    The Godfather (Coal Fire)
    Jennifer C.

Fantastic pizza with a variety of Italian menu items in the menu. We got a 14" The Godfather coal fired pizza for our first visit here and it was exceptional. The pizza was prepared and fired within view of the dining room and the brick pizza oven is full of that hot fire glow from old world traditions. Our pizza came out fast due to the ultra hot oven, and the fire char on the crust was one of my favorite parts. We will absolutely be returning. This pizza place is located in a plaza with shared parking. I saw customers grabbing carryout, dining in and eating quickly at the countertop bar. Check about weekday lunch specials such as 2 slices & a drink.

You make fresh Cannoli and STUFFED Zeppoli and don't have coffee??? Not even Italian coffee, just regular brown coffee... Seriously... When we're OTB on the mainland, Genna is the PFP (Place for Pizza) and soooo much more. The Coal fired pies are amazing, the stuffed garlic knots are insane, their regular oven pies are equally top-notch, and the traditional Pizzaria atmosphere is pure Patchogue, NY

I have to say this place is absolutely amazing. I saw the man on Facebook eating meatballs that were stopped in garlic knots and had to go and try it. I stopped today after work and had the garlic knots which are huge. There are three huge garlic knots with meatballs, I ate a half of one and was full. Turned around and ordered the Stromboli because it looks so good took a bite and I'm taking it all home. Dinner for days but I'm telling you this place has great food. I cannot believe that I have not heard about it before. Service is great. The waitress was super nice and the ambience is quite comfortable and quaint and they order pizzas that are Firestone, food is delicious and I can't believe that I have not been here before. If you haven't tried it you better step up and go. The food is delicious.

Outstanding food and service. Dined in at the main location tonight. I had been hunting a good Detroit style pizza with that lovely caramelized/burnt brick cheese for a minute and didn't want to drive back to Orlando for it - reviews showed that Genna was worth a try and they were bang on. I got pepperoni, Chicago sausage, mushroom, and onion and a side of garlic knots with Alfredo sauce. Perfectly cooked, PLENTY of toppings, cut into four HUGE slices. Needed a bigger knife to cut the thing. Service was very kind and friendly, attentive and efficient. My tea never even got halfway empty before she was refilling. It's a trope at this point, but like the governator said, I'll be back. The website doesn't make it clear but there is seating at the restaurant for dine-in and they were playing Delilah on the radio so the vibes were excellent.

24" Cheese never disappoints. Great NY Pizza. Awesome crust and flavor. Staff is amazing and always professional and friendly.

Genna was incredibly busy when we arrived on a Friday evening, but everyone was very courteous and helpful. We started with a plate of garlic knots with red sauce, which disappeared faster than we would have liked. My husband and I split a house salad, which was good but unremarkable. We ordered a smaller margherita pizza for our son and a larger Manhattan pizza with pears, arugula, and pepper dews for me and my husband. Both pizza were very good. Both the dough and tomato sauce at Genna are exceptional. The pear base on the Manhattan was a little sweet for my taste, though I eat a mostly sugar-free diet. The pears were balanced out by the spicy-sweet pepper dews, so I would get it again. Our son is a cannoli expert, as he has had homemade cannolis in over a dozen bakeries in New York and New Jersey. He likes the one at Genna best. My husband got a couple glasses of Merlot to go with our pizza, sand I was happy with their large selection of bottled IPAs.

This is our go to pizza spot. And I am surprised I had not reviewed it earlier. Recommend looking for their flyer. Has really good coupons. This night we had a salad, mozzarella sticks and an 18 inch pepperoni pizza ($27.99). We added garlic knots separate from the coupon. Mozzarella sticks were good with hot marinara. We shared the house salad. The lettuce had a purple hue to some of the pieces but it was cold and we ate it. Not bad but not the standard we have grown used to. Pizza a came out and was very hot and fresh. They use a coal fired oven and the bottom of the pie was pretty dark burnt even but not really sure if it was just coal dust. The staff is very attentive for how busy this place gets. Lots of take out and every table full of folks. That should tell ya something. Protip. Some of the best wings in town.

Pizza is always delicious when you order from Genna's! The best of the best.

I'm sure the menu items have not changed that much, but it appears now that the quality of Genna Pizza has taken a hit recently. They are not putting enough mozzarella cheese on pizza and online there isn't an option for any extra cheese. Online ordering for this restaurant is difficult now. Also the prices have changed...just be aware of that. The crust has a great flavor but the extra charges are a question mark for me. I will go back, sometime. But, I won't be going as usual because of these things I've noted. I had to give 2 stars.

Great little place that kicks out some incredible coal/hickory fired pizzas and wings! Came by today and ordered the Marg and White pies with their Peruvian Wings and couldn't be happier. Friendly folk and bar seating.

This was a terrible experience. I drove 45 mins to try this place. They make it seem good on social media. 100% not NY pizza. How can you possibly call this slice a buffalo chicken pizza.

I love my NY pizza, but I already have that in Charlotte. I want some good Chicago Deep Dish on my trip to Florida. Is this the place to get it?…

Concept wise yes it is good deep dish only thing that would make it a true Chicago deep dish would be if they had the buttery flaky crust. The crust in their deep dish is pizza dough. Even with the pizza dough it is fantastic.

When you order chicken parm. does it come with spaghetti like all places do?

Yes if you get it as an entree.

**FAREWELL REVIEW**…read more After what I think may have been a couple of years, I am saddened to write that Wonder Waffel in Melbourne is officially closed since 9 p.m. on Sunday night, August 30th. It was their last "hurrah" as money went to charity, as long-time patrons enjoyed one last wonder waffel, and for me, a chance for my friends who never got to enjoy a wonder waffel to have a taste of it, too. Everything from my previous post WAS in effect until they closed plus more, but I wanted to give one last update on how wonderful Serena and Jack are, and how much their business have brought together the community and enticed my fellow Yelpers to come all the way from Orlando just to try them. Their food was always on top for what they served. You have to understand that whole foods made the way they had is always going to be in a pricier side, but what you get is good, excellent even. They soon expanded with grilled cheese waffles, ice creams, and smoothies. All were good. But what makes Wonder Waffel amazing is how much it gave back to the community, the same community that did everything to give to them. They've supported numerous charitable causes, local businesses, and was even the location of my first letterbox hide in the international scavenger hunt game, letterboxing (similar to geocaching but way older and more old school). Wonder Waffel is now closed, but the legacy that Serena and Jack left behind will always be cherished amongst those close to them, especially since many friendships were established with them. And to be fair, the fact they are a niche and their location - which I have mentioned in my initial review - is a terrible location in my honest opinion, they've endured. I can only wish them the best in their future endeavors while this sweet chapter in their lives, in our lives, comes to a close.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.
