Gene's cleaners is topnotch! I took my wedding dress there to be cleaned-after 32 YEARS! Chuck the owner gave the dress to his daughter to work on. The very next day I received a call to come get my dress-it was amazing! AFTER 32 years mind you. My husband, son and mother take all our cleaning there. The cleaning is always ready on time,the staff is very helpful and knows most of the customers by name. Many times, my order is off the rack and waiting for me before I even get out of the car. By far the best dry cleaning i've ever had. I'm a business student in Iowa so you can Imagine that I need my shirts done right. After trying others cleaners closer to me, I still can't find one that does my shirts nearly as good as Gene's Drive In. My family has done business with this cleaners for over thirty years. I moved to Dolton and Glenwood and I still bring my clothes here. Two weeks ago I spilled spaghetti sauce on my white suite. I put Dawn dish washing detergent on the spot and then took it to Genes Cleaners and they were able to get rid of the blue stain from the Dawn as well as the spaghetti stain. This cleaners does an excellent job, cleaning your clothes. Additionally they take the time to leave you a note regarding the needs of your clothes. You can go to CD One cleaners and they won't charge you the extra charge like Gene's ....but other cleaners like CD One price will not clean your clothes.
