changed my menu choice. Their friendly bartender and server recently upsold me to their current special burger instead... and it's even better. The Beso Burger, created by a chef whose name I don't recall but who apparently is TV-famous, is the reason this review is getting written when normally I wouldn't take the time for this kind of location. Put simply, it's a must-try. It comes as a whole plate, with fries and a milkshake designed specifically for dipping them in. The whole thing is beautifully put together, and everything complements everything else. It's an experience. Word to the wise: After trying both the single and the double burger, my pick is the single. Better balance across the meal, and the second slab of meat makes the burger gigantic and tougher to eat without a knife and fork - which in itself would be wrong and ruin the experience. The bottom of my bun held fine on the single but disintegrated before I could finish devouring the double, and my afternoon food lethargy was definitely amplified by the latter too. Productivity... not so good. The location is exactly what you'd expect from a hotel bar, with nice lighting, plenty of seating and 3hr parking validation when you stop by for food so there's no rush to eat except your own work schedule. I did notice it was a bit hot inside on a recent visit... maybe their AC was broken. Don't sleep on this burger, I think they said it's only available through September...

Nothing crazy but the wings were definitely the hit. The service is super friendly and attentive as most hotel restaurants are. But the seating area is big and they also have a full bar! I was hesitant at first because I had never really tried Cuban food before, but I'm so glad we took a chance! I ordered the El Churrasco based on the staff's recommendation, and it was delicious. The steak tasted incredibly fresh, and everything came together as the perfect savory and satisfying meal. The atmosphere has a dark, tropical island vibe, with plenty of outdoor seating. We ended up sitting inside in one of the booths, which was very comfortable. They also offer happy hour from around 3-7 p.m. daily, although the happy-hour specials are only available at the high-top tables. The only issue we had was that our server cleared the wrong plate without asking. He left the empty plate that I was finished with on the table, but took away the plate with my corn on the cob that was only halfway eaten. I'm not sure why he chose that plate, but I wish he had asked whether we were finished before taking it away and throwing out food we were still eating. Other than that, we really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great sit-down meal at The LAB!

When I said "Bar" and "Santa Ana" in the Yelp search - of course it said "Club 616" in the first…read morespot - OF COURSE IT SAID 616!!! I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey.
