First time here and loved everything we ate. For appetizers, we got garlic spicy edamame and salmon skin salad. They were quite tasty and I was surprised to see they gave us a good amount of salmon skin in the salad. So crispy so good! My friend asked them to bring anything "belly" that was available and we got toro belly, salmon belly, and yellowtail belly. They were the best of all the items we tried. My favorite was the toro belly then salmon belly then yellowtail belly. They were so good and just melted in my mouth. Definitely ordering belly when I come back. We also got the albacore with fried onions and the FBI roll because I wanted something low carb. I was so happy to see they have a lot of low carb (no rice) roll options. The albacore with fried onions was great. The FBI roll was mixed spicy tuna crab wrapped with assorted fish: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore. The sauce was a little sweet but not bad. I would love to come back and try other low carb options. For desserts, they gave us matcha mochi ice cream since it was one of our friend's bday. I didn't expect to enjoy sushi this much but everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back.

For nigiri we had the seared tuna, tuna and yellowtail- unfortunately they were out of uni but the quality and portions were great. We also enjoyed the spicy tuna roll, chicken teriyaki, and the baked volcano roll that they made extra spicy for me. My mom doesn't eat sushi but she loved all of the rolls! The service was very fast and we didn't have a wait despite visiting on Friday night, although it was busy.

Their sashimi was so fresh, we ordered 4 orders. Miso soup was one of the best I had. We accidentally found the place last week and we are going back tomorrow

I actually love this sushi place but today I ordered the Snow Crab roll and it was so fishy! I liked my daughter's California roll way better. We also ordered edamame to share. I wasn't that hungry today but needed a small snack. I wanted to order more but there was a whole family there who ordered a lot of food so our two rolls took a while to come out. Then a couple more people came in, but our server I didn't catch her name, but she was really sweet. The food here is usually really delicious, but today not that great. I still enjoyed coming here for lunch though with baby girl :) Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

The lollipop was definitely overpriced, and didn't taste all that fresh. I would suggest going elsewhere for better sashimi and sushi. Customer service was all right, but didn't make up for the lack of quality in food. Maybe my expectations were too high? But I didn't order another roll because of how disappointing it was.

We used to go here when we lived closer in the area. Recently we were meeting family for dinner to celebrate a birthday and my husband remembered this place. It's in a small plaza. Place is decent size with simple decor. It was the first time for the other members of family and all of them liked the place. Service is really good. They are nice and attentive. All of our orders were good and fresh! Place is clean. We got the chirashi, small salad, albacore fried onion, shrimp tempura, Mr Tiger, hulk roll, sour patch, yellow tail hand roll, miso soup, fried banana a-gogo and some drinks such as hot green tea, sake and soda. We shared our food and all were good! Must try their dessert fried banana a-gogo! So yummy! We were there around 7pm and the place started to get full soon after. They even gave us free ice cream for the birthday celebrant! It was overall a nice get together dinner!

Ginza Sushi in Fullerton is one of our all time favorite go-tos for comfort sushi. It is always so fresh and delicious! Whether we go and dine in, or order for pickup, the quality never changes. We are huge fans of no rice sushi because we prefer the fish and low carb options when we have our Sushi Date Nights Ginza offers a wide variety of no rice sushi and sashimi dishes, and we are huge fans! . Some of our favorites: -FBI is spicy tuna crab salad wrapped with assorted fish like tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore topped w/avocado & special sauce -Pay Roll has soy paper and tuna, salmon, yellowtail wrapped with crab salad topped with slices of lemon, jalapenos, and cilantro sauce -Sweet Shrimp Sushi -All In One has soy paper, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab salad, avocado, red onions, masago, and shrimp tempura . The service was kind and attentive. The ambiance is family friendly!

Very attentive wait staff, the place was packed but we had good service and the food came right out. I'm not a huge sushi person but everything was really good. Some delicious! With delicious sauces!

I have been going here for years in Fullerton! One of my friends showed me this gem and continues to go and show it off to my friends and family. I usually never have to wait for a table even though the restaurant is on the smaller side. They have outdoor seating and sushi bar seating. I usually start off my meal with an order of Gyoza (5 pieces)! Super crispy and sweet with the dipping sauce. I have had the chicken teriyaki and salmon teriyaki here; it's pretty good. But my go-to has to be the Chicken Katsu meal! It comes with miso soup, salad, and rice. Highly recommend! The last time I came here, I tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna roll! Sooo good, im coming back for this when I visit Fullerton. Regarding their service, it's never been a problem.

I stopped in to this sushi place a couple weeks back when I was visiting California. I was excited that it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon. Everything we had was delicious. The fish was fresh and came out quickly. The gyoza was so tasty we ordered a second round for the table. Three of us shared the items and it was very filling. The waitress was friendly and refilled my drinks quickly. I am excited to head back to visit so I can come here again.

My husband and I were craving sushi and wanted to try a new restaurant. We just finished doing groceries and saw Ginza. I looked it up on Yelp and this place had good reviews. We decided to give it a try since it's in the same plaza. The place was packed but we were able to get seated right away. The place was small but the vibe was great and the staff was very friendly. Our server Nick was awesome and knowledgeable.Since we were new, he told us to try the Sour Patch and we did. We ordered Miso Soup, Las Vegas, Pink Lady and Sour Patch. Everything was great!!! Fresh and very tasty. The sour patch was a delight, it was a combination of slightly spicy and tangy because of the lemon. We loved it!! We also loved the Las Vegas for the crisp and the yummy cream cheese. Pink lady was also tasty but it was a little spicy for me. Overall, we loved it! . Thank you Nick for the recommendation, we will be back. There's so much more to try.

Love this spot for Happy hour. It's clean and quaint, no fuss. Service is always great and their rolls are on point. I haven't tried the sashimi or nigiri yet but am looking forward to it. In my opinion, this is more of a roll spot. My favorite roll is the downtowner - you'll love if you like seared fish. Second favorite was the Hulk Roll - savory with a touch of sweet. Probably the best to order for multiple people because it's straightforward and flavorful. Mango Tango is also great - creamy savory roll with just a hint of mango and spice, not too forward. The dream was very refreshing and we enjoyed it, more of a raw flavor than the last two, but simple and well balanced. We always get the eel jalapeño tempura (though I wish it was more than 2 pieces) and shishito peppers. The edamame is great too.

I think this was the FBI...? So pretty & even more delicious! Non-rice roll too!
    Kris G.

Ginza never disappoints! They are often busy & busting at the seams because their sushi is high quality & always fresh. Sitting at the bar is a treat because you have prime tv viewing for games, but more importantly, the best views of the sushi chefs doing what they do best. Some faves - sour patch, FBI, lollipop, hand rolls, lady in red, pink lady, to name a few. They also have great apps, like gyoza, spicy edamame, shrimp tempura, crab cheese wontons, & yellowtail collar. Everyone we've introduce to this place has loved it... & returned!

Fifteen courses that are surprises because even tho there's a "template" of types of dishes, each one is ultimately the chef's choice. As each course was brought out, our waiter did an excellent job of describing what each item was and it's place of origin. Fifteen courses is alot to try to remember each specific dish so I decided to stay in the moment (after I snapped a pic) and enjoyed each one as we had them and talked about the flavor profiles and what we liked best about it. When my son had made the reservation he must have told them we were celebrating my birthday because in addition to the regular dessert course, our server brought me a birthday dessert which included green tea ice cream and a slice of matcha cheesecake. The full omakase experience was delicious and so fun! I told my son that it was like an advent calendar ~ each course we "opened" had us saying "ooo, how yummy" and left us with almost giddy anticipation of what we'd discover next. If you're looking for something fun and unique for a special occasion, I highly recommend the full omakase experience at Akashiro!

So we found this place and it was in the same vicinity and yay, they took reservations. Made reservations same day for a 18:30 seating. Service is impeccable. We were welcomed with hot towels, and this impressed me: when our server asked if we wanted cold or hot water. Love it! We opted for hot, better for digestion :) Our libation: Kubota sake - semi dry, rich, clean Our dishes: Assorted sashimi (16 pcs) - omakase. No soy sauce needed. Chef prepared with delicious flavors in mind. Tiger scallops - served in a what appears to resemble petrified wood, carved into a long boatlike dish. Hokkaido shrimp, cilantro oil, chilaquita (Peruvian onion relish), sweet potato crisp, smoke aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili) Leche de tigre (rich emulsion of limes, Peruvian spices and chilis) - A complexity of flavors that comes together so completely. Eat with spoon. The delicate potato crisp finishes the bite with a little crunch. Udon picante - bell peppers, quinoa and 2 jumbo shrimp. Love the heat level. Comfort food at its best. Salmon parmesan - Nikkei sushi - seared salmon, parmesan bitter, eel sauce , arare, lime. Amazing. O toro sushi - the fattiest cut of tuna. Eat as is. Again chef prepared. No added seasoning required. Parri maki - fried shrimp, cream cheese, seared tuna topped with chimichurri, aji amarillo, chalaquita, ponzu. Food experience was enhanced by their impeccable taste in music. Super chill, soft beats stream the restaurant. With its perfect lighting too sets all the good moods for us. Don't wait for this fine dining experience of Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Note: when they ask if you want soy sauce, say No, thank you. It would be a shame to kill the taste of a beautiful dish with any added sauce. Kampai! Salud!

DECENT FOOD, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT…read more I've been here twice, and I can honestly say I think the food is decent, but the manager needs additional training or something. Let me tell y'all what happened, and why I will not go back, ever. Service: 0/5 I ordered food to-go for my staff members birthday; I waited about 40 mins. Like others have said, they're very short staffed here, and maybe that's problem #1. After some time went by, I think they realized I was sitting for a very long time for a small to-go order, so they rushed & possibly didn't secure my bag of food. I ordered a spicy YAKIUDON noodle meal, spicy edamame, and a fried "San Diego". When the young man gave it to me, I asked him if it was secure because it feels heavy and I'm taking it to my staff member and wanted it to be ready for him to eat. He said everything was there, it was packaged well, and sorry for the wait. WELL- LONG STORY SHORT IT WASN'T. lol. I immediately called after I got to my staff members job (15 mins away) and nothing was secure. It leaked so badly EVERYWHERE! My car, my clothes, the food was soggy- it was a literal disaster. After calling- the man apologized profusely and said he will replace EVERYTHING and to come back any time. My staff member and I were out of lunch and it was honestly embarrassing because it was their birthday. I wasted time, spent 2x the money, and I had an extremely dirty car. I took pics, threw the food away, and went back a few days later. When I got there- the cook/ possibly owner was MAD as heck when the guy told him I was there to recollect my order. After shouting and shaking his head- I saw him cooking. When my bag came- it was awfully light and a very tiny box. I asked the server if that was everything and he was so embarrassed and kept saying he was sorry that the owners said "no." They will not replace it after all. They gave me a literal small side of noodles and that's it. The meal I originally bought came with rice, a salad, a dumpling etc. I also didn't get the edamame, or the fried San Diego! All around- I felt bad for the young man who was so embarrassed and ultimately put in the middle. He said it was wrong what they're doing but ultimately this place was going back on what they should do to make it right. I didn't make a scene or argue, I opted to never come back. I think things like this show the character of an establishment and it is what it is.

First, the BOGO deal is awesome. There are happy hour deals, but we rarely get there in time to take advantage. It's just a bit of a drive for us to get there early enough. Second, the Chefs!!! Go to any sushi joint you want... you've got ONE chef slinging fish, totally backed up, trying his best to keep pace, and all the while losing attention to detail and presentation. CRnS always has 3 sometimes 4 Chef's behind the line. The result is faster service.... Of course.... But presentations that are almost too pretty to eat... but, it's sushi, so we eat them anyway. And third, the servers.... They are pretty consistent....There are not new servers every other week like some lesser joints. You get familiar with them and they get familiar you. I'd be like "Bruh, I was just here 2 minutes ago, why didn't you ask more Wasabi and Ginger then?" Not James, always glad to bring us more Wasabi and Ginger.... I expected a kitsune broth (umami-rich with dashi) as the restaurant specializes in sushi. Regardless, it was decent; the accompanying shrimp tempura were good. Interestingly, this restaurant is also mentioned in the Michelin Guide. I believe this is due to the quality of the rolls. The tuna tasted amazingly refreshing. I liked the California rolls too. For the quality served, they were decently priced. I'm sure more premium items would taste delicious. Walking inside is like entering a small traditional izakaya densely packed with Japanese decor. I wouldn't go here if I was in a rush due to the restaurant's popularity. The parking situation is fine, but make sure to use the bigger lot sectioned off from the restaurants.

Even when you order To-go, their utensils and plating is neatly put together and aesthetical. Service here is great. They're always checking up on you and making sure you're taken care of. We typically get the Brea roll, spicy tuna crispy rice, the chirashi bowl, and Udon for the kids. Never had a bad experience here, both from dining in and To-go.

We arrived at approximately 9:10pm and were told that they would close at 10:00. We ordered in under 5 minutes. Food came out promptly. We were ready to respectfully be out by 10:00pm. But instead the servers kept coming to clear plates and take our napkins. It was approximately 9:40 and 3/4 members of our party were done. The server came again started further removing dishes and even placed a dish on top of something that was still being eaten even while we told them that we were not done yet. We would've have been out by 9:50 if they let us finish eating in peace. Instead we paid a good amount of money to eat rushed and excessively interrupted just to get us out 5 minutes sooner. Bad service. We were out by 9:46 and walked out disappointed.
