Sadly saying goodbye to a longtime favorite. We are regulars and order every Friday night from our favorite pizza place. We have a tight budget, like most, so this is a treat. When I opened the app tonight there were obvious changes to the offerings. Our favorites were gone and there was only one bogo item. I'm a small business owner too so I gave this a knowing pass. There's no option on the app for extra cheese. You can order all the toppings in the world, just not extra cheese. So for the last 6 months, we've just added a note that said "extra cheese if you got it". And it happened. Every single time. But after ordering their only bogo pizza deal, applying a $5 Mother's Day coupon, 2 pizzas (2 toppings) ran me $48. That wasn't the original price though. I was charged several dollars less originally. $41 to be exact. It felt expensive, but I was tired, it was Mother's Day weekend, and I already told the kids we were getting our usual. Approximately 5 minutes later I got an alert on my phone that my bank account was being changed $7 more. I had no option to decline. No say in the matter. They were taking that money out of my account without my permission. I went to uber help and it told me that was something restaurants can do. 2 pizzas with 2 toppings, with a bogo deal and a bonus $5 off Mother's Day coupon set me back $48. Just, no. It took an hour after I placed the order before the restaurant made it. Only 2 pizzas. Thank God my driver waited that long. It was stone cold when it got to us. Please know, when you order from this app, the restaurants can take more out of your account. I'm so glad I never invested in Uber One and definitely will never order from this restaurant again. read more

We stopped in for some pizza on our way home from Melbourne. The inside is casual and staff here were all really friendly. We reviewed the menu and decided to get two slices after our server said the slices were quite large. He was correct; I'm glad we just got a slice each because I could barely finish one! We ordered a Genna slice which had a variety of meats, green pepper, olives, and mushrooms, and a plain cheese since we like checking out the "base pizza" anytime we go to a pizza spot the first time. We cut the slices in half so we could try both. The cheese pizza was a yummy classic slice with a tasty crust and good cheese/sauce ratio. The Genna was also delicious with its blend of plentiful toppings. Everything tasted very fresh and good. This is a nice pizza spot and I'd definitely return! read more

I just ate at Gennas Pizza after hearing Rave Reviews of this place as if it was the BEST PIZZA IN BREVARD. I am now Questioning my friends who sent me that Quote. SERIOUSLY I have eaten at the Number 2,3 & 4 Best Pizzeria's in the USA. Number 4 is in Florida in Saint Augustine named "Pizza Time." Genna's Pizza unfortunately in my mind ranks a 3 star restaurant no more and no less. Here's my experience. The other day at about 7 pm we called in our order for takeout Pizza.. the nice girl who answered the phone told us there would be a 40 minute wait to get it. No problem We went there early and it was POURING down rain about 25 minutes into the 40 minutes we were there early to find out that they had already made our pizza's. I thought that was GREAT After paying for it I wanted to look at the pizza's before leaving. The server who prepped the pizza's didn't put in the pizza divider to prevent the pizza from sticking to the box. ALL OF THE CHEESE was stuck to the box lid The server said MY BAD to her Boss. I am guessing now that this isn't the First Time this server had screwed up. So they told me they had to remake our entire 2 pizza order. So back out to my car i went to explain to my wife what was going on. I ended up getting my pizza and it ended up taking a total of 40 minutes this was on a Thursday. So totally Soaked i went home I realized when I went home that because of their ERROR they didn't try to make it right by giving me garlic rolls or a coupon for my next visit. They didn't care about me having to go back and forth in the POURING RAIN. I guess this is their Standard Business of Not Caring about their Customers or their reputations! I get home and we ate our dinner. At the end of our dinner I asked so what do you think ??? Everyone agreed The Pizza was not anything special. Its wasn't like other people Hyped it to be it was So So. The Bottom Line here is would we go there again ??? Blah blah blah.....Genna makes a damn good pie, period. I had The Godfather: mozzarella, Chicago sausage, soppressata picante, cherry tomatoes, and pecorino Romano. We first stumbled across Genna Pizza a few years ago and were completely blown away by the stuffed garlic knots. We live over an hour away so it took us sometime to make it back and it didn't disappoint. The location can be found in a strip mall of sorts, there is shared parking lot. Dining area is small but not cramped or to loud. You can watch food being prepared. Our server was good and attentive despite being quite busy. So the first time I had Genna Pizza it was a very bad experience. I haven't given it another try in quite some time. A couple of my friends mentioned recently that Genna has a coal fired oven. It peaked my curiosity, so I thought I would give it another try. I called and ordered one of their coal fired specialty pizzas. When I went to pick it up the place appears to be completely run by teenagers. Where is an adult? Not a good sign but I took my pizza and home I went. So when I got home and opened the box what was inside was amazing. The pizza was burnt and soggy at the same time. You could not even taste the sauce or the "brooklyn" mozzarella at all. The toppings were burned to a crisp and the bottom had a heavy dusting of burnt black flour. In the end it was inedible and went into the trash. Genna will survive this review because after all these years nothing has improved. This is mostly because some people in the area clearly have no idea what a good pizza tastes like. So if you are thinking about giving Genna a ring, do yourself a favor and call someone else, anyone else. It can't be much worse right? Tried to order a door dash order here the other night. Placed my order and should have known something was wrong when the order was waiting to be confirmed for a while. Eventually two separate dashers waited for my order at the location for 25 minutes each. About 1:15 minutes later the order was canceled as "the establishment could not fulfill my order." We ate here around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, our first visit, and the food was fantastic! We started with garlic knots and they were some of the best that we have ever had. My husband had a fresh pasta dish with sausage and the portion was huge. Definitely enough for two people to share. Our lunch guests had lasagna and stromboli and loved their choices. I had a slice of pizza and it was delicious, too. For dessert we tried the cannoli, and it was super tasty. Definitely made on premises. We had a wonderful time at Genna's pizza Sunday! After looking at their menu and reading the reviews we decided to go try it out. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious their food is. Started with the Greek salad that we shared. Loaded with feta cheese, fresh tomatoes,lettuce,and much more. Next we had a specialty pizza, broccoli rabe and sausage. Loads of toppings on a thin crispy crust cooked in their wood fired oven. I was impressed by their staff too. Great service! Everyone of the staff were very busy as this place also has a large takeout section. The first place in this area I have found a pizza place that has broccoli rabe. I live in Palm Bay and the prospects of driving 25 minutes to get a pizza was not of great interest to me. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a very full restaurant on a Monday with wonderful scents coming from the kitchen. My order for 2 large pizzas 18" and the Peruvian chicken wings were quite not ready. However after a short wait, the food came out to go. We drove home and opened the boxes to find very large, excellent cheese pizza and pepperoni. Neither were soggy or greasy. The crust(s) were crispy and sauce flavorful. Legit pizza spot. Glad we had this as one of our last meals in Melbourne. We went late and night and the windows were tinted super dark which to me is awesome and you know it's on point. It's small quaint place inside. We got the wings and meat lovers pizza. The wings were piping hot and seriously amazing. Maybe some of the best I've had. Mild and garlic were the ones we got. They weren't small either, they were huge and you could tell they have a good supplier. The ranch they had was also awesome which matched the flavor of everything we got. The meat lovers pizza was massive because we got a 24" and I literally only ate one slice. The pizza came out hot fresh out of the oven and even our server served us the first slice because each slice was a lot. The meats were great and tasted fresh. The crust had a nice crunch to it. A little flop but to be expected with the slice so large. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Which is super important these days (especially after some negative ones we've had recently) and we are grateful. The Home Depot shelving is a nice touch for the massive pizza boxes they need. Absolutely awesome place for a slice of pizza and OMG the crust is to die for . I honestly am extremely pleased with this pizza place their menu has so many items and it seems that they have a lot of regulars that come. We also had what I believe to be the owner come over to check to make sure that everything was up to our satisfaction which was very nice. The slices are big but so flavorful I would definitely go back again. It seems that they do a lot of takeout business as well as I saw what I believed to be a 28 inch pizza going out for delivery. I have been to Genna several times and have never left disappointed. My favorite thing to order is their World's Largest Slice of the Grandma pizza- it's so good and fills me up! I also love their garlic knots, and you can tell they're handmade. It is a smaller dining room, but every time I've gone there's never been a wait. Sometimes delivery or pickup can take up to 2 hours and several times we have received cold pizza by the time it arrived. Ready times through online ordering is often wrong as well. Genna had me at "coal-fired". This place is great. The restaurant is very casual and unassuming, we're usually greeted by the owner or another friendly staff member immediately. Our apps of choice are the Peruvian coal fired wings, or the calamari. The Peruvian wings are huge, and blackened and crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside, as all ribs should be. They come with a nice light cilantro sauce on the side but would be good with the classics too. For pizza, we have tried several, but landed on the New Yorker as our usual. We add fresh basil to this meat and ricotta slice of heaven and it's some of the best pizza I've had. Also a big fan they have coke zero on fountain and always offer to send home home with a to go cup. If you're still hungry, or just a glutton like myself, take home a slice of Mamas homemade cakes, made fresh from another local baker. Our favorites so far has been the cookies and cream. If you want a table at 7, get there at 6. I think they only have like 2 delivery cars. You will be waiting if you order delivery. I'm not sure what the problem is. Staff, organization, training? But whatever it is, it's been this way for years. And I don't see it changing. That being said, if you can handle the waiting, you will not be disappointed. The pizza is amazing. True, foldable, huge slices. Great crust. Great flavor. It drips with grease. If you wanna dab it off with a napkin, go for it. We LOVE the coal fired pizza. The calzones and Stromboli are equally delicious. We have had a few where the toppings weren't distributed well. Overall they are great The real star is the garlic knots. Get them. Lots of them. Get the Alfredo to dip them in. You will not be sorry. Plan accordingly cause you will eat more of these than you should. Lastly, if you get take out, there's absolutely zero place to wait before picking up. Make sure you keep checking with the host to see if food is done . They don't call out names.
