Wow! Love coming here and the variety is endless. They have a great variety of food and drinks. We had a roll, steak tacos and surf and turf. The habanero sauce is spicy but a good spicy if that's your thing. Otherwise stay clear from it.

Plenty of parking in the structure behind the restaurant. Place is huge, with plenty of seating. They had happy hour, which was great. We ordered a bit to share. It's a fusion concept with a variety of different dishes. Everything was really good, but by far the star of the show was the octopus. The sauces that came with it were amazing, really well balanced dish and the octo was cooked perfectly. Def a must try and order from the happy hour menu if you can. Staff were friendly as well.

I stopped by Tempo Geisha the other day and decided to try their seafood and meat molcajete. The flavor was great, the mix of meats and seafood came out sizzling hot and full of that smoky, rich taste you want from a good molcajete. The portion of the main dish itself was generous, but I was surprised they only gave four small corn tortillas with such a big bowl. Same goes for the rice and beans, both were good, just served in really small portions. What threw me off a bit was the little details. The soda came in what felt like a kid-sized glass, and I really missed having chips and salsa at the start of the meal. Most Mexican spots I've been to, like Cha Cha's down the street automatically bring them out, which adds a nice welcoming touch. Tempo Geisha has solid food and good flavors, but with a few small tweaks to their portions and extras, it could easily go from good to great. Manager was also assisting as our waiter and taking our orders. Service was great and the staff had great attitudes. Friendly place and i would definitely come again. The happy hour being our first time trying it, and the last experience coming for dinner with my kids and wife reaffirmed the food is good and service was good. Just a few minor tweaks to improve.

We came to check out the new Geisha by tempo. We've been to all the tempos and this one was my top two favorites. We had the oysters, sushi , tried the aguachiles , pork belly bites (chicharron) appetizer, carne asada tacos for the kids, and their butter cake with ice cream and loved it all! Servers were very nice and friendly and kept checking in on us. Will definitely come back and recommend

Soggy tacos dorados. Man, I was disappointed overall with my experience at Tempo Geisha. Both of the things I order were not good. Tacos Dorados 7/10 These arrived soggy. The taco shells that are supposed to be crunchy, were soggy. The tacos were served in a plate with sauce in the bottom of the bowl. Apparently, the tacos had sat there int he sauce too long. Maybe that was ready first and they had it sitting for the rest of the food to come out. I'm not too sure? I just know something went wrong... I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp instead of chicken. Extra charge for the shrimp by the way. The Caesar salad dressing tasted off to me. It was overly fishy tasting, like anchovies maybe? They topped the salad with lots of cheese. That's fine. The dressing was just off though. It didn't taste like Caesar salad dressing. I couldn't even eat it. Really gross. My husband took a bit and agreed that it wasn't right. 2/10 for the Caesar salad. Service was fine. No issues there. They brought our food and filled our glasses. That's great. Ambiance wasn't crowded or busy. There were a couple other tables. My husband said his food was mediocre. Nothing to rave about. At least, he was able to eat his food.

The service was great, our waitress Heidi was friendly and welcoming. The menu was a little all over the place and the agua fresca lacked flavor. The pasta I chose was a little bland but with salt and pepper was much better and the garlic bread was delicious. I ordered the Tequila chicken pasta. My friend and I came here for Valentine's Day dinner, and we were really hoping to love the experience but unfortunately several aspects fell below our expectations. When we arrived for our 6:00 PM reservation, the hostess let us know it would be about a 10-minute wait and while we understand that holidays can be busy, we had made a reservation specifically to avoid waiting. Shortly after, we and a few other parties were asked to sit at the bar with no additional context as to why we were waiting. We were offered complimentary champagne, which was a thoughtful gesture and definitely appreciated, but we were on a tight schedule as we were set to catch a movie afterward so we just wanted to be sat. Once we were finally seated, we overheard that someone had vomited and our table happened to be right next to that area, which was quite off-putting. During service, my friend and I also noticed the staff seemed very overwhelmed--servers were discussing table confusion and food routing confusion within earshot of our table, which made the experience feel a bit disorganized. This became especially apparent as we waited quite some time between getting our appetizer and our starter, which ended up reaching our table at the same time as our main course. For dessert, we ordered the butter cake, but the texture and flavor was more like cornbread so we put it off to the side. While we were waiting for our check, our server briefly placed another dessert at our table before realizing it belonged elsewhere and taking it away, which just added to the overall sense of disorganization. My friend and I truly don't mind spending $200+ for a great dining experience, but our total came to about $250 and, unfortunately, the food and service really didn't meet our expectations to the point where we ended up discarding most of our meal. For context, I've also visited the Tempo Cantina location across from the Brea Mall, and my friend has been to Tempo Geisha once previously. We decided to give it another try because the atmosphere and location are fantastic and very convenient for us. However, we were ultimately disappointed this time as well. I share this feedback in hopes it's helpful, not to bring the restaurant down. We genuinely love the concept and energy of the restaurant and hope to see improvements in service flow, communication, and food consistency in the future because we really would love to come back and have a great experience!

Such a big disappointment. We were really excited to try tempo geisha as it was the new restaurant with a neat concept. Everything was a complete failure The design of the place is absolutely beautiful! It is decorated really nice and very tasteful. Service was really poor. Our waiter was the bartender and our server. He didn't know the menu. We got the pan roast, dirty fries and pineapple dish. We specially said we don't want the octopus in pan roast but the other seafood items are fine and he later brings out the chicken and sausage. My husband repeated multiple times but he stilll got it wrong. He even showed us the tablet while we were paying that the pan roast was with chicken. What? We asked for seafood version. He just didn't get it. Either way the pan roast didn't taste good. Lacked proper flavor. The dirty fries were okay. They needed more acidity. The grilled pineapple was basically a bunch of cheese with barely any flavor. Wouldn't recommend any of it. I got strawberry margarita and my husband got the mule. Both which barely had any alcohol because I didn't taste any. Mine tasted like strawberry juice. Complete disappointment. Overall we were really disappointed and to top it off we went there for my birthday. I'd say skip it and if ton really want traditional Mexican cuisine and better alcohol go the other tempo in Brea otherwise skip it. It's not worth it. I can see why the restaurant was empty just with a few tables taken.

Terrible, slow service. They don't clear the empty glasses and plates from the table, so it's completely cluttered. They rarely come back to check on you throughout your meal. Food is mediocre at best, overpriced, and came out at scattered times. Have zero intentions of returning and would much rather go to Reunion or Chophouse next door for the same price point. As a warning to anyone with a nut allergy, there are nuts served with the cheesecake and it's not listed on the menu, which resulted in a member of our party having to emergently leave the restaurant to get his epi pen. While we didn't have a chance to take a photo of ours, we found one online that shows them on the side at a Tempo restaurant. read more

I was a big Tempo fan back when the original location opened down the street. Broad, deep, but interesting menu, good food. But then they put TV screens up everywhere and blared music videos so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. So we left Tempo alone for a couple of years. When we saw that Tempo was taking over Taps' spot, we were hopeful. Went there for dinner the other night and were so disappointed. The menu is wildly reduced from the original Tempo menu, the decor and theme are a confusing mishmash (Mexican murals, mermaids, and waitresses dressed like extras from "Coyote Ugly," complete with cowboy hats). And the prices were wild. I'm talking $25 for a sushi roll, $60 for a steak plate. Unable to find any of the dishes we used to order, we ordered 3 sushi rolls . . . and then waited 30 minutes for them. The waitress was attentive and kept coming back to give us updates, and then finally got the manager to check on the food and start giving us updates. Finally got our food (the manager comped 2 of the rolls because the wait for them was so wild). It was good, but not special enough to wait 30 minutes for or pay double the price per roll that we would pay at the actual sushi restaurants we go to. Overall, the experience felt like "Tempo's doing well and wants to try a bigger space, but, man, the rent for that Taps' space is hiiiiigh, but maybe since we're switching to serving oysters and seafood towers like Taps did, we can justify pricing our food like Taps did, but we also have to keep the party look/vibe our crowd loves." It seems like Tempo has lost its way, which makes me sad. Tempo 1.0 was a great, fun, yummy place, but Tempo 2.0 is trying so hard to be everything to everyone and something it's not all at once. That's hard, and makes for a disappointing, confusing experience. I hate to say this, but I'll be surprised if this location is still open in a year. read more

Mr. Tempo has done it again. What an absolutely amazing spot full of energy and ambiance. Every detail seems to have been thought through and it shows with amazing art, neon signs, and even a large cherry blossom tree. The food is top notch and service impeccable. I was excited to try Tempo Geisha, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. The restaurant's concept felt confusing, with a mix of Mexican, Japanese, and Western influences that didn't quite come together cohesively. The décor and staff attire, including cowboy hats, added to the inconsistency. Service was also a challenge. We were asked for a credit card upon being seated to open a tab, which felt unusual. The menu was difficult to navigate, expensive, and not well explained by the server, who struggled to offer recommendations. Our appetizer (taquitos) were served at once with our dinner tacos selection instead of being spaced out, and we weren't provided with a drink menu. Small details, like tiny cups with oversized red plastic straws put in drink unnecessary, also seemed poorly thought out. The most uncomfortable part of the experience was at the end when the server asked for our credit card again, openly announced our bill total, and processed it on a handheld device in front of the entire table. This lack of discretion felt unprofessional. Why did you take a cc for a tab and need my cc again? I felt this brand didn't trust your own guests when seated at a table. I've been to many restaurants and this was a first. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I hope this feedback helps the restaurant improve. I truly miss Taps and the quality experience provided doesn't compare to this new restaurant. I won't be back. read more

Diego was our server and was the highlight of our dinner service. He reccomended the best drinks for everyone at my table, just based on our preference of spirits. Drinks were high quality and super flavorful. We had multiple rounds of "surprise" drinks. We were so happy with what he chose for us. He suggested the Citrus Roll and I was NOT disappointed. The sushi was like no other roll I've tried before I enjoyed the popping boba. Service was on point, I will be requesting Diego everytime I visit. Had a reservation for 8:30pm, wasn't seated until after 9pm (it was not packed and we never saw anyone waiting more than 10 minutes ) .. and we saw big group get seated right away and overheard they called in to see if there was seating.. .. i ordered the Mia's margarita it was very good , I personally didn't like my food the trio enchiladas , the arrachera was dry and the tinga wasnt to my expectations .. the inside is beautiful and loved the different themes of rooms .. maybe we just came on a bad day read more

My wife and I visited last weekend for their Brunch. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't order from the main menu that I saw online but it's ok. Apparently the main menu isn't available until after 2pm. I had the fish tacos and my wife had the tuna tostada which were both very good. The chips and salsa were also very good and my wife said the side of beans she ordered was delicious. My wife is a bean expert so she would know. We will definitely be back after 2pm next time. read more

1st off, the food is good. Very good! But with our party of 14 women, everyone's dinner was appetizer size except for one hamburger plate with fries for $25. I paid $14 for a fried 4 inch tostada with cerviche on top. This was not an appetizer menu. This was a chef's recommendation. They put 3 small bowls of tasty salsa with 3 small bowls of spicy tortilla chips which were great on our long table! But there were 14 of us! They charge if you want more!! One gal came after we were done eating and she ordered dinner but was not offered any chips and salsa. The music is good and the decor is trendy. All of the servers were young and nice looking. This restaurant doesn't know what it is. The staff wears cowboy hats (we live in California), the menu has American, Japanese, and Mexican items. We had a pork roll appetizer that was rock hard on one side (after we were told that these are tasty and soft) and chicken fajitas as our main course. The fajitas were average tasting at best (I've never had fajitas at a restaurant that didn't come on a sizzling plate). The take home bag had (apparently) a drawing of the owner and a message about god in Spanish. The only reason this is not a one star rating is the excellent, reasonably priced Cadillac margarita. Total bill with tip $100 for two people. Seriously, go to Cabo Grill if you want Mexican food... The only saving read more

Boy what a huge disappointment! The food was awful! We ordered fajitas that came iut cold! Come on! If you can't cook fajitas, uou should not be in business i also ordered the carne en su jugo which was a disgrace to the dish. And the pictures that they come around and take of you are annoying as hell. Just let people enjoy their dinner. The vibe was terrible too! Bar was cool, they have a bit of everything. Bartenders are friendly and make it a point to check in if your drink was made correctly. The area that needs some improvement is the bar seating area. I went with 6 other guests and it seemed that the server was completely overwhelmed. Our food came out one at a time and the last guest at our table waited 50 minutes to receive her food order. We thought it was forgotten but it wasn't, it just took almost an hour to prepare. So she sat and watched everyone at the table eat their meal. We arrived at 6pm and after having a round of drinks and placing our orders, we weren't done with our table until 9:45. We sat and waited too long for our drinks, food and server. I probably wouldn't return after that experience unfortunately. read more

The food was excellent, and the care they showed us made the whole evening even more special. It is rare to come across such generous and kindhearted people. A highlight of the night was dessert for my daughter, who has a dairy allergy and usually cannot enjoy desserts at most restaurants. Masako thoughtfully made her a dairy-free version of the Oreo tempura, which meant so much to us. She absolutely loved it. Also, the sashimi latina sauce was so delicious that we saved the extra sauce and kept dipping our rolls in it. Also, they take reservations so I can always get a seat.

Fullerton's Rock'N Sushi does not start you off with a soap, and the edamame is plain vs La Puente's location, starters - soap and spicy garlic edamame to start-off. Aside from that, good deals and Fullerton still has the BOGO. Parking is a plus vs La Puente's location. First timer at the Fullerton location, I would come back if I am in the area but won't go out of my way as I will for the La Puente location. Overall, if you're a Rock'N Sushi fan, stick to La Puente's location, you get more of a bang for your dollar at the La Puente's Rock'N Sushi.

I would to share my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your Geisha location on Valentine's Day. For the past six years, I have been a loyal customer and have regularly taken my wife to your restaurants for special occasions. We have visited multiple locations, including Downey, Brea, Hollywood, and Montebello, and have consistently received quality service, food, and overall experience. Unfortunately, our visit to the Geisha location was extremely disappointing. After driving 30 minutes specifically to experience this location, we were not informed until we were already seated that the only dining option available was a $150 fixed menu, excluding drinks. This information was not clearly disclosed prior to being seated. Had we been properly informed in advance, we would have reconsidered dining there. The fixed menu was significantly limited and nothing compared to your regular menu offerings. The food quality and selection did not justify the premium price. Additionally, the two mojitos we ordered were watered down and poorly prepared. Our total bill came to $256 for the fixed menu dinner, two drinks, one sushi roll, and $36 in gratuity. The overall experience did not reflect the value expected from your brand and fell far below the standard we have become accustomed to over the years. This was meant to be a special Valentine's celebration, and instead, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. It was literally a scam! read more

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! Every dish was packed with flavor and freshness. We started with the hamachi sashimi, which had a wonderfully fresh taste with just the right amount of spice. The citrus roll was absolutely outstanding--infused with a variety of flavors and a subtle smoky touch that made it unforgettable. For the main dishes, we tried the surf and turf and the Ensenada taco, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But what truly stole the show were the drinks! They were not only reasonably priced but also presented beautifully. I had the strawberry jalapeño margarita and the Mia margarita, and while both were delicious, the Mia margarita was definitely my favorite. On top of the fantastic food and drinks, our server Heidi made the experience even better. She was incredibly attentive, sweet, and gave us great food recommendations. Her excellent service truly stood out! From the amazing food to the top-notch drinks and outstanding service, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back! I recently visited Tempo and had a great overall experience. Starting with the food, I tried the ceviche, which had good flavor, though I've had slightly fresher versions elsewhere. The menu was basic and seemed to follow the same concept as other Tempo locations--I was expecting more seafood and a greater variety of dishes. The food itself is on the pricey side, and the portion sizes aren't very generous. We all ordered tacos as our main dish, but if you come hungry, they won't be enough--especially for the price. The biggest drawback was the service. The staff seemed inexperienced, got multiple orders wrong, and often appeared lost. Some solid training would go a long way in improving the experience. On the positive side, the ambiance is great. The space is really cool--I remember when it used to be TAPS. The noise level is just right, allowing for good conversation, and the art adds a nice touch. I truly hope they improve the service and expand the menu to better fit the concept. I was really looking forward to trying Geisha, especially since I'm a longtime fan of Tempo Cantina just down the street. Unfortunately, Geisha was a major letdown. To be fair, the music and decor were nice, that's the one positive. But when it comes to the food, it was a total miss. We specifically came for the sushi, only to be told they weren't serving it because the kitchen was backed up. How does a restaurant named "Geisha" not serve sushi? We ended up ordering the aguachiles, which I do not recommend. They had a strange and unpleasant aftertaste. The drinks were also disappointing. Service was all over the place. Our table of 11 was served in waves. Three of us had already finished eating by the time two more dishes came out. It was disorganized, and the place wasn't even that busy. Overall, I won't be returning and can't recommend this place. They've got the vibe, but everything else needs serious work. read more

As soon as I was seated, my server Roxy introduced herself with the most upmost kindness and professionalism. She single-handedly answered all of my questions and she even gave me amazing recommendations. I was extremely flattered by her charismatic charm and service, making my entire night and the atmosphere such a pleasurable moment. The food was absolutely to die for. I was part of a large group of 20, and only two people enjoyed their meals. The highlight of the night--sadly--was the chips, and I don't say that lightly. The $70 steak tasted like a very low-grade cut, likely sourced from the cheapest option available. While the servers were kind, the service itself was disorganized and inconsistent, likely due to a lack of proper training. Been here a couple times. Food is good. Service, very sub par. Had made an open table reservation and they canceled it 40+ minutes after we were seated. Went for a graduation and they added the tip because of party size. Then the server tried to bully us into an additional tip. Said additional tip was optional, then stood over my shoulder watching and repeatedly saying you can add an extra tip if you want. Drinks never refilled, desert not offered and rarely came to the table to check in. Second bad service experience in a row. Never had an issue at their other Tempo Kitchen restaurants. read more
