Always look forward to my visits, like today's appointment, I've been going here for over a year now and it's been great. Dr. Askins is gentle, thorough, and very informative. Always have fun talking to the hygienist. They never try to sell me anything I don't need. For example, before coming here, I visited another location around the Uptown area, they wanted me to get a crown, where the tooth wasn't causing any problems. Went to see Dr. Askins for a second opinion, advise me I don't need it, placed me on a dental plan and I couldn't be more appreciative. Saved me a lot of $$$ and my teeth and gum are as healthy if not more healthy than before. The entire staff are really friendly. Don't over look this establishment!! read more

The new location doesn't have an elevator and don't have an estimate as to when they'll get one. I'm in a wheelchair and can't access their office even though I've been a patient here for over 15 years. It is completely in violation of the ada law. I'm having to find a new dentist now because they can't follow a law that was established in 1990. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! CON ARTISTS! I never leave reviews but what happened to me and my boyfriend here is just DISGUSTING and DESPICABLE. I had been going to this dentist since I moved to the Dallas area. When I went he told me I needed multiple cavities fixed, a root canal, a total bill amounting to thousands of dollars. I always thought the place was a bit of a rip off but I told myself "He's the expert" so he knows better. I started to think something was up when he fixed a cavity and told me that he didn't even need to numb me. I wondered how a cavity could be bad enough to fix but not bad enough to numb. Anyway, my suspicions were confirmed today. My boyfriend had gone here at my recommendation. He walked out with being told he needed to fix TWELVE cavities. He put off going back because the estimate for fixing the cavities was also thousands of dollars. Fast forward to today and my boyfriend goes to another dentist who did an EXTENSIVE examination. My boyfriend had NO CAVITIES. He didn't even have teeth that might possibly need work. They said that with the exception needing a cleaning his teeth were fine. If Dr. Askins had said he needed one or two cavities fixed I could have brushed it off but 12 cavities?! I'm disgusted and appalled that they're still in business. DO NOT GO!! read more

My experience at Knox Village dentistry has always been positive. I have been coming here for the past year and I haven't had any issue. My first visit went smooth and they handled a filling that came off- i was so worried but the team handled it great and always in a nice professional manner. The office is always clean and the ambiance relaxing and modern- the new office is AWESOME! You have the option to watch Netflix as you wait for your appointment to be done. The people that work in the office are very respectful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a dentist. WARNING!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Do NOT go here! My husband and I came for a cleaning on a Saturday and it was the worse cleaning I ever had. Crazy since the dentist did it, you would think he would have done a good job. That is not the case. He basically used a water pick and was done in 2 minutes. Then he told my husband he needed a root canal and a crown. My husband went back and had the work done. While they did the work they jacked up another healthy tooth and caused nerve damage. He was in so much pain on a tooth that was perfectly normal before the visit so he went back. My husband mentioned how he thinks the dental assistant couldn't get the temporary crown off and ended up damaging the other tooth while trying to get it off. The dentist said most likely and you will need root canal on that tooth. Didn't even offer to fix the tooth they messed up. We since then went to another dentist and will never be returning! read more

Came here for a dental exam and cleaning a couple of weeks ago, had a great experience! Ended up scheduling a teeth whitening appointment today and had amazing results with their "10minute whitening" service. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. It could be the Nitrous they pumped me with today, but I doubt it. I was here last week for a cleaning, and while the wait was a bit lengthy, the cleaning was fast, and yet, they were thorough and got me out of there just when I needed. Today, I had four fillings done, and they were so courteous and gentle! I'm a big wussy at the dentist, but they gave me some gas which made me comfortable. The doctor walked me through everything he was doing, and he always made sure I was feeling good (I was definitely was with the GAS!) they have great pricing specials regardless of insurance, too. read more

I just had an appointment yesterday. I chose this office after a deep search for other dentist in the Dallas area. The reviews were really good. So I decided to give this place a shot. I just moved here and haven't gone to the dentist in years. It was a little confusing to find, but once I was in the office the staff was exceptional! I went for the first time today and almost accidentally. I thought i had scheduled somewhere else. Anyway i have a deep phobia of dentists, stemming from child and young adulthood dentist experiences, without any sedation. I have serious dental issues, including severe periodontal disease. I was anxious to say the least, but this was probably my first 'positive' dentist experience ever. I am 57. I was given all the information bad news as it was, and several options to pay for all the procedures. I wish i could afford to do all the work at once, but that is not an option. Anyway, I once again have some hope to save some of my teeth for a few more years, and thank Dr. Askins, the hygenist who was super nice, and the person in charge of book keeping. They all took their time, and made me feel at ease. Dr. Askins made some awesome 'german' jokes, since that is where I am from. The deep cleaning, which was done right after the evaluation went well, and I did not feel any pain, also a first. I got some discounts as well, and think i may be able to have a decent 'mouth' by next September. Check them out, you will not be disappointed. read more
