Remembering this location, I made an appointment online with Mariam for Saturday at 11am. I arrived 10 minutes early, and she was ready for me. I warned her in advanced that I'm terrified of the drill and nail file, so I would most likely flinch or make a funny face when it is in use. Unfortunately, my fear is so much worse than I thought because I was uncontrollably squirming/ tensing up, and truly just being a nightmare client. Mariam was SO EXTREMELY patient, kind, and gentle with me. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay, and would announce when the scary part was done. I was so embarrassed by my behavior, but she was very sweet. In addition to her kindness, she was fast. I got a Russian manicure with fast gel (no removal) for $85 (and a $2.47 service fee). The whole process took 45 minutes. The color came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was very please with how uniform the shape of the nails were. FYI: There are two Beauty By Lid locations. One is for hair, eyebrows, facials, etc, while the other one is the nail salon. The nail salon location has a smaller and tighter parking lot.

She is very gentle and won't tug and pull at your arms and hands. She's not in a hurry and takes her time. She was pleasant in conversation and i received a wonderful massage on my hands arms calves and feet . I have natural nails and she's perfectly OK with that. It's been my experience that many other nail people don't want to work on natural nails and try endlessly selling the gels . Jennifer has a ton of colors both for natural and gel nails so you don't have to bring your own. Today she did a natural Cheetah print and I love it! Jennifer also gives each client their own files, heel scrubbers , toe dividers & buffers, I really appreciate this is an extra precautionary practice so there is no cross contamination (bring it with you to your next visit). (Not to mention that she also deals with my annoying freak outs when that dumb drill gets close to me). Her shop is located in Salon Republic outside of the mall, so there's plenty of parking. I usually go for Gel-X french tips, but on occasion we will do something fun. Every time she's done something out of the ordinary, I'm obsessed with my nails. She is very talented and quick with nail art. Amy is also very accommodating. She typically doesn't work on Mondays or Tuesdays, but one time I asked (in advance!) if she could see me on a Tuesday for my proposal nails, and she happily obliged.
