I always order and love the fish and chips because it has all kinds of fish on the wonton chips rather than just tuna. But I feel $20 is a little high. Also, I feel the Poke Bowl didn't come with enough fish. Rice to fish ratio was like 3:1. Restaurant is clean and cozy, in a big shopping plaza with plenty of parking, so that's a plus. read more

First time here and loved everything we ate. For appetizers, we got garlic spicy edamame and salmon skin salad. They were quite tasty and I was surprised to see they gave us a good amount of salmon skin in the salad. So crispy so good! My friend asked them to bring anything "belly" that was available and we got toro belly, salmon belly, and yellowtail belly. They were the best of all the items we tried. My favorite was the toro belly then salmon belly then yellowtail belly. They were so good and just melted in my mouth. Definitely ordering belly when I come back. We also got the albacore with fried onions and the FBI roll because I wanted something low carb. I was so happy to see they have a lot of low carb (no rice) roll options. The albacore with fried onions was great. The FBI roll was mixed spicy tuna crab wrapped with assorted fish: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore. The sauce was a little sweet but not bad. I would love to come back and try other low carb options. For desserts, they gave us matcha mochi ice cream since it was one of our friend's bday. For nigiri we had the seared tuna, tuna and yellowtail- unfortunately they were out of uni but the quality and portions were great. We also enjoyed the spicy tuna roll, chicken teriyaki, and the baked volcano roll that they made extra spicy for me. My mom doesn't eat sushi but she loved all of the rolls! I actually love this sushi place but today I ordered the Snow Crab roll and it was so fishy! I liked my daughter's California roll way better. We also ordered edamame to share. I wasn't that hungry today but needed a small snack. I wanted to order more but there was a whole family there who ordered a lot of food so our two rolls took a while to come out. Then a couple more people came in, but our server I didn't catch her name, but she was really sweet. The food here is usually really delicious, but today not that great. The lollipop was definitely overpriced, and didn't taste all that fresh. I would suggest going elsewhere for better sashimi and sushi. Customer service was all right, but didn't make up for the lack of quality in food. Maybe my expectations were too high? Place is decent size with simple decor. It was the first time for the other members of family and all of them liked the place. Service is really good. They are nice and attentive. My wife and I have been here numerous times, and I'm not sure why I haven't left a review yet. The first time we came hear was when we first moved to Fullerton about 8 years ago. Found this little gem of a sushi spot, and haven't stopped going back since. We would even get it via delivery during COVID. The service is ALWAYS great, and the sushi chefs at the sushi bar DO NOT DISAPPOINT! They'll surprise us with a little twist on what they feel might be good for our palates and they're always right on the dot! Overall the environment also is very warming, and it can get busy at times, but it's totally worth it for the quality sushi they serve. My wife and I have only tried the sushi, and one of these days maybe we'll venture and get one of the bento boxes, but it's hard to veer away when their sushi is soooo good! I have been going here for years in Fullerton! One of my friends showed me this gem and continues to go and show it off to my friends and family. I usually never have to wait for a table even though the restaurant is on the smaller side. They have outdoor seating and sushi bar seating. I usually start off my meal with an order of Gyoza (5 pieces)! Super crispy and sweet with the dipping sauce. I have had the chicken teriyaki and salmon teriyaki here; it's pretty good. But my go-to has to be the Chicken Katsu meal! It comes with miso soup, salad, and rice. Highly recommend! The last time I came here, I tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna roll! Wilted lettuce mix with some gross brown leaves and halved cherry tomatoes that made me gag. The sushi roll was fine. Nothing special about it. In my opinion, this is more of a roll spot. My favorite roll is the downtowner - you'll love if you like seared fish. Second favorite was the Hulk Roll - savory with a touch of sweet. Probably the best to order for multiple people because it's straightforward and flavorful. Mango Tango is also great - creamy savory roll with just a hint of mango and spice, not too forward. The dream was very refreshing and we enjoyed it, more of a raw flavor than the last two, but simple and well balanced. Mu choices were chicken teriyaki and mixed tempura. The chicken teriyaki was very over-cooked. The tempura was good, but even the rice had a strange taste. Not typical Japanese rice that I grew up on. If the chicken teriyaki was cooked properly and they used decent quality Japanese rice, this place would warrant 5 stars. We have children and are always mindful, making sure we are not disrupted of the next table over. Also have to mention the fish to rice ratio sucked, they gave a little too much rice!! We ordered a lot of food and the bill wasn't too bad for good sushi.
