Wow, was out in Quilcene on business and my partner and I were ready for a late lunch. I used good old yelp to find us a meal. After reading a couple of things on their menu we were "in". We pulled in about 10 minutes before close with out knowing, phew. The first thing we saw on the menu was a pulled pork sandwich "The Hemi". An older couple with empty plates told us the best thing on the menu was the pulled pork sandwich. We were both sold. We were offered a choice of potato chips, coleslaw, or potato salad as a side. Both salads home made. We asked what was better and got potato salad for an answer. Done. Our food was served pretty quickly. An ice cream scoop of potato salad, a dill pickle spear and a heaping pulled pork sandwich on a ciabatta soft roll. The potato salad was delicious. Soft but not over cooked potatoes mixed with mayo and a stone ground mustard and a hint of horse radish I believe. The pork in the sandwich was smoked for about 5 hours with in house "butt rub" and then braised in porter beer mixture for another 3 hours. All this according to the owners. It was piled high on a soft ciabatta roll and topped with a scoop of the coleslaw. All for $11ish. The owners were super nice and talkative even as the were closing shop. I look forward to visiting again. read more

We stopped there for lunch and they said they were out of coffee. All they had left was a cup and a half that they split between three of us. After I went down the street and brought back some coffee I found out that they indeed had coffee they just didn't want to make another pot of it. They told me they only made one pot a day because they didn't generally sell it all. I said that really wasn't good customer service and the proprietor made a snarky comment. She said "oh my God". We had just bought $60 worth of lunch and left a generous tip and they wouldn't make another pot of coffee? They had me go across the road to get some. They apparently are better at serving up snarky comments then good customer service. We've eaten there several times over the years, probably under a different ownership, but we won't be returning to this place. There are two other espresso stands in town, a brewery bakery, and a gas station north of town that has coffee, pastry, and delightful deli items. And they are friendly. read more

We reluctantly stopped here on the way back from a short hike thinking we could make it home before lunch. Happy accident! The BBQ pulled pork was AMAZING, and my husband's sandwich was also really good. The décor is fun and bright, and the kitchen was very clean. Unfortunately, we had our dog with us, so we had to take it to go, but we have every intention of planning another trip down that way just to eat here on our way home. This is our weekly breakfast spot! They are fast and friendly and will go above and beyond to accommodate requests (we are vegetarian, so It's hard to find food at a "deli" sometimes). My favorite thing is all of their sides for their sandwiches and burgers are homemade-tomato basil soup, chili, potato salad, coleslaw etc! Additionally prices are pretty good for a small town, our breakfast burritos are huge and only a couple of bucks ($6? I can't remember exactly) and they have a breakfast sandwich that starts at $4 (you can add stuff for additional $$). Additionally, their coffee is great! They have all kinds of espresso, but their drip coffee black is the best around! read more

Drove by from Sequim on our way to Portland and needed a quick lunch. Not much in this town, and we were skeptical. Ended up ordering 2 pulled pork sandwiches, one without the bread (blood sugar, lower carbs). Pleasantly surprised with the portion because bigger than i'm used to. Farm fresh organic veggies make sense since we are in farmland. There was too much meat that i was unable to finish it. Came with a side, ie potato salad, slaw, and a 1/2 pickle; however my bunless sandwich didn't come w/ the pickle, so i wonder if it was inadvertently omitted or intentional. sniff sniff. Driving down the east side of the Olympic Peninsula, we used a Culinary Guide to the Olympic Peninsula to find this great spot for a delicious lunch! Nice menu including homemade pulled pork and smoked turkey! We had a pulled pork sandwich and a "Tesla" salad (i.e. cobb salad) with amazing veggies, cheese and meats, including the turkey! Worth waiting for as you drive past Port Townsend heading south! A little hard to spot - we had to turn around when we missed the sign for it initially. Little outdoor patio overlooks a sweet memorial park. Clean restrooms too!! read more

Best sandwiches ever. We had the Ferrari and the Prosciutto? Two cold sandwiches, couple of beers. The Kale salad didn't fail either. Exquisite patio experience near thriving garden. Herbs for sandwiches grew next to our table. We saw the basil; we ate the basil. This place is legit. Will be a must destination for refueling during outdoor adventures. Heading home after leaving the Port Townsend ferry and looking for lunch. Walked in to a clean and modern deli. We had 2 sandwiches the BBQ and French dip. Both were excellent. The FD was made the old fashioned way with the bottom bun dipped in jus. Both of us commented that the bread was soft but didn't fall apart. We had one potato salad side which was good and one potato leek soup side which was very tasty. We sat on small deck overlooking a beautiful garden. There is plenty of inside seating if the weather wasn't as perfect as today. We will definitely be back! read more
