Not a bad Cajun spot, with good apps and also an option to eat a seafood boil Boiling Crab style, or just have a dish of gumbo or jumbalaya and keep it clean and classy. We had the calamari which was not bad, the batter could've been crispier, but the calamari with the sauce was tasty. Also had the oysters which were fresh and plump. For entrees, I had the jumbalaya which was assembled nicely, the rice and shrimp could've had more meat flavor, or have more sausage added, but overall it's a decent dish. We also had a pound of shrimp all hooked up with all the sauces combined, and that was super flavorful. Finally, service was good, I remember there was even a bottle of bubbly lemon water specifically for washing hands that was super cool and added to the experience. This place is our weekly spot for dinner! Service is always amazing! They have great deals on happy hour Monday-Thursday . Very family and kids friendly restaurant. Our go to fav are the calamari, fries, blackened fish and shrimp tacos , oysters , brussel sprout salad, and hooked wings! We also tried their garlic noodles, chambalaya, and crawfish . They're all very good. I prefer their crawfish seasoning over boiling crab because boiling crab is too salty for my taste. The kids also love the mac and cheese here. I come here at least once a year and it's always a family favorite! I get the shrimp in the all hooked flavor and it's my favorite. I will say it's worth the extra cost to buy the peeled shrimp because the flavor tends to get lost if you buy the unpeeled and peel it off yourself. Wife and I came here Friday night around 6 pm and the parking was easy to get. Walked into restaurant because I saw on yelp they had lobster rolls but they didn't sell any lobster rolls. The place was not as busy and didn't have to wait long for a table. It was nice and clean and pretty quiet for a Friday night. We ordered the pineapple alcoholic drink (the wife) and I got an awesome peach palmer 10/10. For appetizer I got fried calamari but it was pretty chewy 7/10. That it's their local place to get their Cajun style seafood fix. We ordered it and her husband picked it up for dinner. It was a great turn around time. Ordered almost everything there was on the menu. ~ Live Crawfish was fresh and pretty big size in end of May. ~ Shrimp was really plump and big. ~ mussels were yummy too ~ Raw oysters were clean and yummy tasting. Didn't have that sea salt water taste or slimy. It was fresh tasting and good. Their sauce is pretty good. It's not salty or overly garlicky. Loved the taste of it. I recently went here for lunch and had an ok time enjoying my meal. We got oysters to start which was yummy and shucked well. Our server greeted us nicely, i think we came at a good time because once it started getting packed I could see the servers getting a overwhelmed. I got two fish tacos and 1 shrimp taco along with a Caesar salad. It was okay i do wish the tortilla didn't crumble after one bite. My boyfriend got a white fish plate. A bit spicy and flavorful. Loved the sausages. (4/5) Po' Boy with Fries & Coleslaw (Catfish) - I got this with catfish and really wished the fish piece was larger. The fish flavor overall was tasty though. The po' boy was more bready than anything else and not super flavorful since there wasn't much sauce. I loved the fries, they tasted like McDonald's fries, but better. (3.5/5) Beignets - Not my favorite, to be honest. Too much powdered sugar, and the dough was just alright. It's pretty pricey for what it is. I ordered the clams garlic noodle and it only came with 4 clams. LITERALLY. It was pretty sad. Our daughter who loves noodles didn't even eat it. We also got the fish and chips I believe and it was just okay. Our friends got their fish tacos and jambalaya I think and they mentioned everything was just OKAY. Nothing was memorable and it was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon lunch time. The service wasn't bad at all it was actually pretty good. The food came out ina timely manner and they checked on us several times but even when the service was great and the food doesn't check out, it just isn't enough for us to go back. Ambiance was okay. Well, the Asst Mgr rolls in at 1150 and then, first thing, tells her entire staff she needs to leave at 1250. Interesting, but not my business. So, I then receive my food without the seafood upgrade I had also originally ordered. The waitress said she would take care of it and after 5-6 minutes of waiting as my food gets cold, my "soup" cup of the originally ordered seafood arrived. I eat some and have the rest bagged up to go. I get my check and I see a $9 charge for the fries I had asked to have changed for the salad. The waitress said the "asst mgr" did the ticket and said they needed to be charged. I then spoke to the asst Mgr who said the $9 fries had to be charged and that she had actually saved me money by not charging for the $2 SEAFOOD UPGRADE. I then remembered California teaches math a lil differently than the rest of America. I told her the waitress approved it at which time she snipped the receipt into her hand and said "Fine". My bill was reduced $10, even with California math. First rule of hospitality, always make the customer feel special. Didn't happen today. And a simple suggestion, if you want Tier 1 seafood, The Quarter in Claremont. Look it up. There are too many restaurants in SoCal to have to settle for poor customer service... read more

This is one of the more popular restaurants in Brea, and I'm so glad I could try it again recently. Shoutout, Alec, for being very attentive to our table and answering many of our questions. He made the experience way better. The first time I came here, I tried the AHU noodles, which were super strong and had too much flavor. I wouldn't recommend this noodle, but instead, get the classic garlic noodle. When I last visited, I got their fish and Chips, which were crispy and perfectly battered. The calamari was a no-go for us; the batter was falling off and very chewy, it may have been overcooked. We loved the strawberry lemonade; it had a sweet puree and fresh strawberries. I have only had jambalaya here and, if I'm not making it myself, I will eat it here. My youngest likes it with medium heat and I like it spicy. It has ham, shrimp, and andouille and the trinity, of course. I always get at least two meals out of one order and actually think it tastes better the next day. They also have interesting choices for lemonade that my kiddo likes a lot. When you're finished up with your meal, they bring over this bottle of bubbling stuff to help clean your hands.
