We stopped here yesterday for a late lunch. I had the Ferrari and it was spectacular! I'm glad I don't live closer or I'd eat here every day. For the side I had the cole slaw and it was different, sort of tart and sweet at the same time. I'm not sure I've had slaw like that before. I'll try the potato salad next time perhaps. The menu is varied so there will be something for everyone. They are only open for lunch but it's worth the effort to make the journey. read more

The only place to eat in Quilcene. The motoring theme is past cute, when you see the vintage gas pumps you are in the right place. What initially hooked me was the smoked turkey breast I smelled smoking on the deck. It was a staple in my fridge, kept my football playing son at the top of his game. But the sandwiches are the stars here. All named after cars, even the Prius ... meatless of course, is delicious. Don't expect elk burgers available everyday, but grab one if they got elk. Such a great find. Yelp reviewers do not disappoint. I really wanted fish&chips, but the reviews talked about the pulled pork so glowingly. I had to go for the "best" sandwich on the menu. I really am surprised to say this, but I think it was the best BBQ ever! The meat was great, juicy,tender, and well seasoned. The ciabatta bun was toasted and oh so good. This new spot in Quilcene across from the Community Center in an old filling station has a garage theme to its menu. The place is cheery, clean, and everything is made to order. I was very impressed by the selection which included a lovely vegetarian sandwich among the meatier optiions. I sat on the deck overlooking the greenery and away from the noise of the highway. They place was bustling with locals and visitors. The vibe is casual but very fresh. They just recently opened but I tell you I will be back. The sandwich was truly one of the best I have had in years, it was served on a pizza plate with a dill pickle and it was a great taste. It was made with care and love. It looks like they are going to specialize in breakfast and lunch with hours from 8-3 each day. There are take out options, plenty of seating and very fresh tasty ingredients used. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and nice decor. They didn't seem to be pressured even though the place was pretty full on a Friday at lunch time and a table to older ladies who were all having lunch together. I will be back. It's not that often I inquire about the details leaving to write up a review but this place warranted it. I travel back and forth to Port Townsend and Port Angeles from Olympia a lot and this has turned into one of my favorite stops. I usually have a turkey sandwich with guac and the combo is perfect. I did come in the other day with a coworker and our food took about 30 minutes after we ordered it. They do have warning signs since everything is made fresh but we were late for our meeting which is not the best thing. I have brought so many people here and will continue to do so! read more

After reading the previous reviews, we had to try this place. We are not in this area very often so wanted to make a point of checking it out. Wow, the reviews were spot on. We had the pulled pork with coleslaw and the turkey sandwich with potato salad. Probably the best pulled pork and turkey sandwiches we have ever had. My husband loves sandwiches (me? Not so much) and we were so impressed. It was a nice day and we sat on the deck, among the pots of peppers and herbs and hummingbirds buzzing by our heads. Wonderful day. read more

I am not a sandwich guy. I love a good Jewish deli. This is not one of those. However, the Pastrami, which they nostalgically called the 'Willys' is simply perfection. I have also had the pulled BBQ pork, appropriately called the 'Hemi'. My family also likes the Prius and the Police Interceptor (a BLT with thick bacon and nice tomatoes. We just moved to Brinnon, WA from Encinitas, CA. This sandwich deli is the best place for miles and miles. The owners Larry and Debbie, always call me by name when I walk in. Great place to stop after a hike in the Olympic National Forest! Clean bathrooms!!!! The food is good and on a sunny day you can sit outside and enjoy the smell of their basil plants. Only complaint is that they close too early -- too early for me to eat there after my hike recently. read more

After spending sun bathing on water near by, we found this place to have lunch. And it was the best choice of the day and happy to find such place in a small town. Workers (and I believe one of them was the owner?) at restaurant are all very friendly and love their naming on the menu. I had "F150" - char ground with cheese and veggie and it really tasted good. Tried a bite of house's favorite "Hemi" - pulled pork and that was delicious, too. Inside of the restaurant is very clean and fun matching colors of seats. We just stopped at this little place and had one of the best sandwiches of our lives! We chose to share the Ferrari, which is a traditional Italian sub. Every component, from the bread, to the generous helping of Italian meats and the lightly dressed greens was perfect! And there was room in front for us to pull up in our RV. We are on our way to Sequim and we will be stopping there on our way back. Not sharing next time! Oh and the potato salad was also delicious! read more

Wow is all I can say. Nicest folks under the sun that run the place. Upon the recommendation of the owners and other Patrons, my associate and I both ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich, accompanied by your choice of slaw, chips or homemade potato salad. I'd planned on choosing slaw, as I love it on a pulled pork sandwich, however the owners told me they already put a dab of slaw on as standard practice, so I ordered the potato salad. Food came quickly, however it was late in the afternoon and they were closing soon, so that may have had something to do with the expedited service! Long story not so short, the sandwich was incredible, which is saying something coming from me, as I fancy myself a pretty fair smoker of meats myself and tend to be rather critical of the cost and quality of many BBQ joints. Well, this one didn't leave me bragging that mine was better. Meat had a great smoke flavor and the Porter beer braising and homemade bbq sauce was the BOMB! OMG.. we stopped in just as they were closing on Saturday it was our first time there , new to the area... they were very gracious inviting us in ,giving us samples of their freshly smoked cheese and pork. The Gearhead Deli was the perfect stop on the way home from summer camp, or really any other day. The service was fun, kind and efficient. The space was clean and bright. The BLT was the best I've ever eaten. My favorite part of the visit was the beautiful outdoor park setting that was pet friendly. The garden was full of sun and shade and colorful flowers in bloom. Came here May 22 for a quick sandwich to go. I had to wait awhile for it because it was peak lunch hour and they also take their time. I recommend calling ahead if you're in a rush like I was as they are in small town mode .
