I was disappointed that I wasn't a candidate for trays and needed 'regular" braces. My bite had opened and I was having trouble biting through some foods. I needed to get wires and bands to pull my teeth back together. and of course straighten a few crooked teeth in the process. I was thrilled to be able to eat an artichoke again after the braces were off and the straighter smile is great too. Both Dr. Harris and Dr Rochester were great, they both explained everything, answered questions and made me feel comfortable with the treatment I was getting. I've truly found everyone in the office to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable including office staff and ortho techs. Lastly, I've never felt rushed or like I was 'just another number' as I've heard about other offices. I'm also health care provider and would feel comfortable referring any friends, patients and family to Dr. Harris and have already, many times.

I live in the Lakewood area and wanted to have my braces done close by (in case of emergencies). So, I looked up local orthodontists and found that Dr. Patricia Simon, of Lakewood Orthodontics was, get this, within 1 mile of my location. Ah, how much better could you get (other than living next door)? So, I go in for a consultation and am immediately impressed by the modern setup of the facility, the cordial attitude of the staff, and the degree of professionalism and knowledge of the head honcho herself. I decide to go ahead and proceed with my embarassing display of metal and almost two years later, I'm going to be done. Over that period of time, I've come to know and love the staff, especially the Doc herself and enjoy the often speedy experience I have here. Whenever a bracket has come off (typically happened when I first got them on), I was always able to get in to have the bracket reglued et cetera. The appointments I've gone in for are always quick, especially the early morning ones. There have been times that I walked in and thought I'd be waiting for a while so I grabbed a cup of tea. Well, by the time I poured the water they were ready for me and I didn't even get to drink the tea! So, if you're looking for a good, clean, friendly place to take yourself or your youngster to have their braces put on, I highly recommend Dr. Simon and Lakewood Orthodontics.

The environment is friendly for all, but the employees who worked there when I was growing up even remember me now as an adult and come say hi. Recently, my permanent retainer fell out so I visited to get a new retainer put in. They treat their patients so well and always charge fair prices for retainer work. After my new retainer was put in, I needed a new removable retainer to go over it as my old one didn't fit. Now they take a scan of your teeth and turn it into a 3D model instead of using the not so fun molding. I was provided a copy of my 3D model so if I ever have any issues with my removable retainers I can just drop the models off at the office to get new retainers made. How easy is that?!

Today is even worse because I show up for the appointment and am notified that the doctor is not in and rescheduling will have to be done. That's another day of missed work without pay. The doctor has a charging rate that is different from the women up front pet patient but you will receive the surprise after service and need to pay up...
