We've used Geeks a Knockin' going on 4 very good years now, since they installed our new server and workstations. Signing on with them for full time service was an upgrade all around! Their team is excellent at what they do. The admin and IT staff provide actively helpful service, and help cultivate a strong working relationship with our office. Their team is consistently courteous, helpful and ready to get the job done. Explaining things in simple terms with an enormous amount of patience. We usually get the same tech, Juan, who has resolved countless issues for us over the years. Their ticketing system is extremely convenient, allowing us to easily notify them of a problem, as well as being able to look up past events so that if it flares up again, there is something to spring from. We've long been impressed with their response time which is sometimes so fast we aren't expecting it! They perform updates and troubleshooting remotely, so no travel costs or wasted time. I recently updated my computer to Windows 7 and my Intel buddy dropped my old drive on the concrete floor so all my data was lost plus it was on a second drive that another Geeks organization totally missed plus another computer store missed. I was down for a month trying to find someone competent. I paid for and found nothing but incompetent people...until I called GeeksAKnockin. I had heard about them on KXL radio plus they came recommended to me by one of the incompetents, which I must give credit to for that. I had a somewhat difficult data recovery problem plus some very weird Outlook 2010 issues. Chris came out and recovered my invaluable files plus a host of other stuff for $129. I found this incredible when compared to the money I threw at incompetent arrogant 20 somethings who just mumble and screw things up. This is a very professional organization with polite and very knowledgeable people who show up on time and get it done. They even work on Saturdays at no extra charge. We used GeeksAKnockin for the first time this month and could not be happier with them! I phoned on a Friday afternoon and before making an appointment, John walked me thought a couple things I could do on my own to try to resolve the problem. I'd picked up a virus and after thinking we'd cleaned it up, discovered that Explorer no longer worked. When I wasn't able to get it back on my own, John set me up with an appointment the next morning. Chris arrived spot on time, answered all my questions without making me feel silly for asking, cleaned up the remains of the virus, checked out the computer thoroughly, got Explorer up and running again and installed a better (free) anti-virus program than we were using. These guys are great - at a good price! My Outlook 2007 email was receiving but not sending (on a PC with Vista), and after googling around for solutions I hadn't been able to fix it. (I'm maybe one step above computer novice.) Chris arrived right on time, courteous and professional. He quickly found a setting that Microsoft had recently changed and adjusted my settings to match. Then he updated some programs that were out of date, and took a look for viruses and malware. Chris also tuned up my husband's laptop, getting rid of a huge folder of temporary files that were slowing everything down. I have used Geek's services on 3 different computers recently, and several times in the past. The Ist time was needed when I was having problems with signing on to our wireless provider. In addition to fixing the problem, the tech recommended increasing our security sign-on and was very helpful when we needed assistance in signing on an additional lap-top. Recently I needed help with a serious virus infection on a lap-top, and the tech was even available the next day when some tweeks were needed. I will be calling them in the future and am considering having them monitor my computer on a regular basis. I heartily recommend them!!! read more

I have dealt with GeeksAKnockin over a 3-4 year period. From issues of internet access set up, to my recent virus infection of both my computers. I have always been totally satisfied with the service, the competency of the technicians (geeks) and the follow-up. Over the years 3 different geeks have come to my house, always within the time specified. Usually within the 1st 15 minutes. My computers are older, and getting more so as each day passes. when I get my new computer, I am planning to sign-up for their "Virus Protection" plan so that they can monitor my computer, and save me the hassle that I had this week. These guys are the best. They've serviced my computers three times in the last couple of years. Each time it was a different guy. All were great. They were very fast and efficient at handling all kinds of problems, needs, requests, etc. And best of all, you could ask any question at any time, and they were not at all annoyed. In fact, they invariably (and cheerfully) gave answers that made sense. I'm fairly computer literate, but there's lots more I don't know than I know. We just used Geeksaknocken for the fourth time. We have used lots of other tech support, like Dell, which used to be good but now they are all from India and I can't even understand what they are saying. One time I just wanted to know how to turn off the fire wall. Three hours later they still couldn't help me. Really? With Geeksaknocken they come right to your house and hands on sit down to your computer and fix it. No matter what your issue they can help and often give you lots more than you asked for. I made the mistake of using "someone who knew someone who used this guy" to install my new PC and transfer years of pictures and data. "guy" completely screwed up everything. Chris at GeeksAKnockin ended up completely saving the day and getting all of my new software working. He even got on the phone with Dell to help me fix a problem with them (not installing software I paid for) and Microsoft to get my product licensing corrected (which "guy" really screwed up somehow) and I am now computing happily ever after.
